Update the drivers for your wireless network adapter. Drivers control the way your computer connects to the network, and old drivers may have bugs that cause your connection to drop. To update drivers, visit the manufacturer`s website for your network adapter, or check Windows Update for driver updates.
Weak Wi-Fi signals could be caused by the following: The router is too far away from your device. The router`s Wi-Fi transmit power is not strong enough. There might be intervening barriers (e.g., a large expanse of metal) blocking the Wi-Fi signals.
Your Acer laptop cannot connect to Wi-Fi if your wireless network adapter is missing or corrupted. You should therefore update your wireless network adapter driver to the latest version to prevent network problems. You can either manually or automatically update your wireless network adapter driver.
You might even be looking to upgrade so your laptop matches the Wi-Fi speed of your router or mesh system: the latest models can be significantly faster than older ones, and since most people keep their routers for a long time, that can can lead to quite a speed boost.
A 2.4 GHz connection travels farther at lower speeds, while 5 GHz frequencies provide faster speeds at shorter range. Your choice of 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz will depend on where and how you use your WiFi connection most.
You can boost your Wi-Fi signal by restarting the router and testing your internet speed. Upgrading your router and adding extenders or an antenna can also make your Wi-Fi signal stronger. Common Wi-Fi problems include the ISP, settings, router, and signal blockers.
1. Press the wireless LAN communication button or slide its switch to the “On” position. This button or switch is often located on the front edge of the Acer Aspire or just above the keyboard.
20MHz for the 2.4GHz band helps to avoid performance and reliability issues, especially near other Wi-Fi networks and 2.4GHz devices, including Bluetooth devices. Auto or all channel widths for 5GHz and 6GHz bands ensures the best performance and compatibility with all devices.
The health of your computer can affect your Internet connection. Spyware and viruses can definitely cause problems, but your Internet connection speed can also be affected by add-on programs, the amount of memory the computer has, hard disk space and condition, and the programs that are running.
Reset Wi-Fi network adapter to fix problems on Windows 11

Click on Network & internet. Click the Advanced network settings tab on the right side. Under the “More settings” section, click the Network Reset tab at the bottom of the page. Click the Reset now button to fix the Wi-Fi problems on Windows 11.

The fastest WiFi standard currently available is WiFi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax), and it offers speeds of up to 9,608 Mbps.
Upgrading your computer can bring you more speed and storage space at a fraction of the cost of a new computer, but you don`t want to put new components in an old system if it`s not going to deliver the speed increase you want.
Under ideal conditions, a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi router can support speeds up to 450 Mbps, some up to 600 Mbps. Under ideal conditions, a 5 GHz Wi-Fi router can support speeds up to 1300 Mbps.
Simultaneous dual-band routers are capable of receiving and transmitting on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies at the same time. This provides two independent and dedicated networks which allows more flexibility and bandwidth.
One such Wi-Fi booster app is called NetSpot, and we`ve selected it as the best Wi-Fi booster app available today because it successfully combines professional features with simplicity and usability, allowing anyone to quickly obtain highly accurate readings and use them to improve signal strength, eliminate issues …
Can someone access my Wi-Fi remotely? Yes, hackers can access your router and Wi-Fi remotely, especially if you have either of the following: Remote management is enabled in your router`s settings. A weak router password that can be easily guessed.
Wireless network protocols also have higher latency than wired networks, meaning they take longer to send and receive data. Wireless network protocols also have limited bandwidth, meaning they can only support a certain amount of data at a time.
Select the Network icon in the notification area, then select the > icon next to the Wi-Fi quick setting to see a list of available networks. Choose the network that you want to connect to, and then select Connect. Type the security key (often called the password). Follow additional instructions if there are any.
Sometimes you run into a Wi-Fi issue with one particular device. It`s probably just a momentary network issue, which is an easy fix. Try turning off the Wi-Fi on your device, then re-enabling it — or unplugging and replugging your Wi-Fi dongle. If that doesn`t work, restart the device and try again.
Your computer`s network adapter uses a network driver to maintain communications with the wireless router or hot-spot. If the driver is missing, corrupt, out of date or disabled, the system may be unable to connect to the internet. Network settings. Any number of misconfigured network settings can trigger this issue.
Missing drivers or drivers that are out of date are often the culprit for Windows 10 computers not being able to connect to WiFi. If you were unable connect after trying the above solutions, you can try to manually identify and install the correct drivers for your computer.
2.4 GHz can deliver a typical over-the-air max speed of up to 100 megabits per second (Mbps). 5 GHz can deliver up to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps). 6 GHz can deliver up to 2 Gbps.
A good internet speed is anywhere between 25 and 100 Mbps. (Mbps means Megabits per second, by the way.) Speeds of 25 Mbps allow up to 2 devices to stream, surf the web and check emails. 50 to 100 Mbps allow a few more people to stream in HD or even 4K, stream music, game, browse social media, and work from home.
What`s a good WiFi signal strength? The ideal WiFi signal strength is between -55 dBm and -70 dBm, depending on how close or far away from the access point you happen to be. -30 dBm = Excellent – Max achievable signal strength. Your device is most likely only a few feet from the AP to achieve this signal.

