Experienced athletes share their insights in answering this question:
You have probably messed up your solenoid, did you fire the marker straight up with the o2? I would make sure that all of the board settings are back to factory default especially the dwell and reattempt with compressed air. If the marker is still not firing get your hands on a new solenoid for it.

How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

The internal gears may be misaligned, and/or the motor may be disconnected or damaged. Multiple rapid beeps indicate the battery charge is completely diminished and will not shoot. Recharge your battery. No blinking or audible beeps may require you to replace the MOSFET.
This is a fairly common problem with AK-variant guns. The problem is typically either the selector switch (lever) is loose and needs to be tightened or the selector gear is not properly engaging the gearbox and selector plate. Try tightening your selector switch.
Dryfiring an airsoft weapon will cause damage and wear to its internal components, and it`s not recommended to do it to an excess.
Typically, welts heal faster than a bruise. Whereas a welt can gradually disappear in a couple of days, it might take up to two weeks for a bruise to heal completely. The bruise will become lighter and lighter until it`s no longer noticeable.
For pistols, it is much more normal to see the 150 to 200 FPS range. While for assault rifles, ones below an FPS of 250 are generally not effective. A good FPS for an assault rifle would be anywhere from 300 to 400 FPS. Anything beyond 500 FPS is generally disallowed in most airsoft events due to safety concerns.
Blow Back is a mechanism that imitates the strong recoil of the bolt during shooting. This recoil is typical for firearms, and the use of this system in an airsoft gun increases its realism.
What`s the Risk? Those who do not wear eye protection are at risk of eye injury, according to the AAP. Airsoft pellets that strike the eye can cause scratches, painful pooling of blood inside the eye, lens dislocation or blindness. The AAP recommends that kids use paintball-style protective eyewear.
Dry fire does not pose any real risk of damage to most modern centerfire firearms; however, it can for rimfire weapons, where the firing pin in most designs will impact the breech face if the weapon is dry-fired.
SECTION 4 : BLIND FIRING

Blind fire is not permitted. Blind fire is when you are shooting your replica without line of sight down your barrel. Players must be looking down their barrel`s line of sight and be behind their replica when shooting.

Dry Firing PCP and CO2 Air Rifles

Dry firing PCP or CO2 air rifles will usually be completely safe, as there isn`t a piston to worry about. You`re simply releasing a short spurt of air/CO2 to force the pellet up the barrel.

For example, if you drop your cartridge near a steel object and it lands at the perfect angle with enough force, the bullet could go off. When there`s enough force, the impact on the primer would mimic the impact of a firing pin after the trigger of a gun is pulled.
Reliably Powerful – Each 12g CO2 cartridge can deliver a minimum of 30 shots and a maximum of 200 shots, depending on the C02 powered device you use. However, these CO2 cartridges 12 gram can give you 20 to 30 good shots at once.
How much psi would a standard 12 gram CO2 air gun cartridge take before exploding? At room temperature of 20 C (68F), the vapor pressure of the L/g CO2 in the cartridge is already 60 atmospheres. This is roughly equivalent 900 psi.
Airsoft is very safe for kids as long as they are well educated about weapon use and its dangers. An Airsoft event is one of the safest, controlled environments available for both kids and adults to shoot each other. Kids can learn much more than just shooting guns by playing Airsoft.
It will sting a fair amount on bare skin and feel even worse on a finger, or an ear in the cold. However, there are plenty of opportunities to reduce the pain experienced.
DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle): 401-450fps, or 1.78 joules max, with a 50` minimum engagement distance, and set to semi-automatic only. SNIPER: Bolt action and a few semi-automatics allowed (i. e. SVD). Velocity not to exceed 500fps, or 2.31 joules max, with a 100` minimum engagement distance.
“Around 350 feet per second is a figure you want to keep in mind,” says Beeman. “At 300 to 400 fps, that`s where penetration occurs in a human skin. Below 350 fps, it is generally considered capable of only limited harm. Above 350 is considered very harmful or lethal.
Anything not considered a DMR (designated marksman rifle) or a sniper rifle, so long as the replica clocks in between 366 and 420FPS, you`re in the clear. DMRs must clock in between 420 and 450FPS. And the ever so `rare` sniper user, anything over 480, but under 550FPS, is considered ideal.
It depends a lot on your protection and pain tolerance. But you will feel the hit. It might feel like a pinch or a bee sting, particularly on bare skin or through thin clothing. It might feel more like a poke if you`re shot through clothing or armor.
Since BB guns are almost copies of the real firearms, they can be used to train recruits and teach different tactical schemes. Even more, gun experts and instructors encourage people to use airsoft guns for both dry fire and live fire training so they`ll get used to the idea of holding a gun.
A small amount of noise from the AEG is emitted from the barrel and this sound can be effectively removed or suppressed by an airsoft suppressor. The suppressors are often filled with foam to further reduce the sound.
Airsoft guns are as loud as a regular TV program, which is around 90-95 decibels (dB). In this range, they are safe to use even without hearing protection. Based on the firing mechanism, some replicas are louder than others.

