It feels like something is wrong with the seal for the air.
Experienced athletes share their insights in answering this question:
Would this be an air rifle or pistol. if it’a newer model 1990 or newer. it has a safety seal inside to keep it from being “over pumped” and becoming a dangerous weapon. what happens is the owner will disallow the safety precautions, probably 10 or 15 pumps and over pump the rifle, figuring it will be a stronger shot.
after doing this for awhile the gun will start to loose power because the safety seal is now worn out. could be that the gun is just ‘old and tired’ and can’t hold a compression any more.

If your the mechanical type, you can purchase replace parts and rebuild the gun.

How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

The LockNLube® grease guns are the world`s first leak-free grease guns. The LockNLube grease coupler will not leak when locked onto a grease fitting. When not in use, the Loop & Lock storage design keeps the coupler secured and clean.
Part of grease gun anatomy involves knowing the proper amount of pressure to apply. A high-pressured manually operated gun delivers from 2,000 to 15,000 psi. Bearing seals should be greased with no more than 500 psi of pressure.
Zerk fittings with pressure shut-off valves can be most helpful in reducing overpressurization of cavities. A 500 psi limit is desirable for the great majority of applications.
Moisture in the air will damage the grease gun. The compressor used must have a minimum volume of 1 CFM (0.026 cubic meter). Inlet air supply should have a pressure between 40 – 120 PSI (3–8 BAR). The recommended working pressure is 90 PSI (6 BAR).
Once a grease gun is no longer working properly or has become too dirty to clean, throw it away immediately. The longer it stays around the plant, the more likely it will be put back into service.
Insert the open end of the barrel into a container of grease. Fill the barrel by holding the open end of the barrel down into the container of grease and slowly drawing back on the plunger rod to fill the reservoir, pulling grease back into the barrel.
As anyone with a conventional T-handle grease gun knows, they are prone to some drips over time, particularly if stored upright in a hot area. To keep things neat, we invented the patented Grease Gun Barrel Cap, aka Grease Gundom.
If this is the case, the best tactic is to “feel” the grease into the bearing cavity until slight resistance or back pressure is felt against the trigger, or lever, signaling the bearing cavity is now full.
Vaseline Gun grease lubricates and protects all metal parts as well as locks and mechanisms. Perfect to be applied with any kind of airgun and for the lubrication of compression pistons. Please use a lint-free piece of cloth or cotton bud – depending on the application.
Remember to Lubricate. Once you`ve finished cleaning, it`s essential to lubricate your handgun. When you use solvents and other chemicals to remove dirt and grime, it can make the metal susceptible to rust. If you forget to re-apply oil and leave the solvent residue, there`s a chance parts of your gun will corrode.
The more common source of the problem is a blockage in the bushing of the joint. There are a few different ways to remedy the blockage. The first is to apply a heat source and immediately attach a grease gun to the fitting and push the old grease out after it has been warmed and thinned out.
A high-pressure grease gun delivers pressure up to 15,000 psi. Most bearing seals will rarely handle more than 500 psi.
Although pneumatic grease guns are portable, you have to carry the compressor with you, which can be large at times.
The base oil in a grease usually has a viscosity of between 20 and 500 mm2/s at 40°C. The application where the grease is to be used governs what base oil viscosity is required.
Grease guns can produce between 1 gram and 1.5 grams per shot which can result in significant over lubrication per point unless the output is known. Grease guns are also capable of producing 15,000 – 20,000psi per stroke.
There may be some that believe that oil is a better lubricant. However, when it comes to protection, grease is almost always the better choice. Because it`s much thicker, it remains on your firearm long after oil would have disappeared.
A number of different manufacturers offer grease guns (see Table 1 and contact information), and grease guns are manufactured for a number of different applications. The most common styles of grease guns include the lever, pistol-grip, hand-grip, air-powered and battery-powered styles.
The best practice to maintain a clean grease gun is to hang it horizontally inside a clean, fireproof cabinet with the plunger disengaged from the tube. Grease guns should be stored horizontally to avoid two potential problems.
In order to reduce the wear and tear of the moving parts, lubricants are required which form a pressure buffer between the parts and provide the required lubrication even in hot (or cold) conditions. Gun Lubricating Oil and Gun grease are used for lubrication and maintenance of firearms.
Lucas Oil Extreme Duty Gun Grease is recommended for all firearm types. It provides excellent lubrication and protection on shotguns, pistols and revolvers as well as full auto carbines, rifles and belt fed machine guns.
Once you`ve loaded the cartridge or bulk grease, attach the grease gun`s body to its head. Screw the head onto the body, but don`t fully tighten it. Give the plunger rod handle a twist so the spring can be released, then push this handle all the way into the grease gun.
In some older grease guns the grease was manually added to the gun from a grease drum, but most newer grease guns use a replaceable grease cartridge. Most lubricants designed for use with grease guns today are normally sold in cartridges.
Too much grease volume (overgreasing) in a bearing cavity will cause the rotating bearing elements to begin churning the grease, pushing it out of the way, resulting in energy loss and rising temperatures.
Overgreasing by applying too much grease to a bearing at one time can result in a seal failure and generate heat in the bearing housing. When too much grease is pumped into a bearing cavity, it eventually will become full. If there is no relief port on the housing, the grease will blow through the seals.

