If Only One Bearing Is Bad, Do I Have To Replace Them Both? No. Your car`s wheel bearings are entirely separate, and a failure in one bearing does not affect the others. You only need to replace the bearing that has failed.
The symptoms of bad wheel bearings include: Noise: A humming, rumbling or growling noise that increases with acceleration or as the vehicle turns. A loud constant whining or grinding noise when the vehicle is in motion.
While it may seem like common sense, standard wear and tear is one of the leading causes of bearing failure. Eventually all bearings fail due to wear, however, excessive load, vibration or force can cause a bearing to wear out long before it should. The smoothness or quietness of a bearing can be checked by accelerometers which measure bearing vibration at the outer ring, usually with the inner ring rotating at 1800 rpm. To understand how bearing vibration is measured, it is important to understand how vibration works.
The majority of bearing failures occur because of improper lubrication. Lubrication failure can occur if the wrong lubricant is used, if not enough lubricant is applied, or if the bearing has been exposed to excessive temperatures that have caused the lubricant to degrade.
Your wheel bearing may have been damaged slightly in the past and has now worn to the point it is starting to make noise. Your mechanic is correct in that the only repair for the bearing is to replace the hub. It is a sealed unit and cannot be disassembled without destroying it.

ANSWER : Here is owner manual:http://apache.ariens.com/manuals/030305C.pdfusually the switch is behind the ignition, sometimes at the N position of gearshift, just look for a switch with one wire coming in & one going out (usually the same color); disconnect the two wires & jumper them together to bypass the switch. Looks like yours has one under the seat.

Yes, please advise where I can get replacement parts for our Stanley Cup Regent Air Hockey Table. I emailed them and Hedstrom has taken over Regent Sports ( Gone out of business ) and has only limited parts. Of course they don’t have the part I need, which is a Goal Sensor. It’s part #22 on model # 50457, any help would be Greatly Appreciated.
