I have a York high efficiency furnace that is not firing all the the time. The unit is about 4 to 5 years old & has been doing this for a few months now and getting progressively worse. (model # GM9S08B12DH11G) The trouble code light inside is blinking a rapid red, indicating a Twinning Error, Incorrect 24V Phasing.
Experienced athletes share their insights in answering this question:
Has anyone worked on this furnace because the error would indicate that the positive 120 volt and the neg 120 volt is swapped , these units will also do this when the ground wire to the furnace or gas valve or furnace or @ the panel is lose , corroded , or missing , the gnd must be present to open valve , I am aware that ac is is not usually polarity sensitive but in this case it most certainly is …have seen many time and know it to be true

How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

A faulty or stuck pressure switch could be the cause. A pressure switch is a safety device that can stop the operation of the furnace if there isn`t enough airflow for proper combustion. These switches can become stuck open or fail. Cracked, clogged or broken hoses running to the pressure switch may be the problem.
The simple answer is “yes” – but for a good reason! High efficiency furnaces run more often to save energy and reduce your utility bills. By running more consistently, the furnace can operate at an even pace throughout the day rather than working hard in spurts.
If your gas furnace initiates the start cycle but does not fire up, it`s likely because of a faulty, damaged, or dirty ignitor/sensor. This is a very common furnace problem—you can try to clean the sensor and replace the ignitor.
A high-efficiency furnace should be running at least 80% of the day if not longer.
If your furnace shuts off after a few minutes and starts more than eight times an hour, it may require repair. Common causes of furnace short cycling include restricted airflow, a malfunctioning flame sensor, or a poorly placed thermostat.
With all that being said, if there are no extreme factors involved, the average run time for a furnace is 10-15 minutes per cycle. Your furnace may need to run two to three times an hour to maintain your desired temperature if your home has average insulation.
Industry research shows some expected time frames for how long a furnace runs during a particular cycle. Running 10 to 15 minutes per cycle seems acceptable. So is running as long as 20 minutes. Even running every seven or eight minutes may not be a problem, as other factors could lead to more frequent cycling.
Because they use sealed combustion, the contractor will add PVC pipes in place of the traditional metal pipes. Otherwise, the exhaust from a high-efficiency furnace will corrode the metal. And because these furnaces will produce condensation, they also need drains.
Furnace short-cycling refers to a furnace that`s switching itself on and off too frequently. It`s normal for a furnace to turn on and off periodically. They are designed to cycle on and off, but a standard home furnace should only turn on and off between three to eight times per hour.
To find out your furnace`s efficiency, first check the vents. If your furnace vents out of a metal pipe and/or chimney flue, it`s a low-efficiency or “standard” furnace. If it vents out of a plastic PVC pipe, it`s high-efficiency.
If your furnace shuts down after a few minutes, it`s likely due to a faulty or unhygienic flame sensor. This crucial component intends to monitor the gas burner. Also, when a flame sensor cannot detect the burner, the furnace runs for a few moments before shutting down and restarting.
When your furnace is trying to regulate the temperature in your home it will have to turn on and off regularly. On average this cycling should occur anywhere from three to eight times an hour. There are many factors at play that determine how often your furnace will cycle in the winter.
If you find your furnace blowing cold air, you may have a dirty or clogged air filter. To make sure, remove the air filter and inspect it. If it`s clogged with dust, clean it with compressed air or wash it in warm water with mild soap or just buy a new one.
Check your air filter. A clogged or dirty air filter can cause short cycling. A clogged or dirty air filter can strangle off airflow to your system. Reduced airflow can not only put strain on your system, but it can also cause short cycling symptoms.
According to ENERGY STAR, setting your thermostat to 68 degrees Fahrenheit (20 degrees Celsius) when you`re home is the ideal balance of comfort and energy efficiency.
A clogged filter is probably the most common reason for this problem, so it`s a good place to start investigating. Take a look at your filter and, if it`s really dirty and clogged, it means there`s restricted airflow to your furnace. This may be keeping it from being able to create heat.
Most likely, your furnace is making a clicking noise and not providing heat because your furnace`s spark igniter is trying to ignite your pilot light or burners but is failing to do so. In other words, there`s an ignition system malfunction that needs to be fixed. Otherwise, your furnace won`t start.
Check Your Thermostat

If your heating system will not turn on, the first thing you should do is check the thermostat. The thermostat`s battery may have gone bad, causing it to power off. If your thermostat is hardwired, a power surge, brownout, or brief power outage may have caused the thermostat to lose its settings.

I have a York Stellar model mid efficiency furnace Model # P?UCD12N07601A, Serial # EXAM3600524 installed in 1992. The HSI was replaced approximately 3 months ago. Over the last two weeks the ventor motor comes on, the HSI lights but does not ignite the gas. The ventor motor runns continously and the HSI continues to turn off and on without gas ignition. Some times by turning the ventor motor off and on (by opening and closing the bottom furnace faces panel door) will give be ignition after the HSI goes through 1-4 cycles. If I can’t get it to work I call my furnace repair guy. The serviceman thought it was the pressure switch and ordered one. Just this last weekend I had no heat and another service guy came in replaced the HSI again and adjusted the pressure switch and said this fix should work. Less than a day later furnace still experiencing the same problem-Ventor motor comes on, HSI comes on but no gas ignition. ventor motor runs continuously and the temperature in the house drops! I’m frustrated and the servicemen don’t seem to know how to fix the problem for good.
ANSWER : Make sure the vent pipes that exhaust the fumes are not blocked in any way and also check the drain line to be sure it is not kinked from the vent motor to the trap. Take the hoses off the vent motor and the pressure switch and make sure all the hoses are clean and free from debris also check the trap on the drain hose and make sure it has water in it if it doesn’t this will creat a negative pressure in the vent motor housing not allowing the vent pressure switch to make.

I have a multifunction sports watch that i bought from Big W, (no brand name)

By accident i set the watch to 24 hour time, originally it was set to 12 hour time, how do i set it back? ive tried every button combo including the button combo i used when i accidently set it on 24 hour time, the instructions only say how to set the time and date, it doesnt say how to toggle between 12 hour and 24 hour time, is there a generic way to toggle it on sparts watches? btw, holding the mode button in does nothing on my watch, no matter how long i hold it in for

ANSWER : Hi. How may buttons do you have, 3 or 4 buttons?if you have the 4 buttons, try this:You need to go through the time and date settings again. The 24 and 12hr format select is at the end of time/date adjustment. To set the time and date:-press the top-left button then right-top button to set the seconds, press bottom-left button to set hour then press top-right button to adjust hour, press bottom-left button to set the minute then press top-right button to adjust minute. To set date, press the bottom-left button then press top-right button to adjust month, press bottom-left button then top-right button to adjust day and finally press bottom-left button to set the time format then press top-right button to select 12hour format. Press top-left button when done.Since you have a generic sports watch, it is hard to write specific instructions to set the time format. If your watch has different ways of setting the time, just remember that the 12/24hour format is usually at the end of time and date adjustment.Let me know if you have questions. Good luck.

My vulcan 1500 1997 back fire somme time wy
ANSWER : Lean gas mixture. or the valve timing is off, but probably both. A lean mix will run really hot and allow for secondary combustion in the pipes (backfire) when the valves let even a bit of uncombusted gas through. My guess is that the bike hasn’t had the carbs cleaned out thoroughly in a while. Run a half can of Sea Foam with your full tank of gas to help clean out the carbs, but really you should take them apart and dip them to clean everything out. Also you could adjust your pilot screw settings to make it run a bit more rich, but then you are just compensating for the dirty carbs. That’s just my guess.
