How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?
We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :
Throughout gyms, parks, and driveways around the world, basketball hoops are almost always 10 feet (3 meters) off the ground. Some leagues for young children play on shorter hoops, but from junior high schools through the professional leagues, the game is played on hoops of the standard 10-foot height.
NBA goaltending rules prohibit a player from touching “any live ball from within the playing area that is on its downward flight with an opportunity to touch the basket ring. This is considered to be a `field goal attempt` or trying for a goal.” Just after bouncing, that ball would be headed UP, not down.
Installing an in-ground basketball hoop can also take a lot of tools and specialized equipment. Digging a hole large enough for the basketball hoop post is not easy to do by hand, and if you don`t have an auger or backhoe, you may need to rent equipment to complete the task.
You can fix a hole in a basketball by locating the hole and using a ball repair sealant kit. You`ll be inserting a needle and spraying the interior bladder of your ball, thereby plugging up the hole so no more air can escape.
The rims have always been 10-feet high since James Naismith posted 13 rules for a game he called “Basket Ball” in a Springfield, Mass., YMCA gym in 1891.
Size 7. Size 7 basketballs measure 29.5” in circumference and have a standard weight of 22 oz. Size 7 basketballs are the standard ball size for men`s professional basketball associations, such as the NBA, as well as men`s college, high school, and travel basketball leagues.
Simply place a level on the sides of the pole to check it for levelness. You can loosen the top nuts slightly and adjust the bottom nuts to move the system up or down on the corner which needs leveling. When the system is level, simply tighten all nuts against the pole system.
There are a few ways to move a basketball hoop filled with water, but the most common is to use a large container or truck. You can also use an improvised method involving using PVC pipes and buckets. Finally, you can drain the water from the hoop and place it on its side in order to easier transport.

HI!
I continually get code 90 (low/NO flow) from my 8111. I have disassembled, cleaned EVERYTHING, including the inlet port AT the pump (remind everybody to check this as stuff gets past the filter basket and will plug the pump inlet).
There is No air in the system and I get superb pressure at the outlet, yet I still get code 90. I again removed the flow sensor and put my ohm meter across the flow sensor terminals and activated the flapper and measured an open circuit. I used a heavier magnet to see if I could get make the internals of the sensor move to get an ohm reading, but I get nothing but an open circuit, ie: no measured resistance.
Can I simply bypass the defective flow sensor to trick the 8111 to think it has full flow without damaging the ‘brain’ of the system.?
Intex corp is useless at these questions. They have been out of stock on this sensor for months and are telling me “two weeks” for two months and now it’s “end of August” which I do not believe. Meanwhile I am making no chlorine while the 90 code is showing.
I love the 8111, this is the first problem I’ve had with it, and I’m frustrated that I can not get such an important part from them.
Thanks for listening!
ANSWER : Have you been able to find a solution to this problem. I am having the same issue.
My basketball hoop broke and I have a pole cemented in the ground. Can you buy just the hoop/backboard itself and attach to the pole or do I have to cut the pole and start over?
ANSWER : Sorry I know nothing about basketball but it seems a crying shame to cut down the pole even if you can’t find a replacement hoop and board.
I have faced many similar things and I find remembering the wise old saying “in order to get the right answer it is important to first ask the right question”…
I suggest you ask around those who should know such things – the coach at the local schools, local teams. If you don’t get satisfaction then why not ask your local repair shop or fabricator if they can make what you need at a reasonable cost.
We have model#38025 Toro 1800 snow blower that I am trying to fix. My husband accidentally got an electrical extension cord wrapped around the cylindrical curved inside and it’s jammed in pretty good. I have tried getting a manual online with no luck and we do not have a manual because the people who gave it to us forgot to give us the manual. I need to know how to get inside so that I can free the cord. Help please!
ANSWER : Here is the owner manual and the parts catalogue for your guide. You must have an Adobe Acrobat Reader installed in your pc to view thi file cause its pdf format.1. manuals/38025_operator_3327-516.pdf 2. manuals/38025_parts_3319-653.pdf
My Reebok step is stuck on high setting
ANSWER : My wife has one and it sounds like you might have opened it up to far like she did. I had to pop off the plastic end caps (where the steps pivot) with a screw driver. Once the caps are off you’ll see a c-clip on each side which you can remove by using a screwdriver and a small hammer to drive them off and once they’re off you can remove the steps and re-install them at the lower position and then re-install the c-clips and plastic caps
I own an 1992 Yamaha Phazer II PZ 480. I have done a bunch of work trying to get this hunk o stuff going. I have good spark and compression from the motor. I rebuilt both carbs and both clutches it starts and runs fine but when I try to move it just boggs down- no power? Where should l look next to get this thing moving again? I work at a Marina that used to service sno-mobiles so I have the tools to get it done. Could you maybe send me an assembly diagram of where to look and what to do next? Thanks
ANSWER : For an assembly diagram, contact Yamaha directly.

Hello,
I am renting a home in NJ, and would like to open our pool. I am not very savvy when it comes to inground pools… i tried to figure out how to turn my Hayward S244T Hi Rate Sand Filter on, and get it going. While i did manage to get water pumping into the pool, it was not filtering out.
Can you please explain to me what i am suppose to do, and how to do it. I have an owners manual, but i find it very hard to follow, and everything is already installed, i am just having problems filtering it out.
Thanks!
Christine Mincer
