Where is the battery located on a 2000 zx9r Ninja. I’m guessing it’s under the riders seat. Just want to make sure, before I try poping the seat off.

Locating Your Car Battery
Most models hold the battery under the bonnet in one of the front corners. However, some batteries are located in the car boot to balance weight distribution.
“Positive first, then negative. When disconnecting the cables from the old battery, disconnect the negative first, then the positive. Connect the new battery in the reverse order, positive then negative.”
The direction of an electric current is by convention the direction in which a positive charge would move. Thus, the current in the external circuit is directed away from the positive terminal and toward the negative terminal of the battery.
Locate The Battery
In most Mercedes-Benz models, the battery is on the right and inside of your trunk. In rarer versions, it is beneath back seats or in certain models like W203/R170 where it`s located next to the engine sink near the passenger side.
Seven different components make up a typical household battery: container, cathode, separator, anode, electrodes, electrolyte, and collector. Each element has its own job to do, and all the different parts of a battery working together create the reliable and long-lasting power you rely on every day.
Battery Charging Chemistry
Charging a battery reverses the chemical process that occurred during discharge. The sulphate and hydrogen ions basically switch places. The electrical energy used to charge a battery is converted back to chemical energy and stored inside the battery.
Batteries are typically aligned in opposite directions and next to one another so the current can flow smoothly with a minimal need for additional hardware. When batteries are arranged in a series, the (+) and (-) terminals must be connected; an alternating orientation makes this more efficient and easier to design.
The negative () cable is the ground cable; it is always connected to the frame or body metal and can safely be disconnected first with no chance of causing sparks. By the same token, always reconnect the positive cable before connecting the negative cable.
Connect the red clamp to the positive post on the dead battery. Connect the other red clamp to the positive post on the working battery. Connect the black clamp to the negative post on the working battery. Connect the last black clamp to an unpainted metal surface of your car.
The 3 Series battery can be found in the boot and not the engine compartment. Lift the floor panel up and remove from the boot. You will find the battery located on the right side of the boot under a plastic battery cover secured by three fasteners.
For a BMW sedan or SUV, the battery can be found underneath the hood. Plus, you have starting air terminals by the engine for when the battery may need to be charged. In a sedan like the 5 Series, the starting aid terminal in the engine compartment acts as the battery`s positive terminal.
The MINI Cooper battery is secured at the rear of the engine compartment on the driver`s side beneath a protective covering. Here`s how to access your MINI Cooper battery: Use an 8 mm socket to remove the three screws on top of the cover.
Jumper leads are located behind the driver`s seat. The vehicle`s battery is located beneath the front passenger seat (Figure 6, E).
Depending on power, size, and quality, prices for a replacement car battery range from about $45 to $250. Your local dealership, auto parts store or automotive service center can check your current battery or hook you up with a new car battery.
A car battery weighs between 25 to 50 pounds, on average. However, this value will vary depending on different factors. For example, the weight of your car battery is depended on the type of battery, the amount of voltage it has, the fluid level, and the type of vehicle it is in.
HOW MANY VOLTS IN A CAR BATTERY? When discussing car battery voltage, we`re generally talking about a 12-volt battery. When we take a closer look, we see car battery voltage can range anywhere from 12.6 to 14.4. With the engine off, the fully charged car battery voltage will measure 12.6 volts.

Connect positive first, negative having less potential won`t arc. The higher the voltage, the greater the chance of arcing and fusion. On a car if negative first and you are touching any metal part of car, when attaching positive there is possibility of arcing through you. Your body becomes part of the circuit.

How to insert battery. I have a 2 year old watch I have never used. I cannot get it to start so I presume the battery is dead. When I open the cover I find battery has a thin metal strip over it and cannot figure how to open it to get the battery out
ANSWER : Try to find a small micro liver to push and battery get released or try to slide the thin metal strip to any side so that u can take it out.

The battery unit of my byron sx81r doorbell is showing a red light continuously. I have changed the batteries in this and the doorbell. Batteries are also discharging very quickly. Is there a simple fix? I bought the doorbell 5 months ago so relatively new. Regards, Ray

Every time I replace the 4 AA batteries all camera
ANSWER : There is an internal battery back up for storing settings. It’s soldered to the main board and I don’t think it’s a rechargeable battery judging by the amount of people who have owned these cameras who have encountered the same problem.
It’s a watch type battery and these things do go flat after a few years and unless you know the type and voltage only fuji service centres can replace.
It won’t affect the camera’s performance it’s just a pain having to set up each time you change the batteries.

We have a 1994 HiLo FunLight camp trailer. The water pump does not come on when attempting to use the water.
The tank is full of water, the battery is fully charged, the trailer is connected to power. Any suggestions? Where is the fuse located? Where is the SureFlo Water Pump located in this trailer?

If there is a fuse or a breaker for the pump, it would more than likely be on the DC panel. The pump could be located in a variety of different places but would probably be under a sink, around or on top of water tank, or in storage under the bed, access being either by removing matteress and a panel hidden by matress or, by removing a drawer in the base of the bunks lower structure. You probably have a pressure valve in the line somewhere near your water inlet connection, you may want to check that and, the pump might be in thta area also.

I have a scooter which has 2 batteries they sit side by side.i forgot how to connect them up.i know the RED lead goes to the +on the first battery .then there is a short RED lead in the middle of the two what post does it go on the first & second battery. + or –
ANSWER : Hi and welcome to FixYa,Initially, postback with the brand and exact model number of the scooter.Offhand and to my understanding, the batteries are connected in series. If so:
RED lead to the + terminal of the 1st battery ( as you have posted);
– terminal of the 1st battery to one end of the short RED lead;
the other end of the short RED lead to the + terminal of the 2nd battery;
– terminal of the 2nd battery to usually a black wire.Please re-confirm by checking voltage rating of each of the battery and the voltage requirement of the scooter. Doing the above would result to voltage of 1st battery plus voltage of 2nd battery or if the same rating equal to double the rating of each battery.Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.
