I was lubing my reel when i lost the spring that held tension on the anti-reverse clutch causing it to not work. the a replacement spring to buy alone costs close to what the reel does. i took apart an old tape player and found a similar spring and popped it in and works again better than before. the reel is not hard to take apart and figure out what the problem is. shakespeare makes very simple reels that are, in my opinion, reliable. describe more of your problem. what exactly is it that no longer works? is it the switch or the anti-reversing clutch itself?hope this helps
Experienced athletes share their insights in answering this question:
If it is a multiplier reel most of the lever tension springs are the same. they can be bought from QUENTIN MILLMAN in portsmouth. they have a mail order branch and can be located on line.i have tried making my own springs but the dog leg has to be at the right angle.best buy the right one for a few pounds. regards barry.

How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

The anti-reverse mechanism is usually internal to the bearing on the handle of the reel. If they get dirty or dry or both the anti-reverse will not work consistently. Clean it and grease it and you should be good to go.
ANTI-REVERSE SWITCH

This feature is typically located at the bottom of the reel and can be a helpful tool when fighting fish. This switch allows you to backreel, or reel in reverse, rather than relying on your drag system for line tension.

A typical infinite anti-reverse bearing (roller clutch bearing) uses springs that compress and allow the rollers to move freely in the normal direction. The springs also align and help position the rollers so they will lock into the tapered edges on its cage (retainer), if rotated in the reverse direction.
Anti-Reverse on a spinning reel is a feature that prevents the reel from turning backwards and engages the drag. Some reels come with an Anti Reverse switch that allows the angler to choose whether it is engaged or not. This feature has helped people “back-reel” rather than allowing the drag to fight the fish.
The majority of bearing failures occur because of improper lubrication. Lubrication failure can occur if the wrong lubricant is used, if not enough lubricant is applied, or if the bearing has been exposed to excessive temperatures that have caused the lubricant to degrade.
The Sahara FJ features a screw-in handle and an anti-reverse switch, providing anglers with dependable performance while pursuing their next trophy catch.
An anti-reverse fly reel has a reel handle that does not move when a hooked fish makes a run in the water. You may have often experienced this while playing a bigger gamefish.
: a bearing in surveying resulting from a backsight.
The back bearing may be calculated by adding or subtracting 180° from the forward bearing. The result must fall between 0° and 360°, so if the forward bearing is less than 180°, add 180° to it, or if it`s greater than 180°, subtract 180°.
The Tibor Billy Pate Anti-Reverse Series Fly Fishing Reels feature a classic anti-reverse design, one-piece spool and frame that are precision-machined from bar stock aluminum alloy, a large diameter main drag, and double anti-reverse dogs for positive fail-safe engagement.
You can upload these types of videos in both vertical and horizontal formats. Of course, the ideal is to do it vertically, since it occupies the entire screen of the mobile device.
You aren`t using vertical videos in your Reels

They are considered native-type of videos for social media consumption and, therefore, are prioritized by Instagram. So, if you`re creating Reels using horizontal videos, the chances are high that Instagram is penalizing you for the choice of the format of your video.

Shimano makes some of the very best reels in the entire world. It is only natural that they rods would have the same level of quality and excellence. Their spinning and casting rods especially are ranked highly among bass and walleye anglers. Keep reading if you want to know more about these rods.
Utilizing the Propulsion Line Management system for longer casts and reduced backlash, the Sienna RD also boasts Super Stopper II technology for instant anti-reverse with no back-play.
Typical failure symptoms of anti-friction bearings include corrosion, seizing, race flaking, retainer failure, electrical erosion, brinelling and fretting: Corrosion is typically a result of improper storage, poor maintenance or insufficient rust inhibitor.

Hello, I have a Horizon Fitness Quantum II treadmill. The incline doesn’t adjust. I have found limited troubleshooting information about this problem on their website. It told me to check the electrical harness connection, which I did (unplugged and reseated). It also said “make sure there are no lights lite on the circuit board – I DO have lights lit.

Do you have a repair manual, or information about the problem with the incline, or how I should interpret the problem indicated by the red lights on the board which are on?

Thanks,
Darrell

I have a tippmann custom pro with a cyclone feeder. I recently got the SAW stock to put on it and encountered some problems many times after I reassembled the gun. I took it apart at least 5 times before I thought it was fixed but now ive encountered another problem. I believe it has to do with the cyclone feeder not responding or something is out of line in the gun. When I picked up the gun to shoot, no paint came out so I took off the CO2 and the barrel and saw that the paintball was 1/3 inside the gun. I also have a problem when im shooting it sometimes does really fast burst. Thank you
ANSWER : Hi there. Tippmann markers are super tough to make sure that they are put back together properly. The stupid clamshell design plus all the little, under engineered parts make it difficult to get it back together properly, especially after installing a stock. I was in the paintball industry for 10 years but have been out of it for a little bit, but i was one of the founding members of Uprising Nation and was a gunsmith/ salesman for PaintballOnline.com / Xtremes. Now with that said…I even had trouble with the tippmann 98’s…and I can rebuild an autococker with my eyes closed but can sometimes be stumped by the tippy’s bad design. It is really tough to diagnose an issue on these guns without looking at it. You may have the ball detent backwards,l missing a pin, sometimes the after market stocks on those are a little too large on the outside diameter preventing the internals from properly seating. The cycloce system may be off due to the valves not meing properly aligned or the connecting rod not being in all the way. Many times though it is incorrect installation of the detent or the deternt gets damages. That little orange peice of **** flap is a mance. I would start there.

It may seem like i am bashing your gun. Im not… Once they are put together properly they work great. Just DONT TAKE THEM APART. lol. If you buy the parts at a local gun shop they will install them for free.

lol I have 6 guns for sale 🙂

Have a good day

I have a problem with my machine, on occasion, not recognizing when I’m starting, and the display will not start. I have to remove one of the batteries or it will stay on forever. When it starts up, it works fine, no complaints whatsoever. But lately, I’ve not been able to use it due to the start-up problem. I put the batteries in, the display comes on, but it will not start up when I begin motion. The control buttons will not work, either. Please inform me what it is I can do to fix this problem. Thank You
ANSWER : Troubleshooting on this model is very limited to anyone but the vendor. I would recommend sharing the symptoms with a representative from fitnessquest here.
Good luck

I have a 1991 Yamaha 250 outboard motor. I can connect the harness from the control box to the motor harness, put the motor in nuetral, and the motor will turn over but it will not start. I can disconnect the conrol box from the motor, jump it direct from the battery, and it will start. What might be the problem? I even bought a new control box but still have the same problem.

Thank you,
Dean Youngstrand

ANSWER : I would check for power coming off of the ignition switch. The ignition switch is what sends power to the control box to the coil. You can also check for power on your coil. But I would bet that it is your ignition switch.