I bought a new mossberg 590 a1 shot gun a month ago, I love the gun but its having a couple of problems, the first problem is that when shooting every once in a while i get sprayed in the face with exuast from shooting through the safety very scary! any ideas whats causing this? how to fix it? second is that some times the fireing pin sticks and the gun will not discharge a round? the third problem is that i have had feeding issues with gun where it will not realice a gound from the tube, ive taken a tip of a knife to the stuck round in the tube and it prys out with little effort, these problems dont happen every time i go shooting, just every once in a while, but they a happening more and more, im conserned cause the gun is brand new, and i wanna be safe while shooting, can you guys help me? any ideas/solutions? please help!!!!!!!
ANSWER : Personally, with that many problems, I’d call Mossberg and get a return authorization. None of these things should be happening, especially with a new gun.

I have the Intex Sand/Pump pool filter Model SF 20110. It’s been running real great for the last 4 months. However recently it has been tripping the internal overloads and I have found the pump motor to be very hot when I put my hand against it. I have tried several different solutions, such as a level ground platform that was clear of any obstructions, made sure that the motor vents under the motor was clear of anything that would prevent air flow. I used a non electrical type of lubricate on the impeller. When I would turn on the pump the rotor would not turn but only would hum very loudly and then slowly begin to turn. I also noticed that the motor’s rotor shaft would not turn to freely due the tightness around the rotor’s shaft. After using the lubricate the shaft would turn a little easier. I used an amp meter on the incoming voltage line and the motor would run at 4.5 amp. And yet it still overheated and tripped the motor overloads. I can only think that the motor is still not getting enough ventilation. I have check and cleared all the incoming lines and found nothing block the pumps input or output lines. Any suggestion?
ANSWER : I just looking into this issue my self. The pump cools itself by a internal fan, which is run by the motor. Well I took the housing cover off to find out all the fan blades have broken off and were setting in the base of the pump. Once you remove the fan blades from covering the air intake, it might be fine. I will find out my self once summer gets here.

I have a tippmann custom pro with a cyclone feeder. I recently got the SAW stock to put on it and encountered some problems many times after I reassembled the gun. I took it apart at least 5 times before I thought it was fixed but now ive encountered another problem. I believe it has to do with the cyclone feeder not responding or something is out of line in the gun. When I picked up the gun to shoot, no paint came out so I took off the CO2 and the barrel and saw that the paintball was 1/3 inside the gun. I also have a problem when im shooting it sometimes does really fast burst. Thank you
ANSWER : Hi there. Tippmann markers are super tough to make sure that they are put back together properly. The stupid clamshell design plus all the little, under engineered parts make it difficult to get it back together properly, especially after installing a stock. I was in the paintball industry for 10 years but have been out of it for a little bit, but i was one of the founding members of Uprising Nation and was a gunsmith/ salesman for PaintballOnline.com / Xtremes. Now with that said…I even had trouble with the tippmann 98’s…and I can rebuild an autococker with my eyes closed but can sometimes be stumped by the tippy’s bad design. It is really tough to diagnose an issue on these guns without looking at it. You may have the ball detent backwards,l missing a pin, sometimes the after market stocks on those are a little too large on the outside diameter preventing the internals from properly seating. The cycloce system may be off due to the valves not meing properly aligned or the connecting rod not being in all the way. Many times though it is incorrect installation of the detent or the deternt gets damages. That little orange peice of **** flap is a mance. I would start there.

