When an o-ring is exposed to high temperatures, swell, overly high compression or other major stresses, it can lose its elasticity and become unable to return to its original shape. This will cause the o-ring to develop flat surfaces on both sides of the cross-section, making it unable to properly seal.

The valve o ring (large) keeps falling out of its place
ANSWER : Whether this is a new or old problem, I’d make sure you have the right o-ring for that location. One actually from the Tippmann kit. If you have that (which it sounds like you do), that is definitely an odd problem. Can you swap that out with someone else that has an A-5? If not check out the local field or airsmith and see if they have one. I haven’t come across a valve having that problem but if it’s a defect then Tippmann may replace it free, or you may have to replace it either way. Again, a Tippmann certified airsmith can swap it out under warranty possibly if that’s the case, or a quick turnaround for a price otherwise.Good luck!

ANSWER : The velocity screw is on the left side, about 45 degrees facing down. Turn clockwise (into the marker) for the velocity to decrease. My release valve lets out all the co2 when i put a new cartridge in?

whenever i put a co2 cartridge in the gun all the gas comes out of the back of the release valve, how do i fix this?

I attempted to put a car stock on my Tippmann 98 custom and took apart the gun but the stock didnt fit, now when i put it back together and shot it with my tank connected the gun wont stay cocked and little CO2 is coming out with each shot the sound is very low as opposed to my other Tipmann 98 custom where its loud and stays cocked. What do i do?
ANSWER : Check the O rings on the big metal striker, make sure that you have the spring on the back (where the stock would have went) in the right hole on the back plate. Make sure that your velocity is set to a reasonable level.

Pulley system “off track” inside main frame of 2005 boflex revolution
ANSWER : I had same problem. I fixed it by taking plastic sides off using a long phillips head screwdriver. Jay, you don’t have to take the sides off to fix your problem. The sides come off only to untangle and rewind cables on pulleys. Pull the cables all the way out. Have a helper pull out and keep holding out the tension knob This is shown at the bottom of page nine in the manual. With someone holding the tension knob out turn the large pully located beneith the tension knob CLOCKWISE! I screwed mine up by turning it counter-clockwise. This winds the handle to the top and if you start with all the cable pulled off the pully, the cable should then wind itself nicely back onto the pully. Once the handle is all the way up, with the round ball on the cable jammed up against the pully, then and only then let go of the tension knob and let it fall back into place. If the handle falls down a few inches repeat this proceedure but push lower pully a bit harder and try to turn tension knob, while it is pulled out, in the opposite direction and it will then click into place one notch tighter and should hold the black ball on the cable firmly against the pulley.
