I’m having a problem with my pop-up camper lights. When I turn on the running lights on the tow vehicle, all lights on the camper turn on brightly, brakes, turn signals, the whole nine yards. I tried two different tow vehicles with the same result. I just replaced the wire from the tow-vehicle to the camper, so it shouldn’t be that.
Experienced athletes share their insights in answering this question:
FIRST, make sure white wire of camper is grounded to the frame of tow-vehicle. Temporarily use a jumper-cable frame-to-frame. Then apply 12volts individually to each of the three circuits to the camper. Assuming a 4-wire flat connector — brown wire is for marker lamps; yellow is left brake/turn; green is right brake/turn

If your trailer`s lights aren`t working, there might be an issue with the fuse, either because it is too weak or because it has been damaged. Check your truck fuse box for any blown fuses associated with your trailer. You may also have fuses at your trailer as well, so check those as well.
But when always-on lights, your headlights, are turned on the total current draw may be more than can be passed by the harness due to the weak ground connection. The easiest potential fix is to make sure the harness ground wire is tightly affixed to a clean bare-metal surface that is free of dirt, grease and corrosion.
The most likely cause for the incorrect behavior of your trailer lights, where activating one turn signal causes all trailer lights to blink, is an insufficient ground (or a short to ground) on either the vehicle or the trailer.
Helpful Expert Reply: Yes, trailer running lights and parking lights are the same circuit.
Most trailers have three circuits that you`ll connect to your vehicle. One operates the taillights, one runs the left brake light and the last one runs the right brake light. When it`s time to turn, your brake lights will flash to let everyone know which way you`re going.
It could be a somewhat weak ground on the trailer that allows the lights to work with one vehicle but not with another. What you can try doing is running a ground wire from each of the light assemblies back to the main ground of the trailer.
Flickering or blinking lights are usually caused by one of the following: Problem with the bulb (not in tight enough, lightbulbs are incompatible with your dimmers) Loose light plug. Faulty switch or dimmer.
There`s a simple solution to this issue: installation of a load resistor at each affected LED light. Load resistors mimic the electrical signature of incandescent lights to let the trailer wiring work as intended.
The difference

Conclusion: Parking lights should only be used when your car is parked in a dark street. Dipped beams must be used when visibility is poor, both in the dark and during the day, for example, when it is raining. Daytime running lights serve to make your vehicle more visible during the day.

Are sidelights and parking lights the same thing? Parking lights are sometimes also referred to as sidelights. They are usually located at the front of your car, within the same cluster of lighting as your main and dipped headlights.
Generally, all trailers must have a red tail light on the rear left side and a red tail light on the rear right side. Both these lights should be visible from at least 500 feet away.
“As you are likely aware, the three marker lamps at the top-rear of the trailer, mounted around the center line of the vehicle, are called `identification lights. ` Their purpose is to alert following drivers that the vehicle equipped with these lights is wider than 80 inches.
Many trailer problems are due to a poor grounding connection, which is usually the white wire coming out of the trailer plug. If the ground is poor, lights may work intermittently or not at all. Even if the wiring to the plug is adequate, make sure that the ground connections to the trailer frame are good.
Both Trailer Turn Signals Blink at the Same Time This is normally related to a bad ground connection somewhere. Make sure the main trailer connector ground and the grounds for each of the lights are all connected to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces.

To rule out the simplest solution, however, check the trailer tail light bulbs and replace if they appear burnt out. Next, ensure that your trailer cord is seated firmly in the socket. Then, take a close look at the connectors inside both the plug and socket. Poor plug contact may cause trailer tail lights not working.
If you have a malfunctioning tail light, it could be a matter of a blown fuse. The fuses work with your car`s electrical panel and if they`re blown, it can cause several lights to stop working. Replace the fuse and see if this helps. Another issue may be related to your wiring.

Trying to install a new fluro light, pull out old light to find 3 reds and 3 blacks 1 copper earth. What do I do to connect it up the right way??? When I pulled the old Fluro light out the 3 Reds were joined together with a connector ,two blacks were joined to one end of light wire, the other to the other end of the light wire, earth wire to the light case, the third black wire was connected to the wire from the ballast? Does this all make sense
ANSWER : No, this does not make sense but I have seen strange wiring before. There is power going from the light someplace else. Just connect it back up exactly as the old light was connected. It worked before so it will work again. If it works it is wired correctly. Without being there to check which wire was the hot wire and which was neutral it is impossible for me to say what is what. Make sure you connect the ground wire to the light chassis.

