Shuffleboard has endured as a popular game for centuries, first showing up during the 1500s across the pond in the taverns and parlors of Great Britain. The original name of the earliest form of shuffleboard was simply “shove a penny,” as that action was the basic gist of the sport.
Today, shuffleboard is played predominately in two forms — outdoor shuffleboard, also known as ground shuffleboard, and indoor shuffleboard, also known as table shuffleboard. While these games carry the same name, they are very different in terms of rules and scoring.
The difference in game play is fairly straightforward. In the tabletop game, players use their hands to slide their disc down the playing field. In the deck variety, players push the large weights down the board using a long wooden “cue” specially designed for the game.
shuffleboard, also called shovelboard, original name shoveboard, game in which disks are shoved by hand or with an implement so that they come to a stop on or within a scoring area marked on the board or court (on a table, floor, or outdoor hard surface such as concrete).
Shuffleboard (more precisely deck shuffleboard, and also known as shuffleboard ) is a game in which players use cues to push weighted discs, sending them gliding down a narrow court, with the purpose of having them come to rest within a marked scoring area.
Table shuffleboard (also known as American shuffleboard, indoor shuffleboard, slingers, shufflepuck, and quoits, sandy table) is a game in which players push metal-and-plastic weighted pucks (also called weights or quoits) down a long and smooth wooden table into a scoring area at the opposite end of the table.
Although primarily played indoors inside of bars and home game rooms, table shuffleboard can also be played outdoors. Of course, it will need to be made of quality materials to endure the unrelenting effect of nature`s elements.
Shuffleboard is played by either two players (singles play, one against one) or four (doubles, two against two). It is played on an outdoor court measuring 52 feet long by 10 feet wide, although there are different dimensions available on new portable and indoor courts.
There are four different variations of the game: table shuffleboard, outdoor shuffleboard, deck shuffleboard, and shovelboard.
The official outdoor shuffleboard court is 6 feet wide by 39 feet in length plus a 6-foot shooting area at each end. According to the standard, each scoring zone is an isosceles triangle with the dimensions of 6 feet × 9 feet.
They may not require a lot of running about (if they do, you`re playing them wrong), but there`s no denying that the fastest reflexes get you the most reward. The reason why shuffleboard is so popular is that anyone can play – it is a game of patience, tactics and sleight of hand.
Game Play Rules

You shoot a yellow disc first to start the game. Play then alternates between black and back to yellow discs. Players can knock their opponent`s discs or their own discs out of the way or further onto the shuffleboard target. After all discs are shot, you tally the score and move to the next round.

A Sjoelbak is the board used for a game of Dutch origin known as Dutch Shuffleboard or Sjoelen. Sjoelen consists of each player being given three chances to slide the disks along the long two metre (6.5 feet) table in an attempt to get them through 4 arches at the other end.
Shuffleboard Materials: A Guide

Generally, shuffleboard courts (the full-sized, tournament-style variants) are made of concrete lined with a sort of plastic laminate or reinforced vinyl.

Shuffleboard is played by either two players (singles play, one against one) or four (doubles, two against two). It is played on an outdoor court measuring 52 feet long by 10 feet wide, although there are different dimensions available on new portable and indoor courts.
Shuffleboard is a popular sport that can be enjoyed by all. Using Mateflex outdoor court tiles over a solid surface like concrete or asphalt creates the ultimate shuffleboard court surface. Mateflex II provides the traction and grip needed for safety while having large perforations to allow for drainage when it rains.
Table shuffleboard looks quite simple. You push the weights, or pucks, with enough force to land in the scoring area and not fall off the side of the board into the alley. There are several types of shuffleboard games.
Sprinkling shuffleboard sand — also known as shuffleboard wax or shuffleboard powder — on your board is essential to ensure the pucks glide down the table correctly. This silicone-based powder also helps preserve your board.
Hand-eye coordination

Shuffleboard can help! Playing shuffleboard is a great way to improve hand-eye coordination and can even help with other aspects of life. Shuffleboard is a fun activity for aging adults, so they`ll be happy while they get their hand-eye coordination on point.

Shuffleboard wax is known by many different names: sand, dust, powder cheese, salt, sawdust, or silicone. Whatever you or others choose to call it, it still refers to the same kind of material that adds so many benefits to your overall shuffleboarding experience.
Games are played in frames until one player or team scores 51 points. Every player or team gets to finish each frame and the highest score is the winner (51 points or greater). If the player or team that scores 51 points or more has the hammer (the last player or team to play), then they are declared the winner.

ANSWER : Deck Shuffleboard points are calculated after all the pucks are
shot. Points only count if the entire puck is inside of one of the numbered
