Essex Police recommend you regularly change the code for your key safe. All key safes are supplied un-coded, and you set the code yourself. It`s as easy to change the code as it is to set it for the first time. The code can be changed as many times as you wish – contact the manufacturer if you need help.
Yes, you can. DIY is quick, simple, and cheap. To do this, pry apart the key fob and replace the coin battery inside with a new one.
Depending on the circumstances, resetting a safe`s combination can be relatively easy. First, the safe must be open in order to reset it. If the combination is resettable by the user (most are), the documentation that came with the safe will contain instructions on how to reset it.
8 Digit code – default code 5-5-5-5-5-5-5-5 [consistent with other LA GARD locks] • If the default code is not changed before Manager changes his or her code then the SMR option will be lost, unless hard reset of the lock is performed. Once set the SMR cannot be changed, unless hard reset.
If the battery runs out in the safe, it is as easy as possible to open it. Attach a new battery to the terminals on the lock panel, observing the polarity. Then enter the code combination and the device will open.
A: Unfortunately, you cannot reset this lock without knowing the current combination. You`ll likely need to purchase a new lock.
Most new safes come with an override code of 0000 or 9999.

I have The Protector model #6742Df electronic combination. It came with a key, I’m guessing will open it if the electronic key pad runs out of power. The key pad is not lit and my wife lock her key in the safe. Can I order another key?
Yes you can order a new key from the manufacture or if you see numbers and letters ( key code ) on the face of the lock cylinder you can call a locksmith and they should be able to cut you the key by that code as well. if there is no code on the lock then you can have a locksmith pick it open and also make a key. either way — a locksmith will be your fastest way to get the key.

I bought a new mossberg 590 a1 shot gun a month ago, I love the gun but its having a couple of problems, the first problem is that when shooting every once in a while i get sprayed in the face with exuast from shooting through the safety very scary! any ideas whats causing this? how to fix it? second is that some times the fireing pin sticks and the gun will not discharge a round? the third problem is that i have had feeding issues with gun where it will not realice a gound from the tube, ive taken a tip of a knife to the stuck round in the tube and it prys out with little effort, these problems dont happen every time i go shooting, just every once in a while, but they a happening more and more, im conserned cause the gun is brand new, and i wanna be safe while shooting, can you guys help me? any ideas/solutions? please help!!!!!!!
Personally, with that many problems, I’d call Mossberg and get a return authorization. None of these things should be happening, especially with a new gun.
My 150cc scooter starter motor running as soon as I connect the battery even while the ignition key is off…. I changed the relay but it didn’t help.. what is the problem?
The starter solenoid is somehow grounding out.
Something is touching the positive and negative on the solenoid.
Usually you touch the negative and positive on the solenoid and it will start to turn over however it won’t start.
I forgot my combination i tried putting a couple different numbers in after three trys the key pad locked and now when i type any numbers in it doesnt work. how do i unlock my safe?
After 3 trys the keypad does go into lockout mode but it should only last for about 15 minutes and then let you retry 3 more codes to try and open. if you still do not know what the combo is you can usually call the maker of the safe and with the serial number you might be able to get the original combo that the safe was set to when it was purchased ( this is a factory set combo ) — now if that does not work, your next step will be to call a safe tech ( locksmith ) to set up a auto dialer,, this takes about a full 24 hours to get the combo right. the safe tech can also drill a small hole behind the dial and manually remove the locking bolt. after the safe is opened the locksmith will fill the hole and reset the combo for you ( also replace the battery at this time too ).
Do I have to take the gun apart to get the battery in the gun???
and also before i was done with the gun my brother put the paintballs in the hopper but for some reason they were falling out of the barrel. Did I do something wrong???
No, you didn’t do anything wrong… Paintballs come in a variety of sizes. That difference is very hard to see with the naked eye, but your barrel knows what fits and what doesn’t. Players have a choice in barrels and ID-internal dimensions, so the balls are various sizes as well. You will have to sample a few brands and see what works best for you.Good luck!
