Replacing RV decals
You`ll need to thoroughly clean the area where the decals are to be installed with rubbing alcohol to get any residue off. Tape the decal backing in place with painter`s tape. Then use a measuring tape to ensure it`s going in the exact spot you want it.
One of the first things to try when attempting to give old RV decals their original shine is a simple cleaning product. Some RVers swear by 3M Marine Fiberglass Cleaner and Wax. Others say they`ve had luck with the individually packaged Rejuvenate restorer wipes or Max`s RV Vinyl Decal & Graphic Restorer.
For peeling stickers – Apply gentle heat on the peeling vinyl graphics with a hairdryer or heat gun. This will reactivate the glue, so have some wax paper ready to lay the sticker on. You may like to know: How to remove old vehicle decals.
You always have the option to remove the old vinyl RV decals, but many of our customers are just as pleased to have us go over the old ones (when possible) with a small overlap.
Absolutely. While decals are permanent they are also removable. Decals, labels and stickers are all intended for either short term or long term use to stick onto a variety of surfaces, for a multitude of different uses from personal projects to business marketing to product identification.
Unfortunately, once the original adhesive on the back of the sticker/decal has dried out or has lost its stickiness, there`s not really a good way to bring it back to life. You can, however, add a new layer of adhesive that will help your sticker stick again.
The long-term durability of a cast vinyl is typically seven to nine years, but this can be extended with proper/timely care and limiting exposure to the elements. The suppliers of graphics to the RV industry offer both calendered and cast graphics, so it is a conscious decision to choose the better product.
Tamper-proof stickers are either printed, made from cut vinyl material, and the main difference is in application or purpose. Stickers are generally stuck on any sized surfaces. Decals may have larger formats and are more likely to be stuck on walls, floors and glass.
Removable vinyl, from the name itself, is a removable sticker that doesn`t leave behind a sticky residue when peeled off. Because of this, it`s commonly used for objects like food packaging, home organization bins or canisters, name tags, or liquor bottles.
Vinyl stickers are cut vinyl with an adhesive and a design printed on the front in ink. Custom stickers may or may not also have shapes cut from them. Still, the critical component when differentiating a vinyl sticker from a vinyl decal is that a sticker design is printed on vinyl with a sturdy paper backing.
To make stickers at home, insert your designs into a color printer and then print them onto sticker paper. Once done, cut out the individual shapes either by hand or using a cutting machine like a Silhouette or Cricut.
As we mentioned before, you can print stickers at home using both inkjet and laser printers, as long as you double-check you have the corresponding paper. Generally speaking, the best printers for stickers are inkjet models. This is because they offer higher print resolution and image quality.
Removing stickers using a hair dryer or heat gun
Using the heat from a hair dryer or a heat gun can be used to remove labels and other stickers from any surface. Heat up the adhesive until it will be soft again. Then you will be able to slowly peel the sticker off.
Most decals are wet transfers, which means that they must be inserted into the water to release them from their backing film and onto the model aircraft. The backing film is already prepared with adhesive so there is no need to mess with glue or cement.
Or if your decals are looking faded and peeling off, you may wonder if it`s okay to cover them over again with paint. You can paint over RV decals if you have an older, flat-sided vehicle, but in most cases, your best bet is to remove the old decals and then add a fresh coat of paint.
Water Resistant Labels, which include Glossy White, Matte, and Clear Labels, are printed on polypropylene material which is finished with a water and oil resistant laminate for long lasting applications.
Stickers made out of vinyl and adhesive have a lifespan of up to 5 years while stickers made from cling last up to 6 months. Some specialty materials such as glow in the dark vinyl is not intended for long term outdoor use however it will still last indoors for up to 5 years.
Stickers that are printed on PVC are far more durable than comparable paper stickers, which are prone to peeling, fading and tearing. PVC stickers are waterproof, fade and scratch-resistant and can last for years. They can be cut into virtually any size or shape, allowing for complete customization of the stickers.
Over time, the moisture that helps the vinyl sticker adhere to things dries out, causing the sticker to begin bubbling or peeling. Carefully remove the vinyl sticker, and reapply it to the glass surface using a little cooking oil or baby oil. Apply a little baby oil to a glass window before reapplying a vinyl sticker.
The simplest way to keep your adhesive vinyl from peeling is to ensure the area you want to apply your decal to is clear of crumbs, dirt, or bumps. Oils from your hands create a residue that makes your decal peel as well. Also, any dirt or foreign objects on the surface can lead to peeling.
Whether you`re working with stickers that stick to plastic pretty well or those that just slide right off, you can use decoupage glue to put those stickers permanently in place. Use a decoupage glue designed for use on plastic to seal and optionally adhere the stickers for the best results.
Epoxy is a great choice when it comes to bonding plastics, as it will create a strong adhesive bond. Epoxy adhesives augment the structural strength of the plastic and also, provide chemical resistance.
Super glue is specially designed to form strong bonds on materials such as metal, ceramic, leather, rubber, vinyl, some plastics and many similar surfaces. For a better hold on smooth surfaces gently rough up the spot you plan to glue with sandpaper or steel wool first.

Can you help? It is an old Ariens mower but still runs good but now I need to bypass the safety switch in order to run it any longer. The local Ariens dealer said I need to go through the internet and get the wire diagram as they cannot give it to me directly. They told me I needed the wire diagram and the part involved in bypassing the safety switch. Hope this is all the information you need to help me.

ANSWER : Here is owner manual:http://apache.ariens.com/manuals/030305C.pdfusually the switch is behind the ignition, sometimes at the N position of gearshift, just look for a switch with one wire coming in & one going out (usually the same color); disconnect the two wires & jumper them together to bypass the switch. Looks like yours has one under the seat.

I need to replace a gas valve for a furnace its a york stellar 133,000 btus the old valve number is 36E36-304 but is discontinued i need the new valve that replaces the old one and the price the model of the furnace is P3UCD20N10601A AND THE SERIAL NUMBER IS EBBM032176,can you show me a picture of the valve to compair it with my old valve
