On your smartphone: Go to the Wi-Fi menu in your smartphone`s settings and select network SSID: “Road Scout“; if a password is required, enter “12345678“.
The factory settings are: X, K, and Ka Band On. While no signal is being detected, press and hold both the Dim and Mute buttons for four seconds. While no signal is being detected, press and hold both the Mute and City buttons for four seconds.
On the open road, we`d suggest using Highway mode for two reasons. One, for maximum radar-detection range. Two, to restore the audible alerts for low-signal-strength encounters.
As mentioned earlier, the American radar detector brands read radar codes which are X, Ka, and K. These particular codes refer to the frequencies coming from a police traffic radar gun.
QuietDrive – Quiet Drive is a muted driving mode for times when a driver wants less audible feedback while talking with passengers, on the phone, etc. Sensitivity Modes – Multiple sensitivity modes to reduce false alerts. Auto Mute – Automatically mutes audio for sustained alerts.
The Cobra RAD 380 detects X, K, and Ka radar bands by displaying the appropriate letters on the display. A giant “L” appears when a laser signal (LiDAR) is detected. The RAD 380 is also VG-2 capable, meaning it can identify the infamous “radar detector detector” signal.
Most likely this is due to a broken wire inside the power cord. Please try a new power cord.
Unless you live around a relatively wealthy area, and cops are only using Ka bands, you can keep K bands off. However, many places, even older police vehicles use K bands. There is a K band and Ka band filter, keeping K band on might help a little, if not, keep X and K band off.
Important Information about Radars
It is much safer and easier just to remove the radar detector from the window and unplug it from its power source than it is to have to deal with the police. A simple stop for a radar detector can easily turn into a search, among other things.
Just like any aftermarket vehicle product, your radar detector should be an investment that lasts. A radar detector`s lifespan can vary. As radar and laser gun manufacturers develop and update their technology, police radar detector and laser jammer manufacturers must do the same.

Need the wire diagram to rewire my Ariens lawnmover to bypass the safety switch. It is Ariens GT-19 model # 931026 Serial # 001463.
Can you help? It is an old Ariens mower but still runs good but now I need to bypass the safety switch in order to run it any longer. The local Ariens dealer said I need to go through the internet and get the wire diagram as they cannot give it to me directly. They told me I needed the wire diagram and the part involved in bypassing the safety switch. Hope this is all the information you need to help me.

ANSWER : Here is owner manual:http://apache.ariens.com/manuals/030305C.pdfusually the switch is behind the ignition, sometimes at the N position of gearshift, just look for a switch with one wire coming in & one going out (usually the same color); disconnect the two wires & jumper them together to bypass the switch. Looks like yours has one under the seat.
