Digger Metal Detector

Hi, I’ve just dug (excuse the pun!) my Precision Gold metal detector out of the attic and can’t find the instruction manual on how to set it up.

Anyone have a copy they could upload or know where I could download one from? The Maplin link posted on a previous post doesn’t seem to work :-(.

Many thanks,

Ben

How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

Unfortunately, it`s not a foolproof method. The size, shape, and distance of a target (along with other environmental variables) affect the accuracy of the detector`s time constant calculation. To compensate, gold detectors can be re-calibrated on-the-fly to search for a broader or narrower range of time constants.
Like the number chart you`ve seen earlier, the tone of beeping of your metal detector follows a similar pattern. Low pitches usually indicate low-value metals, while high pitches indicate high-value metals like silver and gold.
Since gold has rather low conductivity, metal detectors that use higher frequencies will spot gold better than low-frequency detectors. For this reason, most metal detectors for gold have variable frequencies or are tuned for frequencies above 14 kHz.
The Magnet Test

However, some of the base metals that can be mixed with gold are also non-magnetic so you can get a false read. The test isn`t foolproof so it`s a good idea to do this in conjunction with another more accurate testing method.

Objects of 30 * 30cm can be detected in a range of 5 to 8 meters, and objects of this sizes can be detected in a range of 20 meters if they have been buried for a long time. With larger objects, with deeper detection depth.
Gold can be found at 14 kHz and higher. At frequencies between 3 kHz and 7 kHz, silver, copper, and brass can be found. At frequencies between 4 kHz and 8 kHz, nickel and aluminum are most readily found.
Gold detectors can be calibrated to specifically search for targets that fall within that “middle” range. Unfortunately, it`s not a foolproof method. The size, shape, and distance of a target (along with other environmental variables) affect the accuracy of the detector`s time constant calculation.
Many detectors can chatter from EMI when set to the maximum sensitivity or gain levels. Especially if you live in the city around large power lines and multiple WiFi and cellular signals bouncing around the area. Less is more for the first time user. Set it to 7 of 10 or (70 of 100) as a good starting point.
Jewellery will only set off metal detectors if it`s made from magnetic metals. This means that you don`t need to remove good-quality rings, necklaces, bracelets and piercings if they`re made from silver, gold or platinum.
But it is one of the best metals to set off a metal detector. So, if a gold nugget has a large amount of iron near it, the iron will mask its signal. As a result, the metal detector will not detect the gold buried underground. Moreover, the materials that block gold detectors include iron, as mentioned.
If it`s real gold it will not stick to the magnet. (Fun fact: Real gold is not magnetic.) Fake gold, on the other hand, will stick to the magnet.
Heat your gold jewelry with the lighter.

Fake gold will get darker, while pure gold will do the opposite: it will get brighter the hotter it gets. The brighter your jewelry gets, you can rest assured you have real gold.

Most metal detectors can detect coins at an average maximum depth of 10 to 16 inches. Metal detectors transmit radio frequency signals from the search coil to locate the targets from the ground`s surface to a depth of over 20 feet for large deep treasures.
Are you curious about metal detecting, and wondering how deep a metal detector can go? Most metal detectors can detect objects about 4-8ʺ (10 – 20 cm) deep. In ideal conditions, a mid-range metal detector can reach 12-18ʺ (30-45 cm) underground. Some specialized detectors can go as deep as 65` (20 m).
Jewellery will only set off metal detectors if it`s made from magnetic metals. This means that you don`t need to remove good-quality rings, necklaces, bracelets and piercings if they`re made from silver, gold or platinum.
Do metal detector apps actually work? In short, yes, they work. Many Android apps come equipped with a magnetometer. It`s mostly used for stuff like GPS or part of the compass functionality.
What do Real Treasure Hunters Use? Long Range metal detectors can`t find gold like this. These were all found with trusted, reliable, well-respected Fisher and Minelab metal detectors. To put it simply, these so-called long range metal detectors are fake.

I have a multifunction sports watch that i bought from Big W, (no brand name)

By accident i set the watch to 24 hour time, originally it was set to 12 hour time, how do i set it back? ive tried every button combo including the button combo i used when i accidently set it on 24 hour time, the instructions only say how to set the time and date, it doesnt say how to toggle between 12 hour and 24 hour time, is there a generic way to toggle it on sparts watches? btw, holding the mode button in does nothing on my watch, no matter how long i hold it in for

ANSWER : Hi. How may buttons do you have, 3 or 4 buttons?if you have the 4 buttons, try this:You need to go through the time and date settings again. The 24 and 12hr format select is at the end of time/date adjustment. To set the time and date:-press the top-left button then right-top button to set the seconds, press bottom-left button to set hour then press top-right button to adjust hour, press bottom-left button to set the minute then press top-right button to adjust minute. To set date, press the bottom-left button then press top-right button to adjust month, press bottom-left button then top-right button to adjust day and finally press bottom-left button to set the time format then press top-right button to select 12hour format. Press top-left button when done.Since you have a generic sports watch, it is hard to write specific instructions to set the time format. If your watch has different ways of setting the time, just remember that the 12/24hour format is usually at the end of time and date adjustment.Let me know if you have questions. Good luck.
