The pinsetter can be turned on/off using the Stop/Run switches located at the back or front of each individual machine or on the String Pin Controller box.

The Brunswick A2 that has been on the market since the 1960s, and is still the number one choice for many bowling operators and mechanics because of its tried-and-true reliability.

noun. (formerly) a person stationed in the sunken area of a bowling alley behind the pins who places the pins in the proper positions, removes pins that have been knocked down, and returns balls to the bowlers.
In 1936 Gottfried Schmidt invented the mechanical pinsetter while with the AMF firm, which largely did away with pin setting as a manual profession, although a small number of bowling alleys still use human pinsetters. Bowling Pins, as seen on display within the exhibition, The Way We Work(ed).
A 200 game score may be accomplished by bowling only two strikes during an entire game. If a bowler gets all nine pin counts and one “double” (two consecutive strikes) during the first eleven frames, then a 200 will be reached. This is a guaranteed way of rolling a 200 plus score.
In bowling games that use 10 pins, such as ten-pin bowling, candlepin bowling, and duckpin bowling, the highest possible score is 300, achieved by bowling 12 strikes in a row in a traditional single game: one strike in each of the first nine frames, and three more in the tenth frame.
Bowling is unique in that the physical component of the game is only one small piece of a much larger puzzle. To improve performance, a bowler needs to work on mindset training, learn about equipment, understand lane play and ball motion, as well as work on their physical fitness.
Piquerism (from the French piquer – “to prick”) is a sexual interest in penetrating the skin of another person with sharp objects (such as pins, razors, knives, etc.). Sometimes, this is serious enough to cause extreme injuries or even death.
Pin as a boy`s name is of Vietnamese origin. Pin means “faithful and true”.
If a delivered ball should strike any Deadwood prior to hitting any wood or standing pins on the lane, then that ball is considered “dead” and any pins felled by it do not count to the bowler`s score.
Although easily taken for granted today, the automatic pinsetting machine caused quite a stir when it was introduced. The idea of a machine to replace pinboys predated the actual commercial introduction of the pinsetter by at least two decades.
So how do they work? Pinsetters are activated by a bunch of sensors that detect your ball as it approaches the pins. As soon as your ball knocks down the pins, the `sweep` comes down and acts as a barrier in front of the pins while the `pin table` is lowered onto the remaining pins.
The 7-10 split is widely considered the hardest shot in bowling, but guess what: Statistically, it`s not! According to a fascinating statistical analysis of professional bowlers` scores since 2003, the hardest shot in bowling is actually the 4-6-7-9-10 split, also known in bowling lingo as a “Greek Church”.
A 900 series refers to three consecutive perfect games bowled by an individual bowler. A 300 is a perfect score in one game, thus a player`s maximum possible score would be 900 in a series of three consecutive games (the typical number of games in a single league session).
If a ball lands in the region of one to three meters from the stumps, then it`s considered a yorker. This length stops the batters from getting underneath the ball thereby making it tougher to hit sixes. If you nail a yorker, you only concede at around run a ball.
A YORKER is a ball which pitches on the popping crease underneath the batsman`s bat. A full toss is a ball which doesn`t bounce.
Some Scoring Shortcuts

A strike followed by a spare earns 20 points in a frame. A spare followed by a strike earns 20 points in a frame. The maximum score in one frame is 30 which is achieved by rolling 3 consecutive strikes.

A game of all strikes–twelve strikes in a row–resulting in bowling`s maximum score of 300.

In bowling, a perfect game (in 10 pin at least) is 300 points – strikes in each of the first nine frames, and three in the tenth. If you`re bowling way below that, you may feel like you have a lot of practice before you see a higher bowling score.
A beginner bowler usually averages between 50-70 points in their first game while someone who is average can score between the range of 130-150. Those that are pretty good at bowling can get up to 200 points during their game.
The muscles mostly used in Bowling include the hips, the legs, and the abdominal region. Therefore the workouts target the lower and the upper body.
Muscle toning and strengthening: Bowling helps promote muscle exercise of the lower body, as you are doing a lot of walking with the extra weight of a bowling ball in your hands.
Will a Lapel Pin Ruin a Suit? We recommend avoiding pinning, as the lapel buttonhole typically holds pins and boutonnieres. Puncturing the fabric of a lapel is unadvisable for the garment and may permanently damage it.

