Zippers most often fail for two basic reasons: overuse and underuse. Overuse often results in the aforementioned separated zipper. Over time, the tension on the slider loosens to the point it can no longer apply enough pressure to pull the teeth together.
Missing or broken zipper teeth can prevent your fastener from working. In this case, you may need to replace the entire zipper with a repair kit. While you can use pliers to put bent teeth back in place, you`ll need a new chair if the teeth are altogether missing.
Reasons Zippers Separate
The most likely reason is that the slide is loose and unable to close the teeth anymore. Another possibility is that the teeth are out of line and won`t latch together.
A zipper with molded plastic teeth is similar to that of a zipper made of metal teeth with the only difference being the teeth are molded out of plastic. These teeth are manufactured with high-performance resins, making them extremely strong, resulting in very durable and flexible zippers.
To fix zipper teeth that won`t stay closed, you can tighten the zipper slider or replace it. If the zipper teeth are broken or it`s missing a tooth, it might be time to replace the whole zipper. And if the zipper feels stiff and isn`t sliding, try to fix it by using a candle.
Description. A metal zipper consists of two rows of protruding teeth made of metal. The metal teeth may be made of Brass, Aluminium or Nickel, and they are designed to interlock like clasped hands, linking the rows, thus creating a “Continuous Clothing Closure” as Elias Howe would have referred to it.
Use cutting pliers (“nippers”) to cut and pull metal zipper teeth from the zipper tape. Use nippers to cut away the plastic zipper teeth heads. After removing the plastic zipper teeth heads, use the nippers to snip the rest of the plastic teeth from the zipper tape.

Fishing pole replacement tip. I have a replacement kit but how do you get the broken tip off. The end of the pole is not broken and the broken tip is still firmly glued on.
Most fishing rods are made of graphite, and are very easily breakable. i suggest that you find a way to CAREFULLY saw or file off the tip as close to the glue as you can, preserving as much of the rod as you can. maybe a knife or serrated blade of some sort could get through the tip. i have lost ALOT of fights with BIG fish and i usually end up replacing tips… NOTE that using a new tip will reduce sensitivity in your rod but not too much

small holes for lines. Made of anodized aluminum.
I have two Taylor drivers – one with a broken head and one with a broken shaft – can the shaft of one be used on the other to give one club that can be used?
Are you willing to sell the package? I’m interested in picking up an r7 and I like doing that sort of work myself. It goes towards my credits. Give me a call if interested. Even if you still have the broken head I’d be interested in talking to you.
