One great tool to get your camper level is a BAL leveler. It works to get your single axle or pop-up trailer level in just minutes by being placed around your tire on the low side of the trailer. Use the ratchet to lift the low side–and you are done!
Lay the painting face-down on a clean surface. Use an acid-free glue (“white” craft glue) to adhere the repair fabric. A primer such as acrylic gesso or a medium such as matte or gel medium also works well as glue. Apply a thin, even layer of glue, gesso, or medium to the patch and place it over the tear.
How Does an RV Slide Out Work? RV slide outs work by changing from an extended to retracted position depending on whether your RV is set up for camping or driving. They are typically operated through an electrical system on your RV`s control center, where the push of a button can retract or expand the slide.
A conventional pop-up consists of a trailer frame, a box, a hard roof, pull-out bunks and “soft” walls. The walls are made of vinyl, canvas, or a similar material, and include windows with screens.
I glued a piece of cut canvas repair fabric on both the interior and exterior of the camper. This has made a nice solid repair. The canvas and glue repairs are fairly simple easy. The main thing to do is measure the length of the canvas that is going to cover the tear.
3. How long does a pop-up camper last? A pop-up camper can last as many as fifteen years if you look after it.
The most common causes for trailer sway are improper weight distribution, tight turns, steep roads, high-speed driving, a tall truck passing, crosswinds, over-steering, and under-inflated tires.
Leaving your camper “up” might seem like a good idea. However, since pop ups are constructed with soft sides, typically canvas, leaving it popped up is an invitation for critters and pests to enter and set up house or cause destruction.
Pop-up camper air conditioners work similarly to air conditioners in any other RV. The difference you may encounter is how well the camper will maintain its temperature. Having a canvas exterior makes it more susceptible to heat. The canvas will hold the cool air in, but not as efficiently as a hard-sided camper.
The effects of water on paintings

Canvas supports can shrink dramatically when wet, causing paint and ground layers to crack, buckle and flake off. Wood products can swell and warp.

Lay the canvas face down on a clean thick cotton towel. Hold a steam iron above the back of the canvas about an inch or so. Lightly release steam onto the dent or wrinkle until it`s wet. Wipe off excess water, then let it dry upright.
Cracking results when movement or dimensional changes exceed the flexibility of the paint film and primer. (`Crazing` has a similar appearance to cracking, but is caused by movement between fresh paint layers during drying.)
The best treatment for acrylic canvas is a fluoropolymer-based product. This type of treatment is compatible with the original finish, and it gives excellent and long-lasting results. Waterproofers that have a petroleum-based vehicle have demonstrated better performance on acrylic canvas than water-based treatments.
From affordability to convenience, a pop-up trailer is quite popular among campers. To keep it durable for a longer time, you need to take care of its canvas. In case you think your canvas is excessively damaged and has too many tears, you should consider pop up canvas replacement and its cost.

1995 Coleman Utah pop-up won’s stay up
ANSWER : I had the same problem on my 1997 Coleman Fleetwood Bayside. I took out the spring pin from the crank shaft using a finishing nail and a hammer. I then put a 9/16th” socket inside to hold the nut in place while I used a pipe wrench on the outside of the crank shaft to turn it about 1/4-turn clockwise. Voila! Now it works.

We have a bad smell in our Rockwood 8284ss 5th wheel. It is hard to describe because it is not coming from the stool. There is not much odor when flushed and is not very strong in bathroom. It seems to be strongest in the storage compartment under the front of the camper and also then in the bedroom area there and at the front end of the slide out inside. The closest I can come to describing the smell is to say it smells like a bunch of dirty diapers in a pile or wet clothes that have been standing. Maybe a little on the urine smell also. This has been noticeable for about the last week. As far as I can tell there is nothing wet sitting in any of those areas and we have had no leaks in the camper that we know of.
ANSWER : Sounds like your holding tank is leaking.

I suspect your alternator and/or battery have gone faulty, the battery because the alternator, isn’t charging, and the alternator because it is not suppling charging current. Either that of the battery charging circuit, has faulted. You should troubleshoot this and see if you have good output from the Alternator, and changeover, and battery charging circuit.
