How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

In ice rinks, the refrigerant cools brine water, an anti-freezing agent, which goes through pipes underneath the ice. These steel pipes are typically embedded into a concrete slab and kept at 32 F / 0 C, so that any water placed on top of the slab freezes and becomes the skating surface that we see.
Our current village displays have changed dramatically to become the ones from Lemax that we know and love today. Made from ceramic or porcelain, each design is hand-sculpted, hand-cast and hand-painted.
The Simple Rink is a sturdy bag that unfolds into a rectangular rink, holding water in the proper shape to freeze into a smooth ice surface. The bag allows 2″ – 3″ of water to freeze in one shot, removing the need for repeated flooding and freezing. An occasional spray of water will help to maintain a smooth surface.
Tens of millions of people worldwide enjoy ice skating each year for pleasure, fun and sport! That is a lot of skating and a lot of ice! Most skaters enjoy this pastime on outdoor rinks or indoor rinks made of natural ice (aka frozen water). But there is also a second option – synthetic ice.
Ice rinks require chillers capable of achieving 9°C (15°F). This is easily achieved with Caterpillar`s low-temperature chiller module (which can achieve –40° F LWT) and some air-cooled machines. Rental systems are always the first choice when permanent equipment fails at ice rinks.
The Lemax head office is located in Hong Kong. The Lemax factories are located in the province Quangdong. Over 5.000 people produce with proud more than 1.000.

How does an ice rink stay frozen? The most common method of refrigeration used in keeping an ice rink frozen is an indirect refrigeration system. This is where a liquid refrigerant (often ammonia) absorbs heat from a secondary liquid (often brine) which has absorbed heat from the source.
Glycol is an alcohol with two hydroxyl groups (OH). It stays liquid even at temperatures below zero degrees Celsius. It is often used in the pipes beneath ice rinks.
The ice is only about one inch thick when everything is finished. The official size of an NHL rink is 200 feet long and 85 feet wide. To make an ice sheet with this large surface area requires about 10,600 gallons of water. That`s about half the volume of a one-car garage.
Ice rink rubber flooring is elastic flooring typically made of synthetic rubber EPDM. This type of flooring is highly durable and is available in several material combinations. Ice rink rubber flooring is resistant to abrasion from ice skates and heavy loads.
There are two types of ice rinks in prevalent use today: natural ice rinks, where freezing occurs from cold ambient temperatures, and artificial ice rinks (or mechanically frozen), where a coolant produces cold temperatures in the surface below the water, causing the water to freeze.
White powdered paint is mixed with water in a large tank creating a liquid paint mix. This paint is then applied to the ice surface with a large 12-foot spray boom and a pump. Two to three coats are applied to cover the surface. This is then sealed in with fine water spray, which freezes.
Ice temperature is the one parameter that has the biggest effect on your energy consumption. For every 1ºF your ice temperature is increased will save about 2% of your total energy consumption. For any average ice rink, the optimum ice temperature is 26.6ºF.
Most ice rinks will keep the air temperature at a brisk 55-65 degrees and the on-ice temperature between 17 and 29 degrees. This temperature can affect how you skate, how often you cut your steel and what hollow or profile you choose.

Lemax buildings are mainly in the 1/64 to 1/48 range. A rare few are scaled larger. They are closest in scale to O, O27, ON30 and S gauge trains. Lemax Figurines tend to be about 60mm scale, which is closest in scale to G and Standard Gauge.
Hot water freezes faster than colder water simply because less of it has to turn into ice. If you`ve ever been to a hockey game and saw officials smoothing the ice on the rink, you might have noticed that they dump hot water, not cold, on the ice to take advantage of this effect.
They make ice all through the night, when temperatures cooler. Workers use a Zamboni 100 to resurface the ice and maintain the chilly sub-surface temperature. A worker smooths the ice on a zamboni in between sessions during Downtown on Ice at Pershing Square on Christmas Eve.
They have cooling systems buried inside them. Pipes full of supercooled chemicals keep everything solid. What is the reason that skating rinks don`t ever melt? They have refrigeration pipes in the ice connected to a large refrigeration machine that can keep the ice below freezing.
