How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?
We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :
Always wear flat soled shoes. Wear white or light coloured clothing, as appropriate, certainly in tournaments, and usually at weekends and for Club competitions, weather permitting.
Sources indicate that the all-white custom first started in 16th century France, where jeu de paume (an early version of tennis) was played. And yes, it was intended to give the sport an elite air, noting the expense of white outfits along with the additional costs of keeping those outfits clean.
Croquet “Whites” – It is a century old, worldwide tradition for croquet players to wear “Whites”. In keeping with that tradition, croquet players at the ECC must wear all white apparel “Whites” and flat-soled, lawn friendly shoes. Players not wearing all white apparel are not allowed to play.
As well as club-level games, there are regular world championships and international matches between croquet-playing countries. The sport has particularly strong followings in the UK, US, New Zealand, Australia and Egypt; many other countries also play.
A popular version of the Association game may be played by three or six players using six balls. Each side has two balls, blue and black, red and yellow and green and brown. The order of play is blue, red, green, black, yellow, brown.
Rules is an air-conditioned, non-smoking restaurant. Dress code: Whilst Jacket or tie are not required, we prefer smart dress.
“Croquet is a very old game, widely known and practised in France since the XI century under the name of `jeu de mail`. Borrowed by the British around 1300, it was modified over the centuries: the Scots made golf out of it, the Irish turned it into croquet.” Certainly not a flight of French fancy.
Secondary Colours (or 2nd colours) – white, pink, brown and green. White and pink always play against brown and green. These can be problematical for people with colour vision deficiency. Tertiary Colours – different manufacturers have produced sets.
association croquet, also called British Croquet, or English Croquet, lawn game in which players use wooden mallets to hit balls through a series of wire hoops, or wickets, with a central peg as the ultimate goal. It is played on an organized basis in the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa.
Croquet was invented shortly after 1066 for entertainment in the Royal Court.
Croquet provides non-strenuous exercise and an effective low-intensity workout. While the game can be played by both adults and children, it`s a sociable activity that is suitable for all ages, combing both mental and physical skills.
Roque — an American variation of croquet played on a hard, smooth surface. Gateball — a team sport played with a wooden mallet and wooden balls. Each player attempts to strike their allocated ball through all the gates and finally strike the goal pole.
The order of play follows the sequence of colors on the starting stake, with the top color being first. Note: This version of Croquet uses casual backyard rules. The official rules can be found online, but they are more detailed and complicated. (see diagram) while hitting the stakes at each end too.
The game sequence. Each turn is composed of five steps: To select one coloured peg, the player clicks one of the circles and chooses the desired colour from the table of colours. When a colour is selected (clicked), the circle is replaced by a peg of the desired colour.
2 COLOURING The hoops may be left unpainted or coloured white and, in addition, the crown of the first hoop may be coloured blue and that of the final hoop may be coloured red. It is permissible for the hoops to be coloured as required for Golf Croquet.
You must strike the ball with either end face of the mallet but with no other part. The ball must be struck cleanly. You cannot move hoops or the peg to enable a shot to be played. Putting your foot on your ball (or indeed touching any ball with your foot) is not allowed.

Pulley system “off track” inside main frame of 2005 boflex revolution
ANSWER : I had same problem. I fixed it by taking plastic sides off using a long phillips head screwdriver. Jay, you don’t have to take the sides off to fix your problem. The sides come off only to untangle and rewind cables on pulleys. Pull the cables all the way out. Have a helper pull out and keep holding out the tension knob This is shown at the bottom of page nine in the manual. With someone holding the tension knob out turn the large pully located beneith the tension knob CLOCKWISE! I screwed mine up by turning it counter-clockwise. This winds the handle to the top and if you start with all the cable pulled off the pully, the cable should then wind itself nicely back onto the pully. Once the handle is all the way up, with the round ball on the cable jammed up against the pully, then and only then let go of the tension knob and let it fall back into place. If the handle falls down a few inches repeat this proceedure but push lower pully a bit harder and try to turn tension knob, while it is pulled out, in the opposite direction and it will then click into place one notch tighter and should hold the black ball on the cable firmly against the pulley. Let me know if this was helpful.

Balls stuck in tubep
ANSWER : HelloIt sounds like there is a build up of material on either the ball throwing wheels (decreasing the overall velocity and causing the balls to stick in the tube) or a build up in the actual tube. From the manual, it recommends against using new tennis balls in the unit as this directly contributes to the debris build up on the ball throwing wheels. It is recommended to use slightly used balls as some of the waxy coating and ink on the ball would have been partially worn off. I would suggest using a spray cleaner (like Windex) to clean out the tube. IF you get any material on your cleaning cloth, continue cleaning and, if necessary, use a mild abrasive pad to help with the cleaning process. As for the ball throwing wheels, the manual suggests using a 40 to 60 grade sand paper and cleaning all of the wheels until they are slightly rough to the touch. The manual for your unit can be found here:http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&frm=1&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&ved=0CEAQFjAC&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nedtennis.org%2Ffiles%2Ftennis-tutor-prolite-user-manual.pdf&ei=9fJ9Upu2I9GIkQf144DAAg&usg=AFQjCNFSv4Co1N7iJRhQODi7rKYGDUzwbAI hope this helps you out!

Had entire spa light replaced 2 mos ago. Now color does not work. Light is “stuck” on white. Doesn’t seem that the color wheel is moving. Service that replaced light only gave me 30 day warranty on light. It was installed 12-13-2010. Any ideas on what to try?
ANSWER : You haven’t said what exact model you have so i can’t be sure but , in the models with rotating screens, the first part that fails is the coloured wheel – the heat deforms it , it bends out of shape and blocks the rotation. You will need to open the system and see if you can rotate the wheel by hand. If you can’t you need a new wheel. If the wheel can be moved by hand you will need to check if the motor gets powered when you try to change colours. If it gets powered but it doesn’t move then the motor is dead. If it doesn’t then the control board is faulty – replace the failed part.
