For the hand-held metal detector, the generated energy is in the form of a magnetic field. The interaction of this magnetic field with certain types of objects in the region around the detector and the ability to detect this interaction are the basis of operation for hand-held metal detectors.
Setting your metal detector to achieve the best sensitivity for your needs requires adjusting the frequency settings. Finding the right balance is challenging because low sensitivity settings won`t find contaminants, and high sensitivity settings will result in too many rejections.
HAND HELD METAL DETECTORS which can use in Hotels, Airport, Railway station to identify the person who is carrying dangerous weapons ect. DOOR FRAME METAL DETECTOR are available in semi Automatic and fully automatic with 2,4,6 sensors.
Detection Advance HHMD should be able to detect following: a) Pistol from min 30 cm distance. b) Cartridge 9mm at minimum 12 cm. c) Needle/Pin from min 5 cm.
The operation of metal detectors is based upon the principles of electromagnetic induction. Metal detectors contain one or more inductor coils that are used to interact with metallic elements on the ground. The single-coil detector illustrated below is a simplified version of one used in a real metal detector.
The main components of a simple metal detector circuit are LC circuit, proximity sensor, and the buzzer. The LC circuit is nothing but an inductor and capacitor, which are connected in parallel. This circuit activates the proximity sensor when it senses any metal close to it.
Most metal detectors use very low-frequency technology, also known as VLF. This technology uses two coils that make an electromagnetic field. When the field finds an object that conducts electricity, the object`s own magnetic field is detected. That`s when the detector alerts that it has found a metal object.
A typical metal detector`s best frequency for coins jewelry and relics is between 5 kHz to 15 kHz. This is the range where you will find most metal detectors for general-purpose are tuned.
It is necessary to test a metal detector to be sure that it is working properly at the agreed sensitivity. To test the detector, pass product containing small metal test pieces of an exact size, through the detector. Confirm the samples are detected and rejected.
All metal detectors need calibrating. Each manufacturer will tell you that at least one annual visit is necessary to keep the detector operating at its best.
The DISC LEVEL control is used to adjust the detector`s response to unwanted trash metal when operating in the Discrimination MODE. At the lowest setting (MIN), the detector will ignore most iron objects, but will still respond to light foil, bottle caps, pull tabs and most other metal objects,.
Typical minimum depth range from 25 to 30 cm underground. This range is obtained with very rough quick made coil (not optimized) using 10 cm diameter object. With optimizaed coil range of detection increase to more than 40 cm. The metal object detection is indicated by LED.
There are two primary types of security metal detector used in public: Hand held metal detectors or security wands.
A good hand-held metal detector should have a frequency range between 6.8 kHz and 20 kHz.
Digitals Hand Held Metal Detector Metaprobe-04 (HHMD 04), 9V Rechargeable Battery with Charger.
Hand Held Metal Detector has a large scanning area with an ultra-high sensitivity and is capable of detecting metal as low as 0.1 gm.
Most metal detectors can detect coins at an average maximum depth of 10 to 16 inches. Metal detectors transmit radio frequency signals from the search coil to locate the targets from the ground`s surface to a depth of over 20 feet for large deep treasures.
Inductive proximity sensors can only detect metal targets. They do not detect non-metal targets such as plastic, wood, paper, and ceramic. Unlike photoelectric sensors, this allows a inductive proximity sensor to detect a metal object through opaque plastic.
Metal Detector Power Supply, Input Voltage: 100 V Ac – 300 V Ac.
It should have the ability to detect different types of metals, and it must also be able to distinguish between them. The best ones are those which come with an LCD screen so you will know what type of metal you`re detecting as well as its depth in the ground.
A metal detector is capable of detecting all types of metals. These metals are divided into two categories, the first is ferrous and the second is non-ferrous. Ferrous refers to any metal that is attracted to a magnet. Ferrous metals are the easiest to detect due to the fact that they have magnetic properties.
The threshold frequency ν0 for a metal is 7.0×1014 s−1.
Sensitivity is the measure of a metal detector`s ability to detect a specific type and size of metal contaminant. The better the sensitivity of the metal detector, the smaller the pieces of irregular-shaped metal it can detect.
While the radar can only achieve a conical range of approx. 3 km, the RF Detector achieves a dome range of up to 14 km. An advantage of this method of detection. The system is scalable and can be adapted to the requirements and the budget.
