Camping toilets: how to use them
Before using it, open the flush valve. This is usually a lever at the bottom of the toilet. Then flush the toilet with the flush button when you`re done. It is best to keep the lid closed to avoid excessive dispersion of the chemicals it contains.
And, since it carries its own fresh water for flushing, you needn`t worry about using it where water is scarce. Depending on the model, a Porta Potti will average between 27-62 fresh-water flushes between emptyings.
Emptying the Portable Toilet
The tank should be emptied at a proper dump point or in a toilet on a sewerage system. Never empty into a toilet on a septic system as the chemicals can kill the bacteria that makes the septic system work.
Ordinary toilet paper can clog up a Cassette or Porta Potti waste holding tank. Thetford Aqua-Soft is a specially developed super-soft toilet paper that quickly dissolves in your waste-holding tank. This prevents clogging and makes the waste-holding tank easier to empty.
The average lifespan of a porta potty is around 10 years, and a lot can happen in that decade. There are many types of portable toilets and they`ve come a long way since the first porta potty models.
The Bare Minimum. To keep your toilet clean and to stop it from overflowing, one of the best portable toilet rental tips is to empty it at least once a week if no more than ten people use it. This is the longest you should wait before emptying it, as anything longer than this can be risky as waste builds up.
We recommend emptying your toilet cassette every 1 to 2 days. This must only be done at an authorized dump station which are found in most holiday parks.
If no level indication light lights up, your toilet has a 1-level indication. It will only indicate a full tank. If a green level indication light immediately lights up, your toilet has a 3-level indication. It will indicate empty, half full and full.
Emptying is only allowed at an authorised waste dump. To vent the flush-water tank the water fill cap contains a small vent hole. Fresh water can come through when lifting or positioning the toilet under an angle.

Mar 12, 2010 – Could it be the check valve? I took it off and the flap appears to be working correctly. This well has been here a long time. Never given me any problems. I do have galvenized couplers on the discharge and intake sides. Old. Could these be leaking even though they show no sign of water? The discharge is able to hold 30 pounds easily overnight. I do not hear any vacuum in the intake when I take it off. Could the pipe to the well have a leak? I know I would have to insert a sleeve bnut I do not want to go through the hassle if I do not have to. I had put on a brand new pump from the hardware store that did the same thing so I think that would elliminate the pump as being the problem.
Mar 12, 2010 – I have a 3/4hp flotec convertible jet pump. It is able to hold 30lbs pressure on the discharge side as the primie easily for 24 hours. It is not able to pull water from the well whcih has been here for years. i disconnected it for the winter and rehooked it up. The galvanized couplers on the discharge and pump side are old but do not appear to be leakeing as I taped them well. The check valve seems to be functioning well as I took it off and the flap works correctly. The well is not pulling watrer. there does not appear to be a vacuum on the check vale when I losen it. could the check valve be bad? I am aware I might have to resleeve the well, but do not want to hassle with this if I do not have to. I want to eliminate everything else first. i put another brand new pump on it to see if it was that. That partiuclar pump which was the same thng did not work either.

ANSWER : Your well has gone dry it seems. It has happened to my before. At first the new pump I purchased that did not pump I took back for exchange and still no water. I finally gave in and called the well experts and I was told the well was dried up

I have coleman component 443 camping stove.
While pumping, the input air by the pump leaks just after the pump.
I guess the cap of pump should be replaced.
I tried to buy the part in Vancouver, unfortunately, I couldn’t.

ANSWER : Yms3023000-The only official Coleman repair facility is in Wichita, KS. Try oiling the flexible gasket at the end of the pump. More often than not, a leaking pump is is due to the gasket drying out and not forming a proper seal.Hope this helps.Regards,DIYpro

I have a Intex 18×4 above ground pool with original pump that takes type A filter cartridges. Did not set up last year and cannot find manual. The pump is leaking around the top after putting new filter in. I know I am not remembering everything I’m supposed to do with hose connecting into pump and pool when you change filters or flush pump. Can you help me?

How to replace outer tie rod ends on a 1998 Buick LeSabre Limited
ANSWER : A set of wrenches, a beer and some gloves. First jack the car up, remove the tire and wheel,pull the cotter pin out of the bolt, remove the castle nut( nut with notches cut out), measure the old rod end with the new, mark the threads on the tie rod to have good judgment of where the other end was, place wrench on the flats in the spot on the rod,the other on the end, turn in opposite directions and turn only the rod end to remove,now the mark on the rod you have left is where you tighten the new one to if the parts are equally the same length,if not adjust it accordingly, screw the nut back on tight and replace the pin. Now go get it aligned.
