The recommended tension range for the Babolat Pure Drive is 50-59 pounds (23-27 kg). Babolat recommends stringing this frame with their RPM Power and Excel strings. The Pure Drive is a higher powered frame and RPM Blast strings can help maximize topspin for greater control.
As the name implies, strung weight is the weight of a tennis racquet with tennis strings installed. This weight is measured by placing a strung racquet on a scale to calculate its weight. For reference, tennis strings will generally add roughly 15 -20 grams or a little over a half-ounce to a racquet`s static weight.
It is the standard 27 inches long with a balance point of 330 mm, making it slightly head light and easy to swing. The 71 stiffness rating is a bit less flexible than many racquets for club or recreational players. However, Babolat has implemented some new technologies for 2021 to help with comfort.
Typical tensions range from around 40-65lbs, but most players` tensions fall well within that range of extremes! Generally speaking, professional stringers tend to advise players to string their rackets as low as possible whilst still being able to maintain control of the ball.
One of the most important roles of string tension is its ability to provide power to a player`s shots. Higher string tension allows the strings to store more energy and transfer it to the ball upon impact. This can help players generate more power on their shots, especially when hitting a serve or a groundstroke.
The -weight of a string, for a letter , is the number of times that letter occurs in the string.
I like to take big swings at the ball, so I do need the forgiveness of a controlled racquet to keep the ball in, but this is a personal thing for me.” Hayden – “The Pure Drive feels slightly stiff toward the tip of the frame.
While the Pure Drive is not the first racket that springs to mind as a net conqueror, it offers a great balance of maneuverability with its 300 gram weight and stability. Its updated layup offers a closer feeling of connection with the ball while still offering plenty of put away power on volleys and overheads.
It was the racket which Kim Clijsters used it to win her four Grand Slam singles titles (including becoming the first mother since 1980 to win a major), and today the Pure Drive is the racket of choice for Fabio Fognini, Garbiñe Muguruza, Sofia Kenin and many others.
Strung weight is the weight in grams of a racket including its strings. The weight of a racket can be handle weight or head weight. When the weight is balanced more towards the head, the racket will feel heavier, and more difficult to control, when you swing it. That is what is referred to as swing weight.
Rafael Nadal uses a shaped polyester tennis string called Babolat RPM Blast in a thicker 1.35 mm (15L) gauge, strung with a tension of 55 lbs (24.95 kg). Rafa uses it because of its excellent spin and controlled response, opting for a thicker guage to enhance string bed stiffness.
A lower tension will result in more power because of a decrease in the stringbed stiffness, which impacts the trajectory or direction of the ball as it leaves your strings.
Thicker strings will put more tension on your guitar`s neck due to the extra tension needed to bring the thicker material up to pitch. They also can be the exact opposite of thinner strings, being harder to bend and giving a warmer, thicker tone.
String Gauge

As we learnt previously, the higher the gauge, the thicker the string. This is generally true for tension too. Typically you`ll find that the thicker the gauge of the string, the more tension it has when tuned to pitch.

tension is greatest at the bottom of the circular path. This is where the rope is most likely to break. It should make sense that the tension at the bottom is the greatest. Imagine watching the summer Olympics, specifically the gymnastics competitions.
In order to figure out the actual weight of drilling string in fluid, the air weight of drilling string times the buoyancy factor equal to actual weight in mud, called buoyed weight. Example: Determine the string weight in 13.0 ppg mud. Air weight of string is 350 klb.
What`s the diff? Simply, light strings have slightly less tension than mediums, and heavy strings have slightly more tension. Specifically, the strings have more or less mass, to require a few pounds more or less tension to create the specific pitch desired, which makes the strings feel “tighter” or “looser.”
A Tecnifibre man through and through, Medvedev uses the Tecnifibre T Fight XTC 305 racket which is around 355-360g strung.
Racket weight is a personal preference, but a head heavier racket does add more power if you have enough strength to control the racket. Head heavier rackets are not suited for all players. Lighter rackets are easier to control, but you give up some power if they are too light.
Adding lead tape to the head of your racket will make it more head heavy, whereas adding weight to the handle of the racket using lead tape, silicone, putty or a heavier grip will make the racket more headlight.
It weighs in at 11.8 oz strung, features a 326 swingweight, a 70 for its stiffness, and a bump up to a 326 swingweight.
Generally speaking, Babolat rackets tend to be more geared towards baseliners that love ripping heavy ground strokes, whereas Wilson rackets are generally better suited to aggressive players that like to attack the net.
being flat friendly. However, they have differences – the Babolat Pure Drive gives you more power yet less comfort due to vibrations from the frame. The Yonex Ezone is ideal for a defensive or counterpunching style of play, while the Babolat Pure Drive is great for aggressive attacking.
While Nadal started with the Pure Drive, he helped develop the Pure Aero and remains involved in Babolat`s product testing and innovation process. He likes the equipment for several reasons – it works perfectly for the heavy topspin with which he plays, and the power generated is exceptional.

Lifted weights don’t go back down properly – they snag
ANSWER : The leftovers you found go in the pole underneath the first weight (the one on top) so 1 weight is always locked, this weight needs to be attached so the bar returns to it original position.

Hi,
After a recent snowstorm, the auger stopped turning on my Troy Bilt Two-Stage Snow Thrower (Storm 1130). I inspected it and found that I broke two shear pins and the auger drive belt appeared to need replacement. So, I replaced the pins and then replaced the auger drive belt, following the instructions in my operator’s manual. Now, when I hold down the lever that should cause the auger to start spinning, I get white smoke coming from the machine and a smell of burning rubber. I’m assuming I installed the drive belt incorrectly, but for the life of me, can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. More significant snow is on the way tomorrow, so any quick answers/suggestions would be MOST appreciated!!!
ANSWER : The shear pins shear because the auger is stuck or the shaft it is on has seized bearings
work in that area

TC5000 and after extended use I smell burning and upon removing the belt cover and drive belt I felt of the motor on the motor side of the drive pulley and it was ”red-hot”, obviously the source of the smell of the burning. The motor spins freely without any rubbing noise. The drive pulley (motor side) and the tread pulley appear to be alligned. One curious thing is that the threaded motor output shaft is recessed about 3/8” from the outside edge of the pulley. Could it be the bearing on the pulley side of the motor? I am dumbfounded as to what the solution might be. Note that I could not enter the exact product as my model seemed to be invalid. My model is the TC5000. Thanks [email protected]
ANSWER : Just because it spins freely doesnt mean it cant have a shorted winding. Id send it back where it came from or at least replace the motor.
