Some Polaris ATV and RANGER models are equipped with throttle control modes. These are controlled by the 3-Mode Throttle Control Switch, shown below. If equipped, the switch can be found to the left of the display on an ATV and on the center console on a RANGER.
Ranger utility side by sides are workhorse UTVs for hauling and towing – loved by farmers, ranchers, hunters and homeowners. Ranger UTVs feature on-demand all-wheel drive and 2,500 pounds of towing capacity.

The RANGER RZR S delivers unmatched performance using an 800 H.O. EFI Polaris twin engine that churns out a 63 MPH top speed for the serious adrenaline junkie.

ORVs have five gears: park (P), reverse (R), neutral (N), low gear (L) and high gear (H). To change gears, stop the vehicle and, with the engine idling and brakes applied, move the shift lever to the desired gear. Do not attempt to shift gears with engine speed above idle or while the vehicle is moving.
Most RANGER vehicles from model year 2015 until present feature a VIN stamp in the left rear wheel well.
The 180 degree thermostat will keep your Polaris Ranger cooling system working properly.
Roseau, Minnesota just south of the Canadian border is the birthplace of Polaris and where its snowmobile manufacturing and engineering processes are still happening. Inside the manufacturing plant, nearly 1,500 employees build snowmobiles, (and ATVs and MRZR vehicles).
Polaris was established in 1954 as Polaris Industries Inc. In 1968, the company was acquired by Textron, Inc. In 1981, W. Hall Wendel, Jr.

Along with the power boost, Polaris has added a RANGER 800 XP model with Polaris` exclusive electronic power steering with variable assist. The system allows for one-finger steering at low speeds and eliminates feedback at high speeds so the operator can work longer and enjoy the ride.
Remove the dipstick and fill the sump with two quarts (1.9 L) of the recommended oil.
Increasing Speed And Acceleration With A Clutch Kit

The best way to both increase the top speed of your Polaris Ranger as well as achieve quicker rates of acceleration is to install an aftermarket clutch kit.

Generally, 1500 hours on a side by side can be considered ok for a side by side if it has been well maintained and driven correctly. Use the 100/1000 hour/miles rule which is 100 hours and 1000 miles of use per year is a good rule of thumb for most side by sides.
Low gear is the primary driving range for the RANGER. High gear is intended for use on hard-packed surfaces with light loads. Whenever the vehicle is left unattended, always place the transmission in PARK. Always shift into low gear for any of the following conditions.
The center to center distance on our P90 clutch is 10” +/- 0.050”.
The VIN can be found stamped on the lower frame rail on the front LH side of the vehicle (see Figure 1-1). The engine model and serial number can be found on a decal applied to the side of the engine`s cylinder (see Figure 1-2).
The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of your Polaris ATV is a unique number used to identify your vehicle. It is stamped on the frame of your ATV.
As reliable as we all know the Polaris Ranger lineup is, one quick search online will net you a lot of people describing a small issue: engines overheating. Don`t worry, though, this is no reason to panic and sell your Ranger. Overheating can happen in every motorized vehicle, and your UTV is no exception.

Thinking strictly of ATV mileage range and hours, 500 or fewer hours is ideal. 5,000 and up is considered high miles for ATVs and UTVs. But don`t just go for the vehicle with the fewest miles. Consider the age of the vehicle.
On average, a flooded lead acid ATV battery will last you between two and three years. An AGM battery averages out to between three and five years. Lithium iron phosphate batteries outperform the other two types and are capable of lasting as long as eight to ten years.

I have a TX500, never been used (just out of the box) and had to get an electrician to my home for this problem. It will start rolling but quits in a few seconds. The electrician believes that it is a problem in the sensor that rides at the belt. There is only one sensor in the pulley; he thinks that perhaps there should be two as there is a hole placement opposite the one that is in there. When the belt quits, it goes to a number 3 on the board which he thinks is the sensor as well. If he is correct, where do we get another magnet to place there? If he is not correct, please offer help. We did not get a owners manual in the box and surely could use one; where can we get one? Please help…thankyou

Mar 12, 2010 – Could it be the check valve? I took it off and the flap appears to be working correctly. This well has been here a long time. Never given me any problems. I do have galvenized couplers on the discharge and intake sides. Old. Could these be leaking even though they show no sign of water? The discharge is able to hold 30 pounds easily overnight. I do not hear any vacuum in the intake when I take it off. Could the pipe to the well have a leak? I know I would have to insert a sleeve bnut I do not want to go through the hassle if I do not have to. I had put on a brand new pump from the hardware store that did the same thing so I think that would elliminate the pump as being the problem.
Mar 12, 2010 – I have a 3/4hp flotec convertible jet pump. It is able to hold 30lbs pressure on the discharge side as the primie easily for 24 hours. It is not able to pull water from the well whcih has been here for years. i disconnected it for the winter and rehooked it up. The galvanized couplers on the discharge and pump side are old but do not appear to be leakeing as I taped them well. The check valve seems to be functioning well as I took it off and the flap works correctly. The well is not pulling watrer. there does not appear to be a vacuum on the check vale when I losen it. could the check valve be bad? I am aware I might have to resleeve the well, but do not want to hassle with this if I do not have to. I want to eliminate everything else first. i put another brand new pump on it to see if it was that. That partiuclar pump which was the same thng did not work either.

Intex pool not compatible with Polaris vac-sweep cleaner
ANSWER : Polaris should have an adapter to make it fit, I’m surprised you didn’t get one, usually an adapter is put in a box to make it work with multiple pools, you can call them and order one or go to a local hardware store or Menards and make your own. They will have PVC fitting adapters. You should be able to find one that will work which you may need to permanently attach it on the one end and custom fit it, but if you have basic skills, then you shouldn’t have a problem with getting it to work. Let me know how this turns out.Benjamin