It may seem like i am bashing your gun. Im not… Once they are put together properly they work great. Just DONT TAKE THEM APART. lol. If you buy the parts at a local gun shop they will install them for free.

lol I have 6 guns for sale 🙂

Have a good day

Mar 12, 2010 – Could it be the check valve? I took it off and the flap appears to be working correctly. This well has been here a long time. Never given me any problems. I do have galvenized couplers on the discharge and intake sides. Old. Could these be leaking even though they show no sign of water? The discharge is able to hold 30 pounds easily overnight. I do not hear any vacuum in the intake when I take it off. Could the pipe to the well have a leak? I know I would have to insert a sleeve bnut I do not want to go through the hassle if I do not have to. I had put on a brand new pump from the hardware store that did the same thing so I think that would elliminate the pump as being the problem.
Mar 12, 2010 – I have a 3/4hp flotec convertible jet pump. It is able to hold 30lbs pressure on the discharge side as the primie easily for 24 hours. It is not able to pull water from the well whcih has been here for years. i disconnected it for the winter and rehooked it up. The galvanized couplers on the discharge and pump side are old but do not appear to be leakeing as I taped them well. The check valve seems to be functioning well as I took it off and the flap works correctly. The well is not pulling watrer. there does not appear to be a vacuum on the check vale when I losen it. could the check valve be bad? I am aware I might have to resleeve the well, but do not want to hassle with this if I do not have to. I want to eliminate everything else first. i put another brand new pump on it to see if it was that. That partiuclar pump which was the same thng did not work either.

ANSWER : Your well has gone dry it seems. It has happened to my before. At first the new pump I purchased that did not pump I took back for exchange and still no water. I finally gave in and called the well experts and I was told the well was dried up

HI!
I continually get code 90 (low/NO flow) from my 8111. I have disassembled, cleaned EVERYTHING, including the inlet port AT the pump (remind everybody to check this as stuff gets past the filter basket and will plug the pump inlet).

There is No air in the system and I get superb pressure at the outlet, yet I still get code 90. I again removed the flow sensor and put my ohm meter across the flow sensor terminals and activated the flapper and measured an open circuit. I used a heavier magnet to see if I could get make the internals of the sensor move to get an ohm reading, but I get nothing but an open circuit, ie: no measured resistance.

Can I simply bypass the defective flow sensor to trick the 8111 to think it has full flow without damaging the ‘brain’ of the system.?

Intex corp is useless at these questions. They have been out of stock on this sensor for months and are telling me “two weeks” for two months and now it’s “end of August” which I do not believe. Meanwhile I am making no chlorine while the 90 code is showing.

I love the 8111, this is the first problem I’ve had with it, and I’m frustrated that I can not get such an important part from them.

Thanks for listening!

ANSWER : Have you been able to find a solution to this problem. I am having the same issue.

My alpha black paintball gun is shooting 1 to 5 then stopping.
ANSWER : Sounds like it needs to be oiled. A couple of drops in the small hole where your bottle screws on.
Replace bottle and dry fire to see if you got it. Cleaning is just as important. Internals need to be cleaned
and lubed often. I know it’s late but hope it helps someone.

I have response trigger on my a5 and only shots one shot at a time when pointing straight. When i raise the gun to the air and shot it response trigger works. What could be the problem?
ANSWER : If you are using CO2 it may be affecting the system. With a gun down straight, you could draw liquid CO2 into the internals. A siphon tube can be installed in a CO2 tank to stop or manage this. If you have access to someone’s air tank, try using HPA (high pressure air aka nitrogen). If it fires fine with air you have deducted that the CO2 is to blame. Simple. Switch to air. It’s better for the gun anyway! Now if the air didnt change anything I would think a component of the response trigger system is to blame. I am not familiar with the response trigger( I use E-grips) but I would think that a part that may slide or move forward or bak when you lift the gun up would be to blame. Most local shops should be able to diagnose the problem. I did find an installation video by Tippmann on youtube.
Here is a link.
