Experienced athletes share their insights in answering this question:
Plug in power cord, remove key, hold down speed+ and stop buttons,
replace key, release buttons, press stop once, press and hold speed +
until max. treadmill will run to top speed (s9.80 should read out 11.8
to 12.5.) It took a couple of times to get this to work for mine, but
now it is OK. If unit does not run after several attempts then the
console is probably bad and will need to be replaced ($410). Get
another treadmill ! If it does run the console may still beep –
problem is with IFIT card. You can get rid of the beeps by opening the
console and unplugging the IFIT cable from the computer card if you
want.

How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

The beeping noise is a safety feature that all fitness equipment manufacturers include on their products. It alerts the user to a change during a workout that includes a change in the resistance level on an elliptical and the speed and/or incline on a treadmill.
One long, continuous beep generally means that there is a hardware problem – often memory related – that can prevent your computer from starting up at all. If you can`t start your computer properly, you`ll need to take a look at the physical hardware inside your machine.
Lift the belt off the motor pulley. Position the motor upright to access the speed sensor at the underside of the motor. Check the stability of the sensor in the bracket that holds it to the motor. If the sensor is not stable, use a screwdriver to tighten the screws and secure the bracket.
All treadmills make a certain type of thumping noise due to the belt riding over the rollers, especially new treadmills. This noise will diminish over time, although it may not totally go away. Over time, the belt will stretch, causing the belt to ride smoother over the rollers.
Usually, a 3-beep error indicates a system memory error. If it is, please check your ram module if it is seated properly.
A beep code is the audio signal from a computer when it first powers on to give the Power-On Self-Test (POST) result. Typically, one short beep means that it passed the test successfully or a series of beeps means that something is wrong with the computer hardware.
Three long beeps followed by two short beeps is a memory initialization error. This means that the memory has failed. If you only have one stick of memory it is very difficult to diagnose.
As the system is speeded up, the Reed Sensors gives feedback to the system controls to speed up the motor until the number of pulses meant for that speed setting is reached.
E3 Error: Inside of motor drive is overheated and the high temperature exceeds the protection level. Resolution: Check the treadmill motor for signs of overheating (strong smell, grinding noises, inconsistent operation speeds). If the motor appears overheated, ensure that the treadmill is properly lubricated.

My treadmill (Reebok 35000) is approx. 5 years old. It was running fine until recently without any problems ever. Yesterday when I went to use, it did not start. None of the buttons work other than the stop button. The stop button is the only one that makes the beeping sound.
What could be wrong with it.
ANSWER : Hi,All
powered treadmills have a breaker. The purpose of the breaker is to
prevent a power surge that might damage the treadmill motor. Check
the circuit breaker on the frame near the power cord. If the reset/off
circuit breaker has tripped, wait 5 minutes and then reset the breaker
by pressing the switch in. That should fix the problem.

I have a code 88 on my intex 8110. I have followed the directions for setup out of the standby mode. However, when I push the down button for a couple of seconds there is no short beep to prompt me to push the up button for a couple of seconds to start the programming mode. When I do push the up button, it has a fast pace, nonstop beeping as long as I have the button pushed. This was not a problem I had last year when I used it.
ANSWER : Code 88 – Startup/Standby for Intex 8110.Try hold down the left button for almost 6 seconds until it “beeps”, then
hold down right button for about 6 seconds until next “beeps”. That
should unlock the keypad.I hope this helps. Thank you and good luck!

I hae a Pro Form 540 Iteracive Trainer treadmill.
When the key is inserted, the treadmill cuts on but the control panel doesn’t seem to work when you touch start. I waited and cut it off and went back later and it did start but when I tried to increase speed, the speed button didn’t work. Then when I hit “stop” on the panel it did not do that either. I had to take the key out to make it stop.
ANSWER : Hi,I will advice you try re-calibrate your treadmill, follow the procedure below to re-calibrate it,Step 1
Stand on the side rails of the treadmill for safety purposes. Remove the safety key.

Step 2 Press and hold the two
incline buttons. The incline buttons are blue and on the left side of
the display. Hold the up and down button simultaneously. Release the
buttons when the display reads “Calibration.”

Step 3 Press the green start
button located either above or below the large, red stop button
(depending on your model). Stay on the side rails as the treadmill belt
begins to move. Both the speed and incline should go through their full
range from lowest to highest, and then back down again.

Step 4 Repeat the process if the
display does not read “Calibration Successful.”