Spark plug wire boot grounding out on coil, 96 outback 2.5 automatic, just put new spark plug wires, new spark plugs, and new coil on. ran great for two weeks, now spark is jumping out of boot at coil on one wire, put old coil back on and still does it in the same spot. replaced wires again, and still does it in the same spot. seems to do it only under a load. Is my new spark plug on that cylinder bad? Does the coil need some insulation under it? It is the coil that sits right on top of the motor. Any ideas? thanks.
ANSWER : Sparks are high voltage, and will always follow the path of least resistance. If you can visibly see a spark (whether in a lighted area, or in the dark), that means either that a plug wire (or coil wire) is open (non conductive), or your have a carbon track on the surface where the spark can be seen, but most likely you have BOTH problems!

If you have an ohmmeter, check the resistance of each wire involved, particularly spark plug wires … which means you must be able to connect to both ends of each wire at the same, and hopefully, FLEX those wires, to be sure they don’t have a break inside that is intermittent (comes and goes)!

3 year old Toro Z4200 time cutter Z, 19 HP Kohler, engine runs great, new battery, new solenoid, with the seat sensor connected or by-passed, STILL WONT start off the key switch. Clicks at the kill relay. Would the kill relay be the problem?
Whats confusing is, both the green and blue posts on the solenoid have 14.01 volts when you turn the key to ‘start’ position. Did the same thing with the old solenoid, which is probably still good. I replaced it to eliminate that variable. It also ‘clicks’ at the fuel switch at the carburetor bowl, but that is only 1 lead (I assume a hot lead) so Im thinking that CANT be it.
Using the old hillybilly method, jumping across the 2 top posts on the solenoid, with the key in on position, it will start right up, run, drive and mow just fine.
So my best guess is this ‘KILL RELAY’ must be bad?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you !
ANSWER : These things are pre requisites for engine cranking: PTO/Blades are off/button pushed down, the steering arms are out/parked position, and you are in the seat. I think. Definitely the blades have to off.

Trying to install a new fluro light, pull out old light to find 3 reds and 3 blacks 1 copper earth. What do I do to connect it up the right way??? When I pulled the old Fluro light out the 3 Reds were joined together with a connector ,two blacks were joined to one end of light wire, the other to the other end of the light wire, earth wire to the light case, the third black wire was connected to the wire from the ballast? Does this all make sense
ANSWER : No, this does not make sense but I have seen strange wiring before. There is power going from the light someplace else. Just connect it back up exactly as the old light was connected. It worked before so it will work again. If it works it is wired correctly. Without being there to check which wire was the hot wire and which was neutral it is impossible for me to say what is what. Make sure you connect the ground wire to the light chassis.
