Cleaning your bike trailer

Use only mild soap and water for the best results. Rinse off the wheels and the Safe Connection point to remove any dirt. Lightly scrub the fabric to remove any spots or stains as necessary. The seat padding can be fully removed from the trailer for cleaning.

They can be cleaned by lightly scrubbing with a brush and a mild environmentally friendly detergent. Do not use bleach! If the fabric starts to tear, patch it. We cannot replace trailer fabric, so take care of it and keep your trailer on the road and trails for years!
How do I clean my Burley trailer? Most Burley products are spot-clean only with a mild detergent (no bleach). We do not recommend putting any fabric parts of trailers in a washing machine. Some accessories are machine washable as noted on the product tag.
For this reason, good old soap and water is perfectly well-suited for cleaning most RVs. All you need to get started is a bucket that mixes mild detergent like dish soap with water. Use a brush with a telescoping handle to apply the mixture to one section at a time.
Vinegar is one of the best canvas cleaners for pop up campers. Mix a bucket full of two parts water and one part vinegar. Dip a scrub brush into the vinegar solution and scrub the mildew off the canvas. Let the canvas dry in the sun without rinsing off the vinegar.
First, spray it with water to remove dust. Next, using an abundant amount of clean water and a car-washing mitt or sponge, wash your RV from top to bottom. You can also use a mild car-washing soap. Be sure to rinse thoroughly and wipe dry with a soft cloth.
Use a nonabrasive, all-purpose cleaner. Rinse with clean water and dry with a clean, soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleanser that may scratch the plastic. Use a tub/tile/sink cleaner; nonabrasive, all-purpose cleaner; or a paste of baking soda and water.
Sand the plastic with moistened 400-grit sandpaper to polish the plastic. Dip fine sandpaper in water and run the sandpaper evenly over the plastic. Although 400-grit sandpaper won`t smooth out scratches, it polishes the plastic to give your bike a shine.
I recommend washing your bags with warm water and Dr. Bronners soap. Use a sponge or a soft brush to remove dirt more efficiently and rinse thoroughly. Open your bag and let it air dry.
Lather up some soap and rub it over the outside of your kit before stripping it off and lathering the inside paying particular attention to the pad inside your shorts. Wash your body and let the soap you have used rinse through your garments and then give them an extra good rinse with the showerhead.

I have a Health Stream recumbent exercise bike – it is now making a very loud noise and appears to be scraping a bit. I think it is ~8-10 years old and has never been serviced. Do these bikes need to be oiled and if so where on the bike? I am a 60 yo partially disabled man who needs to exercise on such a bike – it is in good condition and has been used reguarly for years. Are you able to provide me with advice? I live in Australia.
ANSWER : Problem about to be overcome – made contact with local person. Thank you – no further action required.

I just bought an InStepĀ® Joyrider Bicycle Trailer and the photo’s are not very good. When attached is the bike trailer hitch supposed to attach perpedicular to the bike and the spring bends to 90 deg. when pulled. It seems odd to me, almost like there should be another part.
ANSWER : The hitch part that fastens to your bike rear axle has 3 pieces, a dimpled washer which goes on first then the hitch plate and a pin that holds the trailer to the hitch. Take off the axle nut (15 mm wrench) install the dimpled washer it goes on with the 90 deg tang facing the bike wheel and in the channel so it can’t rotate. Then put the hitch plate on, mine faced down for the correct height, line up the dimpled washer with the bumps on the hitch plate to locate it properly. reinstall the wheel nut and be sure to align the wheel so it runs straight and true (I oopsed on this the first time) then attach the trailer, it is a 90 deg hook-up then you simply put the the pin in and you are good to go. The unique hook-up makes it so smooth and dampened that you don’t even know it’s behind you. We really love ours!

Need the wire diagram to rewire my Ariens lawnmover to bypass the safety switch. It is Ariens GT-19 model # 931026 Serial # 001463.
Can you help? It is an old Ariens mower but still runs good but now I need to bypass the safety switch in order to run it any longer. The local Ariens dealer said I need to go through the internet and get the wire diagram as they cannot give it to me directly. They told me I needed the wire diagram and the part involved in bypassing the safety switch. Hope this is all the information you need to help me.

Thank you. Roger Fielitz

ANSWER : Here is owner manual:http://apache.ariens.com/manuals/030305C.pdfusually the switch is behind the ignition, sometimes at the N position of gearshift, just look for a switch with one wire coming in & one going out (usually the same color); disconnect the two wires & jumper them together to bypass the switch. Looks like yours has one under the seat.
