It`s available in all popular gauges, too, including 12, 16, 20, 28 and . 410. In 1970, a limited matched pair was offered in . 410 and 28 gauge, but are very rare finds today.

Thankfully, the gunmaking legend is back at it at the Ilion, N.Y., factory, employing many of the same craftsmen, supervisors and management. The company is concentrating initial efforts on manufacturing Model 870s, but plans including bringing back Model 1100s.
Production of the Matched Pairs ceased in 1970 with 5,067 built, although the remaining stock lasted until 1972. Through 1969, all 20-gauge Model 1100s were built on the 12-gauge receiver.
The Remington 1100 is still produced today, although there have been many modifications and improvements over the years. The current models are available in a number of configurations, including 12 and 20 gauge as well as a variety of barrel lengths and finishes.
The 1100 was first produced in 1963. According to Remington history it was designed by Wayne Leak and R Kelley. It was the first auto loading shotgun to utilize a gas cycling operation.
The only diffrence between a standard and magnum 1100 is the barrel sold with it and the magnum has a little heavier action bar sleeve. All 12ga 1100 guns will shoot 3″ if you have a 3″ barrel on it. Remington suggests you do not shoot heavy 3″ loads out of standard actions.
The Remington Model 870 shotgun is the best-selling gun in Remington history. Introduced in 1950 to replace the Model 31, it has been produced in a vast number of variants and is still in production. Versions have been made for military and law enforcement, as well as for the traditional sporting market.

And with more than 11,000,000 sold since its introduction in 1950, it`s become the best-selling shotgun of all time.

Eliphalet Remington II moved his barrel making operation from the forge site down to 200 acres alongside the new Erie Canal. This is the location of the present Remington factory in Ilion, New York.
in non-magnum guns is being produced by Remington. shoot three-inch magnum lead loads with a non-magnum gun.
Final Thoughts. Remington has made plenty of quality guns over the course of its more than 200-year history. Though the 870 was more popular, the 1100 is one of the best shotguns in the Big Green stable.
During the bankruptcy auction in September 2020, Remington Outdoor Company was sold in parts. The Remington Arms business and the non-Marlin firearms business was sold to Roundhill Group LLC. Remington`s ammunition business, brand name and trademarks were sold to Vista Outdoor.
The 870 is chambered for 2 ¾” and 3” (70 & 76mm) cartridges, whereas the 1100 is only for 2 ¾” shells, but with the huge range of ammunition available today, this is not too much of a handicap, albeit a little surprising from a modern firearm.
The Remington 1100 is compatible with Remington style chokes only.
A NEW ERA HAS BEGUN. Remington Firearms and Ammunition are now separate new companies. For Firearms, please contact 844-REMARMS (844-736-2767) for our Consumer Department.

At this time, it is only available in 12 gauge, and it is one of the longer 1100s out there, with a 50½ inch overall length. The barrel itself is 30 inches long, which is why it is perfect for precise and accurate competition shooting.

I have an Eclipse 1100 HR/A elliptical. I am having a problem with the arm that holds the right side foot pad in place. It keeps working it’s way loose. I open up the casing and tighten it COMPLETELY and then within 5 minutes of working out it is loose and making this horrible clunking noise as it turns. It seems like the thin – large washer on the outside of the arm is slightly warped. Could this be causing it to loosen and if so how do I order new parts and which parts should I order? Also, can you tell me where they put the serial number on the machine – I can’t seem to find it. Thanks in advance for your help.