I have the Intex Sand/Pump pool filter Model SF 20110. It’s been running real great for the last 4 months. However recently it has been tripping the internal overloads and I have found the pump motor to be very hot when I put my hand against it. I have tried several different solutions, such as a level ground platform that was clear of any obstructions, made sure that the motor vents under the motor was clear of anything that would prevent air flow. I used a non electrical type of lubricate on the impeller. When I would turn on the pump the rotor would not turn but only would hum very loudly and then slowly begin to turn. I also noticed that the motor’s rotor shaft would not turn to freely due the tightness around the rotor’s shaft. After using the lubricate the shaft would turn a little easier. I used an amp meter on the incoming voltage line and the motor would run at 4.5 amp. And yet it still overheated and tripped the motor overloads. I can only think that the motor is still not getting enough ventilation. I have check and cleared all the incoming lines and found nothing block the pumps input or output lines. Any suggestion?
ANSWER : I just looking into this issue my self. The pump cools itself by a internal fan, which is run by the motor. Well I took the housing cover off to find out all the fan blades have broken off and were setting in the base of the pump. Once you remove the fan blades from covering the air intake, it might be fine. I will find out my self once summer gets here.

Hi, my tiger river spa does not heat. Filters are clean, jets work, no light installed. On ciruit board, green light for “Lim” , red light for heat, no other lights. Just bought house one month ago, no manuals.
Spa is a Bengal. Have noticed a symbol (can’t tell what it is) on the screen then most of screen goes blank with just the power light on. Is there a vacation mode or something like that?
Thanks for your help.
ANSWER : Spa’s are such that so many components can become faulty when left unattended to over a period of time. But most likely what your unit needs is just a regular service to clean up its systems and also ensure there are no leakages in the pipes. Bengal is a wonderful and durable product. The problem could range from low power supply to wires being eaten up by rats and other pests. Also it could be burnt out heaters thereby the inability to produce heat. The indicator on the screen could mean various things but the screen going blank usually would be caused by poor power supply. If you dont have the technical know how refer an expert to check it out and ensure the exact problem of the above mentioned is wrong with it before repairs can be carried out.Hope this solution has been helpful?

I have a wildwood le 25bhbs and the only towing lights working are my signal lights. can’t get running lights or brake lights to work. I saw where it looked like the towing harness may have been pinched. So I repaired that, but, they still do not work. Any ideas? Is there a fuse somewhere I need to check? Do I need to hook the trailer up to my trailer hitch before they will work? Is there a wiring diagram or repair manual somewhere I can get? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
ANSWER : There should be an inline fuse, check that first.

When i go to stari my bike it doesnt turn over i
ANSWER : If it doesn’t turn over when you push start, but it does if you wiggle the key back and forth, it’s probably the ignition switch. Try to isolate the problem by only doing one thing at a time, such as wiggling the key while it’s in the on position, or pushing start several times. It might be the starter motor too, but that seems a less likely possibility if turning the key back and forth fixes it temporarily. The way to make sure would be to jump the ignition switch all together (hotwire it) to see if it always starts then. You should be able to find a wiring diagram to show you how to do this.

Had entire spa light replaced 2 mos ago. Now color does not work. Light is “stuck” on white. Doesn’t seem that the color wheel is moving. Service that replaced light only gave me 30 day warranty on light. It was installed 12-13-2010. Any ideas on what to try?
ANSWER : You haven’t said what exact model you have so i can’t be sure but , in the models with rotating screens, the first part that fails is the coloured wheel – the heat deforms it , it bends out of shape and blocks the rotation. You will need to open the system and see if you can rotate the wheel by hand. If you can’t you need a new wheel. If the wheel can be moved by hand you will need to check if the motor gets powered when you try to change colours. If it gets powered but it doesn’t move then the motor is dead. If it doesn’t then the control board is faulty – replace the failed part.
