Follow these steps to check which apps are using your camera on Windows 11. Open the Start menu and click the gear-shaped icon to launch the Settings app. Switch to the Privacy & security tab. Under App permissions, click on Camera.

I am using a Fujifilm xD-Picture card H512mb in my Fujifilm s5500 camera. I’ve used this same card before in the same camera, but thother day took the card out and downloaded its photos direct on my laptop. I now find that on re-inserting the card in the camera , the camera screen say “card not initialised” and it won’t work. How do I remedy this, please?
ANSWER : The message is trying to tell you that you need to format the card. The owners manual will have “how to format” information for your camera.If you cannot format the card it could be the card or the camera. Hi I have a fujifilm f470 finepix camera. One

Is it just the live view from the lens that you can’t see ( totally blank screen), or are the icons visible?
If it still shows the icons but no live view then I suspect the shutter mechanism is stuck over the lens inside the camera.
Have a look at the lens and see if you can see the inner lens? You may have to adjust the zoom to bring the inner lens up to the end of the lens barrel.
If it is stuck then it will require removing and inspecting / cleaning.

I have a Finepix F60 fd camera. I have installed the CD that came with the camera but I cannot download the pictures to my computer. Finepix viewer is installed on my computer but when I connect the camera the option to download the photos does not come up
ANSWER : Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). Flash on camera has stopped working
ANSWER : Have you checked the flash settings, quite often the flash accidently gets turned off, on most cameras the buttton looks like a lightning bolt. Toggle through the settings if it is not on a button on the camera.

I bought a Fujifilm Finepix A825 digital camera from my local Morrisons supermarket about 1 month ago as a Christmas present however, the camera seems to be malfunctioning. It turns on and will let me press buttons to scroll through the menu’s however 99 out of 100 times, if i press a confirmation button or try to take a picture it just turns itself off with the zoom lens still out. I am not sure what the problem is as it does let me take a picture every once in a while. Please help!

I receive a ‘write error’ message after I take a photo
ANSWER : There should be a little switch on your memory card when you pull it out. Slide the switch the opposite direction. The switch is very small and usually on one of the edges/sides. This is similar to how floppy disks had a write protection on them.
