The longest tennis match in history featured five sets, three days and a 138-point tiebreaker. John Isner outlasted Nicolas Mahut in a first-round match at the 2010 Wimbledon men`s singles tournament that spanned 11 hours and five minutes, shattering the record for longest match of all time.
The match happened in 2010, between John Isner and Nicholas Mahut in Wimbledon. Isner won the match with a score of 70 games to 68 in the 5th set. It is by far the longest match ever, as the #2 match lasted “only” 6 hours and 43 minutes.
Roger Federer (SUI) advances to the men`s final, outlasting Juan Martin del Potro (ARG) 3-6, 7-6, 19-17. The match lasted 4 hours and 26 minutes.
If it`s any consolation for Team Tomic, it isn`t the fastest recorded beat-down of all time. Fellow Australian Margaret Court won the 1963 Eastern Grass Court Championships in 24 minutes, but Suzanne Lenglen holds the all-time “official” record. She beat Molla Mallory in 23 minutes in the 1922 Wimbledon final.
Aki Rahunen won a 24–22 first set tiebreak against Peter Nyborg in the first round of qualifying of the 1992 Copenhagen Open, going on to win the match 7–6, 2–6, 6–3.
A historic duel with Verdasco

Eight years earlier, in 2009, Nadal met in the semifinals of the Australian Open with another Spanish tennis player, Fernando Verdasco, who did not make things easy for Nadal, who won the match 6-7 84), 6- 4, 7-6 (2), 6-7 (1) and 6-4 after 5 hours and 10 minutes of play.

The first player or team to win seven points, by two, wins the tiebreak. This means the score can end up being very high (e.g. 15-13) or as low as 7-0 through 7-5. Whoever wins the tiebreak game, wins the set by a score of 7-6.
Tennis scores were shown in the middle ages on two clock faces which went from 0 to 60. On each score the pointer moved round a quarter from 0 to 15, 30, 45 and a win on 60. Somehow the forty five got truncated to forty when the clock faces dropped out of use.
If the score reaches 6–5 (or 5–6), one further game is played. If the leading player wins this game, the set is won 7–5 (or 5–7). If the trailing player wins the game, the score is tied at 6–6 and a special tiebreaker game is played.
A significant match in the Djokovic–Nadal rivalry, Djokovic defeated Nadal 5–7, 6–4, 6–2, 6–7, 7–5 to win the tournament. It was the longest major final match (by duration) in history, lasting 5 hours 53 minutes, overtaking the record previously set by the 1988 US Open final between Mats Wilander and Ivan Lendl.
It`s rare that a tennis match stops a nation – let alone the entire world – but that`s exactly what happened during the 2012 Australian Open men`s final. The match was between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, and it lasted a jaw-dropping five hours and 53 minutes – the longest Grand Slam final of all time.
Most professional men`s tennis matches are played in a best-of-three sets format, with 6 games (and a possible tiebreak) in each set. In Grand Slams (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open), men play best-of-five sets, which means that players need to win 3 sets to win the match.
A golden match is when a player does not lose a single point in the entire match. There are five documented cases of this at low-level events. Hazel Hotchkiss Wightman did so in a 1910 amateur match in the state of Washington.
In his fourth-round match against 31st-seeded Yoshihito Nishioka, Khachanov was on the brink of making history by becoming the first player in the history of Grand Slams to win 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 over a seeded player in the main draw. Khachanov dominated the first two sets, winning both 6-0 with perfect display.
The Grand Slam Board said if the score is 6-all in the final set, the winner will be the first player to reach 10 points with an advantage of two or more points.
There are two kinds of tiebreaks that may be played in a match. A 7-point set tiebreak is played when the game count is tied during a set and a 10-point match tiebreak is played when each team has taken a set.

#1. Stefan Edberg vs Michael Chang, 1992 – 5 hours and 26 minutes. Stefan Edberg and Michael Chang have played some thrilling matches over the years in and one of them came at the US Open in 1992.
Isner and Mahut returned the following morning. Finally, after a remarkable 11 hours and five minutes of play, Isner won the 138th game of the fifth set to record an astonishing 6-4, 3-6, 6-7, 7-6, 70-68 victory. It was the longest match in Wimbledon – and professional tennis – history.

Hot tub won’t stay at set temperature
ANSWER : I have a 2002 Infinity 6 man spa that I just got from a friend. I am also an Electrician. I had to replace the Spa pack because it wasn’t working. Once I replaced the Spa Pack and used the tub it got up to temp no problem but once I got in the temperature slowly dropped and it couldn’t keep up. After some research and discussion with a pool tech I found out that there is a jumper on some spa packs. It is a LC (low current) / HC (high current) jumper. It limits the current (amperage) that your tub draws. If you are running it on the LC setting it keeps the tub at low current by not running the heater when the jets are on. (this way it keeps the current low by running one only at a time) If you set it for HC it will allow high current to be drawn and let the heater and the jets be on at the same time. On my spa pack it is P26 Jumper. I have found it is also listed as Jumper 4 on some spa packs. the jumpers are located in the lower right of the circuit board. Make sure you shut off the power to the tub and know what you’re doing before you attempt changes. you can also google “Gecko Spa Pack Service Manual” and you will find the manual for your tubs spa pack. Good luck.
