Premium 40:1 Two-Cycle Smokeless Synthetic Blend Engine Oil with Fuel Stabilizer for use with all brands of 2-Cycle Ice Drills. New reformulated 40:1 gas mixture reduces emissions. JIFFY® has taken the next step for a cleaner environment!
Re: Fuel mix for jiffy model 30 ice augers? 10.5 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of fuel. Use non ethanol gas of you can.
Use unleaded regular gas only. Run earth auger with a 50:1 ratio. Fuel must be mixed in a container outside in a well ventilated area.
Use good quality oil and we recommend using an oil ratio of 40:1 (3.2 oz / 1 gallon of gas).
If your carburettor has a main jet adjustment screw at the base of the float bowl, turn the screw clockwise until you feel it just touch the seat inside the emulsion tube. Then, turn the screw counterclockwise 1 to 1-1/2 turns. Replace the air cleaner assembly and start the engine for final carburettor adjustments.
Only Jiffy® Power Ice Drills use high-speed, single reduction gearboxes. These gearboxes turn the ice drills counter-clockwise. All other drills turn clockwise.
If you`re using a different brand of 2-Stroke oil, you`ll need to mix at 25:1 (40mls oil per 1 litre fuel). Petrol has limited shelf life (as low as 30 days), so always mix with fresh regular unleaded purchased from a reputable large volume fuel supplier.
Common gasoline and oil mix ratios are 50:1 and 40:1. Meaning there is 50/40 parts gasoline to one part oil when mixed. The lower the mix ratio number the more oil per volume in the gasoline. To mix properly add oil to your gas can, then add fresh gasoline from the pump.
The theoretical air–fuel ratio mixture for a gasoline fueled engine, for complete gasoline fuel combustion, the stoichiometric air–fuel ratio is about 14.7:1. In order to completely burn 1 kg of gasoline fuel, the combustion process needs 14.7 kg of air.
Q: How Do I Know if My Carburetor Needs Adjusting? A: Simply put, poor running conditions are a dead giveaway. A rough idle, poor throttle response, and excessive fuel consumption are all signs to look for. If the carburetor was sitting for some time or hasn`t been serviced in a while, you may need to clean it first.
Find the adjustment screws on the front of the carburetor.

There should be two screws on the front of the carburetor, which are used to adjust the air and fuel mixture. These often look like flat-head screws, and you can use a screwdriver to turn them, adjusting the amount of fuel and air mixing in the carb.

The ideal chemical air-fuel ratio, in which all the fuel is oxidized, is 14.7:1, that is, 14.7 parts air to 1 part fuel.
With the engine at normal operating temperature, adjust all the idle mixture screws until the engine idles at the desired rpm with the highest manifold vacuum. Once that`s achieved, lean the air-fuel mixture by adjusting the mixture screw clockwise a tiny amount for each adjustment screw.
To adjust the Air/Gas ratio, remove the safety screw (1) and adjust the offset using a 4mm allen key or Torx T40 key as appropriate. Once a satisfactory reading is reached, switch off the boiler and replace the safety screw and remove gauge.
This article shows you how to adjust the air fuel mixture and the idle air speed – the two most common adjustments made when tuning a carburetor.
The gap on the spark plug should be . 015”.
Product Details. Go light, go quick, and punch all the holes you`ll need with the easy-to-handle Jiffy® Model 30 XT™ 2-Cycle Gas Ice Auger. Weighing only about 30 lbs., this conventional ice drill generates exceptional hole-cutting power, yet is easy to transport around the ice.
If the auger is not turning you should first verify the motor is operating. The motor/gear box normally makes enough noise that you can hear it with the freezer door closed. If the motor is not operating then you can check it for continuity with a multi-meter.
The cutting head of an auger machine cuts through the earth`s surface breaking it down into the sand and loose dirt. This dirt, or “spoil,” is drawn out of the tunnel by the action of the helical coils of the auger itself, which rotates in a steel casing. The spoil is discharged into the entry pit and then removed.
The Jiffy-7® pellet: fine netting is filled with high-quality substrate and then compressed to form a handy pellet. Just add water, and the little planting wonder grows to up to seven times its size in a few moments. It is held together by fine netting, ensuring optimum air/water exchange.
1 litre bottle – 0781 319 8410

A 1 litre bottle is suitable for mixing with 50 litres of fuel to achieve a 50:1 fuel-oil ratio.

For a mixing ratio of 1 : 50 you need 5 litres of high-octane gas and 0.10 litres (100 ml) of STIHL two-stroke oil.
Mix at 50:1 (20mls oil per 1 litre fuel) when you`re using STIHL 2-Stroke oil.
But running a two-cycle engine with too little oil can actually destroy the unit. Oil helps cool the piston and cylinder by keeping them evenly lubricated. Without lubrication, the metals can melt and potentially grate against each other, transferring metal to and from one another and permanently distorting them.

I have a winchester 70 30-06 sprng. serial number is G2571946 I am looking to sell it and i would like to know what a fair price would be. would you be able to help me out with this?
ANSWER : Hi David, It’s har to pin down a specific price without knowing the actual year of the firearm. This rifle is post 64 so the value wont be as high as a pre-64. With that said and the information given and assuming that the gun is in fair to good condition you will be looking at roughly $450-$600 range. Accessories and modifications could raise or lower that approximation. I really hope that this points you in the right direction. I may be new to Fixya but i know my guns. Let me know if this helps.