My swimming pool. I have just had my fifth IC 40 Intellichlor chlorine generator installed in 4 years at a cost of over $900 today. Each one has worked for no more than 8 months. The first three were replaces under three year warranty, the fourth by a factory rep and I bought the fifth today. The first three all failed with Flow Chk PCB error message. The fourth just stopped working on Sunday, no power or lights. A local Pentair warranty person, whom I paid a Service Call, unplugged the unit, opened the small power center cover, showed me the green light indicating that there was power, plugged in a new IC 40 which worked immediately (as did the other four). I asked if I should replace the power center and he said that it’s basically just a transformer and is working fine. We do get occasional power blips that make the clocks on microwaves, etc blink, but I thought that the power center essentially isolates the cell from these. I do have a Florida Power and Light surge protector on the electrical box that brings power into the house. I have now talked to the pool builder, two Pentair warranty repairmen and one factory rep. I am at a loss. They all tell me they have no idea why these units fail after less than a year. This last IC 40 was installed 3/24/2010, version 2.0 and now failed in less than 5 months. Should I replace the power center that the IC 40 plugs into. Any other suggestions. I have been told that this is the best chlorinator. I don’t want to keep replacing units. By the way, each unit had been spotless inside. I keep the water chemicals and salt levels at ideal levels. The units have never worked long enough to get dirty inside. The power center is connected to an Intellitouch control system outside with an indoor control panel. Last time I called Pentair North Carolina and got some smart alec tech person that had no suggestions. Please Help if you can.
ANSWER : I’ve had the same experiance. On my fifth one as well. Fail every year. No idea why.

I have a TX500, never been used (just out of the box) and had to get an electrician to my home for this problem. It will start rolling but quits in a few seconds. The electrician believes that it is a problem in the sensor that rides at the belt. There is only one sensor in the pulley; he thinks that perhaps there should be two as there is a hole placement opposite the one that is in there. When the belt quits, it goes to a number 3 on the board which he thinks is the sensor as well. If he is correct, where do we get another magnet to place there? If he is not correct, please offer help. We did not get a owners manual in the box and surely could use one; where can we get one? Please help…thankyou
ANSWER : Hello,I believe the best thing to do at this point is to look for a way to get the manual of the device, this will give a full guide and better understanding on how to fix this problem.Check to search for the manual of the device, the link provides almost all manuals to all device.Take care.

I have a 2001 Yamaha XL700Z Waverunner. The compression on both cylinders is about 120, it starts and runs fine – dry. Won’t quite idle, but I can start it and rev it up fine (for a short period, of course). However, as soon as it gets in the water, it will barely run – it will start and sputter and you cannot get it to run more than a few seconds or rev up. Take it back out, let it dry, starts & revs fine. It is not getting any water in the casing that I can tell, its almost as if water is getting something wet through the cooling system that I cannot see?
ANSWER : Try cleaning the carbs and the fuel lines, filter

Trying to install a new fluro light, pull out old light to find 3 reds and 3 blacks 1 copper earth. What do I do to connect it up the right way??? When I pulled the old Fluro light out the 3 Reds were joined together with a connector ,two blacks were joined to one end of light wire, the other to the other end of the light wire, earth wire to the light case, the third black wire was connected to the wire from the ballast? Does this all make sense
ANSWER : No, this does not make sense but I have seen strange wiring before. There is power going from the light someplace else. Just connect it back up exactly as the old light was connected. It worked before so it will work again. If it works it is wired correctly. Without being there to check which wire was the hot wire and which was neutral it is impossible for me to say what is what. Make sure you connect the ground wire to the light chassis.

I am trying to remove the power steering cylinder on a massey fergerson 255 and cant’t get the ram end pin out hgow does it come out is there a special puller if so whaere can i get one
ANSWER : Before doing anything be sure all pressure is released from the cylinder. Loosen or remove the hydraulic lines on each end of the hydraulic cylinder as this will allow all pressure to escape. You may be able to unscrew the gland without removing either end of the hydraulic cylinder assembly from its end connections. In this case we needed the room so we pulled the pin from the piston rod end. Using the new tool, the gland is unscrewed from the hydraulic cylinder. In some cases a slight tap or bump with a hammer may be applied to the tool to break the gland loose. Once loosened, the gland should unscrew easily and pull away from the hydraulic cylinder if there is room on the piston rod. With the gland removed, pull the piston rod from the cylinder. Large hydraulic cylinders may have to be supported to keep them straight while removing the piston rod. A winch is sometimes used for large cylinders but is not required in most cases. Try to keep the piston rod from falling into the dirt or against other metal objects when it pulls out of the cylinder.

When the piston rod is free put the rod end back into its pin connection and unscrew the retaining bolt which holds the piston to the rod. In extreme cases this bolt may have to be heated if a thread locking substance has been used in a prior rebuilding process. Try not to heat the piston no more than necessary and this should work well. Place the parts in order and take a photo or two for later reference if needed.
To do this a “U shaped ” Tool is required. To see the tool how it looks. Please click on the link directly. This tool can not be easily available with auto parts store. You will have to check out or will have to get it made. From the part store.Show then the picture of the tool for exact tool.
