Trying to warranty register my new stoeger double defense side by side double barrel shot gun. can’t find serial no?

How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

It`s a Stoeger M3000 and the serial number is right next to the loading port. I want to open it up for 3 gun. Yes, you just have to have a gunsmith do it.
Serial numbers are often located on the butt, but may also be located on the side of the frame. Some older single action revolvers have a serial number located on the frame just in front of the trigger guard. Some older top-break revolvers have serial numbers located on the top strap, beneath the cylinder.
The Federal Gun Control Act of 1968 requires that serial numbers be stamped on all firearms manufactured for sale in the United States since 1968.
The Stoeger Coach Gun is a double-barreled shotgun. It is marketed and distributed by Stoeger Industries in Accokeek, Maryland. It is manufactured by E.R. Amantino (Boito) in Veranópolis, Brazil.
Finding the Gun Model

Model numbers or names are often stamped or engraved on the barrel or slide, often along with the Make.

Stoeger is the official and sole importer and distributor of Beretta, Benelli, Franchi, Stoeger Airguns and Burris brands in Turkey. Stoeger branded models are manufactured in our local facility in Istanbul, Turkey.
Have it Back incorporates nearly all freely available serial numbers. Utilizing this database, you can verify before or after purchasing an item if said object has been marked as missing or stolen.
In 1968, the Gun Control Act (GCA) imposed numerous additional requirements in the arena of gun manufacture. As per the GCA, all firearms manufactured or imported into the United States are required to bear a serial number.
Barrels do not HAVE a serial number. Rifles and shotguns made before 1968 are not required to have a serial number ANYWHERE under US law. Serial numbers are mostly stamped into the receiver NOT the barrel.
A serial number (SN) is a number assigned to each individual product in order to distinguish that product from all others. The serial number is sometimes used only for warranty control and sometimes used for both warranty control and for version control.
The Stoeger Double Defense side-by-side and over and under 12-gauge and 20-gauge models are affordable in part because they are Made in Brazil.
Current Stoeger firearms have their manufacturing origins in countries such as Brazil, Italy, Turkey, and the United States.
Common shotgun gauges are 10-gauge, 12-gauge, 16-gauge, 20-gauge, and 28-gauge. The smaller the gauge number, the larger the shotgun bore.
ATF has noted cases where some licensed importers have adopted the same serial number for more than one firearm. These instances of duplication have generally occurred when firearms are received from more than one source.
The internal diameter of a 12 gauge shotgun barrel is therefore equal to the diameter of a lead ball weighing 1/12 pound, which happens to be . 729″ (Or in British: Bore.)
Stoeger AIRGUNS is the exclusive BERETTA HOLDING Brand in the field of compressed air shooting.
The 1st three numbers of your serial number will always provide your manufacture date. The 1st number is the YEAR of manufacture; the 2nd & 3rd numbers indicate the MONTH of manufacture.
Serial numbers, first required by the federal Gun Control Act of 1968, are intended to prevent illegal gun sales and make it easier to solve crimes by allowing individual guns to be traced.
Finding the Serial Number

That said, most Coach bags have a number on them. If you look inside a purse, you`ll usually see a “creed,” a small rectangular sewn-on leather patch. At the bottom will usually appear the word “No.,” (the abbreviation for “number,”) plus an embossed and possibly also inked number.

Sometimes, even bullet casings have serial numbers on them, and this has been a useful tool for tracking down criminals. There are many pros and cons to requiring serial numbers on ammunition, and both sides are worth exploring. Currently, there are no strict laws in America requiring ammunition to have serial numbers.
Revolvers – The official serial number is located on the bottom of the butt of the frame.
Many pistols, including Glocks, have their serial numbers on the barrels as well as the slides and frames. Only the frame needs to have the serial number. The other parts receive them for tracking and proof that the parts were matched to the gun (“all matching”).
Barrel stamp – A stamp pressed into the side of the barrel of a firearm that typically states the manufacturer, the gauge or caliber, and the chamber size.
Some European-made shotguns actually do this, but different countries have different rules. There are no currently US-made shotguns that fire both barrels at once.

I have a tippmann custom pro with a cyclone feeder. I recently got the SAW stock to put on it and encountered some problems many times after I reassembled the gun. I took it apart at least 5 times before I thought it was fixed but now ive encountered another problem. I believe it has to do with the cyclone feeder not responding or something is out of line in the gun. When I picked up the gun to shoot, no paint came out so I took off the CO2 and the barrel and saw that the paintball was 1/3 inside the gun. I also have a problem when im shooting it sometimes does really fast burst. Thank you
ANSWER : Hi there. Tippmann markers are super tough to make sure that they are put back together properly. The stupid clamshell design plus all the little, under engineered parts make it difficult to get it back together properly, especially after installing a stock. I was in the paintball industry for 10 years but have been out of it for a little bit, but i was one of the founding members of Uprising Nation and was a gunsmith/ salesman for PaintballOnline.com / Xtremes. Now with that said…I even had trouble with the tippmann 98’s…and I can rebuild an autococker with my eyes closed but can sometimes be stumped by the tippy’s bad design. It is really tough to diagnose an issue on these guns without looking at it. You may have the ball detent backwards,l missing a pin, sometimes the after market stocks on those are a little too large on the outside diameter preventing the internals from properly seating. The cycloce system may be off due to the valves not meing properly aligned or the connecting rod not being in all the way. Many times though it is incorrect installation of the detent or the deternt gets damages. That little orange peice of **** flap is a mance. I would start there.

It may seem like i am bashing your gun. Im not… Once they are put together properly they work great. Just DONT TAKE THEM APART. lol. If you buy the parts at a local gun shop they will install them for free.

lol I have 6 guns for sale 🙂

Have a good day

I attempted to put a car stock on my Tippmann 98 custom and took apart the gun but the stock didnt fit, now when i put it back together and shot it with my tank connected the gun wont stay cocked and little CO2 is coming out with each shot the sound is very low as opposed to my other Tipmann 98 custom where its loud and stays cocked. What do i do?
ANSWER : Check the O rings on the big metal striker, make sure that you have the spring on the back (where the stock would have went) in the right hole on the back plate. Make sure that your velocity is set to a reasonable level.

I have response trigger on my a5 and only shots one shot at a time when pointing straight. When i raise the gun to the air and shot it response trigger works. What could be the problem?
ANSWER : If you are using CO2 it may be affecting the system. With a gun down straight, you could draw liquid CO2 into the internals. A siphon tube can be installed in a CO2 tank to stop or manage this. If you have access to someone’s air tank, try using HPA (high pressure air aka nitrogen). If it fires fine with air you have deducted that the CO2 is to blame. Simple. Switch to air. It’s better for the gun anyway! Now if the air didnt change anything I would think a component of the response trigger system is to blame. I am not familiar with the response trigger( I use E-grips) but I would think that a part that may slide or move forward or bak when you lift the gun up would be to blame. Most local shops should be able to diagnose the problem. I did find an installation video by Tippmann on youtube.
Here is a link.

I have a Remington Automaster 878. I think it’s a 16 gauge. It is in excellent condition, but is missing the grip plate. Serial number is 53908L. Can this part be replaced? The gun is a great skeet gun. Very well balanced. Shot many rabbits and **** birds back in the late 50s and 60s.
ANSWER : I think your best bet would be numrich gun parts. They have a huge supply and chances are if they don’t have it then it’s going to very hard to find. You can contact them at www.gunparts.com and look at a blown up parts diagram to find what you need. They will tell you if they have it in stock and the price.