I have a tippmann custom pro with a cyclone feeder. I recently got the SAW stock to put on it and encountered some problems many times after I reassembled the gun. I took it apart at least 5 times before I thought it was fixed but now ive encountered another problem. I believe it has to do with the cyclone feeder not responding or something is out of line in the gun. When I picked up the gun to shoot, no paint came out so I took off the CO2 and the barrel and saw that the paintball was 1/3 inside the gun. I also have a problem when im shooting it sometimes does really fast burst. Thank you
ANSWER : Hi there. Tippmann markers are super tough to make sure that they are put back together properly. The stupid clamshell design plus all the little, under engineered parts make it difficult to get it back together properly, especially after installing a stock. I was in the paintball industry for 10 years but have been out of it for a little bit, but i was one of the founding members of Uprising Nation and was a gunsmith/ salesman for / Xtremes. Now with that said…I even had trouble with the tippmann 98’s…and I can rebuild an autococker with my eyes closed but can sometimes be stumped by the tippy’s bad design. It is really tough to diagnose an issue on these guns without looking at it. You may have the ball detent backwards,l missing a pin, sometimes the after market stocks on those are a little too large on the outside diameter preventing the internals from properly seating. The cycloce system may be off due to the valves not meing properly aligned or the connecting rod not being in all the way. Many times though it is incorrect installation of the detent or the deternt gets damages. That little orange peice of **** flap is a mance. I would start there.

It may seem like i am bashing your gun. Im not… Once they are put together properly they work great. Just DONT TAKE THEM APART. lol. If you buy the parts at a local gun shop they will install them for free.

lol I have 6 guns for sale 🙂

Have a good day

I have coleman component 443 camping stove.
While pumping, the input air by the pump leaks just after the pump.
I guess the cap of pump should be replaced.
I tried to buy the part in Vancouver, unfortunately, I couldn’t.
I will visit seattle next week, is there any repair center in seattle?
ANSWER : Yms3023000-The only official Coleman repair facility is in Wichita, KS. Try oiling the flexible gasket at the end of the pump. More often than not, a leaking pump is is due to the gasket drying out and not forming a proper seal.Hope this helps.Regards,DIYpro

My gun just beeps when i pull the trigger even when hooked up to hpa.battery is new.last time i used the gun just before it messed up i had it hooked to o2 and it would fire then beep ,i have a anti syphon tube installed to. the air shot out the asa instead of the reg when i took off the tank.usually gun holds air with tank off then you shoot it to get rid of stored air, this time it shot out the asa????
ANSWER : You have probably messed up your solenoid, did you fire the marker straight up with the o2? I would make sure that all of the board settings are back to factory default especially the dwell and reattempt with compressed air. If the marker is still not firing get your hands on a new solenoid for it.
