With three scoring darts on a conventional dartboard the lowest possible score is 3 and the highest score is 180. There are some impossible scores like 179.
Thus 180 is the maximum score from a shot, and nine throws are the minimum necessary to win. Although many other combinations are possible, the traditional nine-dart finish requires a score of 60 (triple 20) with each of the first six throws: that is, with the first two shots of three.
Here is the result. 9 scores are not possible. 163, 166, 169, 172, 173, 175, 176, 178 and 179. Score with most combinations is 60 (619 ways to score 60 points).
Several players did score a 240 maximum during the event and Phil Taylor hit a 188 checkout (Q20-Q20-D14).
There are bogey numbers to contend with. Although 170 is the highest checkout possible in darts, some scores below the `Big Fish` can`t be hit in three-darts. The bogey numbers in question are 169, 168, 166, 165, 163, 162 and 159.
At an overall professional level, the PDC have 265 recorded nine-darters over 25 years in approximately 111,000 matches. A frequency of one every 419 matches. A comparison with all the snooker matches in the Sportradar snooker database gives a frequency of 1 in 247 matches and one in 1587 frames for the maximum break.
The first player to lower his/her score to 0 wins! The score needs to be exactly 0. If the remaining points are 12, you`ll be required to complete the game by hitting single 12, double 6, or triple 4!
With 3 darts you can score 180 (60 + 60 + 60) and 160 (60 + 60 + 40). There are 10 other scores between 160 and 180 which you can obtain with 3 darts.
A “double out” game means that you must hit a double that makes your score exactly zero to win the game. For example, if you have 32 points left, you must hit a double sixteen with your first scoring dart to win.
A good darts average for a non-professional dart player looking to climb the ranks should be between 60 and 80. A beginner player can expect to have a darts average of around 30. If a player is looking to reach competitive rankings, they should work towards achieving a darts average above 80 and into the 90s.
It`s somewhat easy to predict the outright winner of a darts match, once you become familiar with a player`s past performances or current form. Figuring out the exact score of the match is far more complicated and therefore comes with better value.
170 is the highest possible finish. 169, 168, 166, 165, 163, 162 and 159 are lower than 170, but cannot be checked with three darts.
First-round matches are first to 10 legs, with second-round matches the first to 11. The quarter-finals are first to 16 legs, with the semis first to 17 and the final first to 18.
“The reds are always in a different position and no two frames have ever been the same – it`s like a fingerprint. Because of that – and the fact there`s 36 shots to complete instead of just nine – all civilised people agree that the 147 break is by far the harder.”
No, because 100% tungsten is far too brittle. Your darts could break when they hit something. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
If a player reduces the score to 1 or goes below zero, the score is bust, that turn ends immediately and the score is returned to what it was at the start of that turn. e.g. if a player has 32 to go out and the first dart is a 16, the second is a 15, the player is bust and the score is returned to 32.
Darts may not have broken or cut off tips. No blow darts or magnetic darts are allowed. g.
With the expertise of some darts players, a nine darter is easily achievable after throwing a few accurate arrows and a game can therefore be won very quickly. So by starting on 501 instead of 500, it limits the chances of the action being over very quickly.
The object is to hit the numbers from 15-20 and the bulls-eye three times, each, which in return “closes” that number out. Once you have closed a number out and your opponent has not, you can now score on that number by hitting it again. The player or team with the highest points scored at the end of the game wins.
Ton 80 – Hitting three triple twenties. Ton – Score of 100 or more points in one round. Tops – Double 20s or 40 points. Triple Ring – The inner ring of the dart board which is worth triple the “fat” number.
Fallon Sherrock became the first woman to hit a nine-dart finish at a PDC event in her opening-round tie against Marco Verhofstad at the Winmau Challenge Tour Event Nine.
Players take turns throwing three darts at the board, trying to hit 15 through 20 and the bullseye. If you hit any other number, nothing happens. Cricket requires each person to “close out” numbers, meaning players have to score each number (15 through 20) and the bullseye three times before the game can end.
A player may not lunge or cross the front edge of the throw line while throwing a dart. The player`s front and back foot must remain behind the throw line until the final dart is thrown. If a Player has a medical need to utilize any assistive device, such device shall not cross the front edge of the throw line.
A player with good aim can finish 301 in 6 darts. As with classic 501, the 2 main focuses of the game are scoring high and hitting your doubles. Practicing these skills can improve your 301 game.

I have a TX500, never been used (just out of the box) and had to get an electrician to my home for this problem. It will start rolling but quits in a few seconds. The electrician believes that it is a problem in the sensor that rides at the belt. There is only one sensor in the pulley; he thinks that perhaps there should be two as there is a hole placement opposite the one that is in there. When the belt quits, it goes to a number 3 on the board which he thinks is the sensor as well. If he is correct, where do we get another magnet to place there? If he is not correct, please offer help. We did not get a owners manual in the box and surely could use one; where can we get one? Please help…thankyou
ANSWER : Hello,I believe the best thing to do at this point is to look for a way to get the manual of the device, this will give a full guide and better understanding on how to fix this problem.Check maualnguide.com to search for the manual of the device, the link provides almost all manuals to all device.Take care.

I have a 2001 Yamaha XL700Z Waverunner. The compression on both cylinders is about 120, it starts and runs fine – dry. Won’t quite idle, but I can start it and rev it up fine (for a short period, of course). However, as soon as it gets in the water, it will barely run – it will start and sputter and you cannot get it to run more than a few seconds or rev up. Take it back out, let it dry, starts & revs fine. It is not getting any water in the casing that I can tell, its almost as if water is getting something wet through the cooling system that I cannot see?
ANSWER : Try cleaning the carbs and the fuel lines, filter

When the dart hits it momentarily shows the score and then deletes the score with a verbal “miss”.
ANSWER : Buy a dartboard that has no electronics. On these devices the dart stays in the place it arrives at and you can read the numbers on the board to see what the score is. This is far cheaper than repairing or replacing your electronic dartboard.

How do I set up a dart board the correct way, with measurements etc? And where is the best place to put your dart board?
ANSWER : Id say the best place is where you have an open space to play, normally we have ours outside on the patio, but in winter we put it on the back of the hallway door, we use soft cork on the outsides of the board so when you throw miss, it lands in the cork, not the door. Have a look at this site:
Dart Board Part 1 as they have all the measurements you need with a picture as well explaining everything to the tee.
