A loose connection can result in the console not displaying distance, speed, or calories, or showing no display at all. Check all connections in the front post stem to ensure the wires are connected and intact. If the problem persists, please contact us.
The serial number can be found on a decal attached to the elliptical crosstrainer (see the front cover of this manual for the location of the decal). Before reading further, please familiarise yourself with the parts that are labelled in the drawing below.
Change the batteries to fix a dead or unresponsive console. Replace the batteries during routine elliptical maintenance to keep the console powered up and working properly. If the elliptical console doesn`t light up or work properly after replacing the batteries, you`ll likely need to replace the console.

At least once per month, you should give your elliptical a more thorough cleaning. Focus on the areas around the stride rails and rollers. Cleaning you should do every 6 months: Twice per year, after making sure your machine is powered off and unplugged, carefully remove the plastic cover and vacuum it internally.

If you have more ambitious fitness goals and want to see more substantial results in a shorter amount of time, then an hour-long elliptical session should do the trick. Compared to its half-hour counterpart, the longer duration of this exercise routine will allow you to burn more calories.
Aim for 90 Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
If you are using the elliptical machine, aim for an RPM of 85-90. It may take some practice to do this. For the first few minutes, keep a moderate resistance (2-8) until you feel comfortable with a higher cadence.
Even competing against yourself can motivate you to push harder. And again: be persistent. 15-30 minutes on your elliptical machine per day is enough to maintain your wanted weight or even lose more.
Beginner Elliptical Workout
Warm up at a comfortable pace. Keep the resistance or ramps low. Increase the resistance and/or ramps one to four increments, or until you`re working harder than your warm-up pace. You should feel you`re working, but you should be able to carry on a conversation.
Aim for 90 RPM (Revolutions Per Minute)
Aim for an 85-90 RPM when using the elliptical. This may take some practice. You may need to maintain just a moderate resistance (2-8) until you feel comfortable at the high cadence. Be patient with yourself when first using the elliptical.
Burns a lot of calories
If you`re looking for a way to crush your calorie burn in a short amount of time, jump on the elliptical. Depending on how much you weigh, this cardio machine can burn about 270–400 calories in 30 minutes (1).
