Experienced athletes share their insights in answering this question:
CO2 tanks are composed of liquid carbon dioxide and are used for many
scenario and recreation players. When the trigger is pulled, the liquid CO2 is converted
to a gas, and this expansion of gas propels the paintball forward at 800-850
psi. CO2 tanks do not work as well in colder weather or for fully automatic
paintball guns

How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

CO2 tanks are filled through the valve and must be completely drained before filling for a proper fill. Compressed air tanks are pressurized via a fill nipple on the side of the tank regulator.
In the paintball industry aluminum compressed air paintball tanks are always 3000 PSI. Carbon fiber tanks on the other hand are much more expensive, but come in many more size, are much lighter and they are able to hold up to 4500 PSI.
It`s the pressure of the gas within the tank propelling the paintball. The three most common gases used are nitrogen (N), high pressure air (HPA), and carbon dioxide (CO2).
Nitrogen is the gas which is present in air in maximum quantity i.e. about 78% of concentration. Carbon dioxide is a molecule which is triatomic. It is a chemical element which is present in the group 15 in the modern periodic table. Carbon dioxide has one carbon atom and two oxygen atoms bonded covalently.
Refillable 20-ounce capacity tank BUILT FOR PAINTBALL. Lightweight, high-quality, durable, aluminum body for approximately 800-1000 shots per fill! Compatible with all standard CO2-powered paintball guns.
CO2 can be used to produce fuels and chemical intermediates through several conversion routes but require significant energy input.
Paintball Tank Types

Most modern electronic or mechanical markers run on compressed air; cheaper or older-style mechanical markers can often run on either Co2 or compressed air*. Pistols normally run on pre-filled disposable co2 cartridges.

Generally paintball is divided into either its original incarnation woodsball, or the small arena-based and tournament de facto speedball. Amongst these paintball game types, variations of basic rules can be played.
The largest common tanks hold around 20 ounces. As a result, some tanks that hold the same amount of CO2 can be different sizes.
Nitrogen Regulator

A CO2 regulator will not properly attach to a Nitrogen tank. If you want to dispense a nitro beer without investing in a Nitrogen regulator, you can purchase a CO2 to nitrogen adapter piece instead.

Nitrogen can function as a substitute for carbon dioxide (CO2) in a broad variety of applications. With today`s industry wide reduced CO2 availability due to curtailment of available supply and rising CO2 prices due to increased demand and higher transportation costs, processors are looking for alternative solutions.
The vapor of liquid nitrogen can rapidly freeze skin tissue and eye fluid, resulting in cold burns, frostbite, and permanent eye damage even by brief exposure.
As we mentioned above, the food and beverage industry trusts nitrogen as a CO2 alternative. It`s the go-to gas choice to remove oxygen from all types of packed goods, including beer. When purging tanks, nitrogen makes the tank oxygen-free, thus preventing oxidation and subsequent contamination.
Carbon dioxide is generally heavier than oxygen and nitrogen.
The main advantage of compressed air is that it will perform more consistently than CO2, especially during high-speed shooting. It will also not be as affected as CO2 by environmental conditions like temperature, making it a much better choice for paintballing outdoors in cooler weather.
The CO2 tanks we supply are entirely refillable, so before your next game, you can simply send your paintball CO2 tanks back and get a refill. Depending on the specifications of your paintball gun, you should get an average of 1056 shots for every KG of CO2 you have.
Are Paintball Sized 20oz CO2 tanks food grade, or do they contain residual oils and metal shavings from the manufacturer? In short the answer is Yes. They are originally manufactured for paintball use, but have been cleaned so that they are safe to use for food and beverage use.
The JT 90 gram prefilled CO2 will work with most paintball markers. This 2pk of single use CO2 can get up to 300 shots depending on usage.
Paintball cylinders need to be retested for its serviceability every three to five years. They also only have a lifespan of 15 years. HYDROSTATIC TEST or HYDROTEST – The tank is visually inspected for cracks then is pressurized with water to look for a drop in pressure or to see if there are any leaks.
Most people assume that compressed air and CO2 refer to the same thing. So, is compressed air CO2? No, it`s not. However, carbon dioxide can be compressed like regular air, and although both are gasses, the majority of their similarities end there.
3-on-3 format with 3 minutes per game as teams attempt to hit their opponents buzzer. Teams will play against 8 different opponents in the preliminaries, then compete in a “win or go home” best of 2 out of 3 scenario on into the next rounds.
Low impact paintballs are (. 50 inches in diameter) smaller, lighter and more fragile than the traditional (. 68 caliber) paintball. These specific paintballs deliver less sting upon impact making the experience more fun!
The Material and Weight

CO2 Cylinders tend to come in different sizes, most of them ranging from 10-50 lbs. The materials used to manufacture them are different as well.

CO2 Tank Safety Concerns

While the cylinders or tanks are designed to withstand pressure and damage, the pipes, hoses, and fittings used to distribute the gas after the vessel are not. CO2 cylinder pressure is about 860 psi at normal room temperature. Typical CO2 cylinders store about 50 lbs. of liquid CO2.

My paintball wont stop shooting but it has nothing to do with the co2 tank help?
ANSWER : The first answer is semi-correct. The striker has an oring on it that creates a seal. This seal makes enough pressure for the blowback from the valve push the striker back to reset. Tippmann may send you a replacement striker Oring, or they may not, but you can buy an oring kit easily and cheaply enough on amazon or eBay. If you carefully read the manual, you should be capable of taking the gun apart and fixing it yourself.

Paintball gun problem
ANSWER : First off, make sure it’s clean, and lubed with a quality oil made for paintball. If you’re sure the o-rings are good (as in relatively new) it’s pretty hard to tell just from looking as it doesn’t take a lot of damage to leak air.Try a different tank, just to be sure. Make sure it’s full.**** it. If that stops it there’s a clue. If it’s had some use it’s possible to have a bad/weak spring and the valve isn’t closing entirely. Make sure your velocity is less then 300fps. Check out your local airsmith or field and they should be able to get you squared away if none of that helps.Good luck!

Play hard, play safe, play with honor!
