Replace all of the o-rings within the gun make sure that the striker pin is free to move. The striker pin is the one that the big striker hits, it is on the inside of the pressure tube.

How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

When you screw in a paintball gun gas tank and find that there is a significant amount of air leaking around the air source adapter (ASA) fitting, the problem invariably comes from a damaged O-ring. Fix this problem by removing the existing O-ring (size 015) and replace it with a new one.
Dry Firing PCP and CO2 Air Rifles

Dry firing PCP or CO2 air rifles will usually be completely safe, as there isn`t a piston to worry about. You`re simply releasing a short spurt of air/CO2 to force the pellet up the barrel.

It has been known that CO2 cylinders can explode if they become too hot [2]. Pressure inside the cylinder starts increasing when it is stored in areas sunlight. Each cylinder has a valve on top, and a steel cap is screwed over the valve to protect it from damage.
CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) was the first propellant used in paintball and set the standard for many years. For paintball purposes we use it in two types of vessels, 12 Gram Cartridges (used in paintball pistols such as the Tiberius and Miltec and stockclass pump markers like the Phantom) and refillable CO2 Tanks.
BB GUN KIT: A BB air gun kit for adults and kids. Includes one BB gun, one pack of ammo (250 steel BB pistols), and one gel target for easy and fun shooting. NO CO2 NEEDED: Enjoy tons of shooting fun with the high powered 1911 BB Pistol Kit from Bear River.
Dry firing most centerfire rifles and handguns is generally safe. There are a few exceptions, like older pistols, with the key being the durability of the firing pin. When dry fired, the firing pin on centerfire rifles and some semiautomatic weapons travels until it hits the end of the channel.
HOW LONG DOES THE CO2 CARTRIDGE LAST? Once penetrated on the first trigger pull, the CO2 cartridge will last 24 hours or 21 shots.
The most common gas used for airsoft guns is propane or “green gas.” Another type of gas used is CO2, which can be used for both rifles and pistols. On a side note, CO2 guns tend to shoot at a higher FPS than green gas guns. Other less commonly used gas types are HFC134a refrigerant and nitrogen.
Reliably Powerful – Each 12g CO2 cartridge can deliver a minimum of 30 shots and a maximum of 200 shots, depending on the C02 powered device you use. However, these CO2 cartridges 12 gram can give you 20 to 30 good shots at once.
Contrary to what one might expect, the most severe freeze-up condition with CO2 exists on warm days when a full cylinder is at 90°F or higher and the cylinder pressure is at least 1100 psig.
CO2 molecules can be split through a few other processes, too. Some methods are actually low-carbon, using new chemical catalysts or photocatalysts to trigger chemical reactions that can break apart CO2 without applying high heat.
Are Paintball Sized 20oz CO2 tanks food grade, or do they contain residual oils and metal shavings from the manufacturer? In short the answer is Yes. They are originally manufactured for paintball use, but have been cleaned so that they are safe to use for food and beverage use.
All semi automatic air rifles use CO2 as their power source.
While the gas in the CO2 cylinder does not expire, our cylinders need to be checked for quality assurance purposes by a certain date, which can be found at the bottom of cylinder. For best use, we recommend storing your cylinder at room temperature.
The Department of Transportation (DOT) requires that most portable CO2 tanks, both new and used, be re-certified every five years. Nitrogen and other high pressure inert gas cylinders generally have a 10 year re-certification requirement (although there are exceptions).
do airsoft co2 cartridges expire? – 12g Umarex Co2 cartridges, like tinned food, have an expiration date. As long as they are not punctured in any way, the Co2 should last for an indefinite period of time.
Therefore, although airsoft and BB guns are illegal in New York City, they are generally not legally considered to be a firearm, and therefore the penalties are substantially lower compared to when a person possesses a traditional firearm in New York City without the proper licensing and is charged with a gun crime.
Can I dry fire my GLOCK pistol? It`s ok to dry fire your GLOCK pistol, but we recommend using a snap cap or dummy round if you will be dry firing for a long period of time.
For example, if you drop your cartridge near a steel object and it lands at the perfect angle with enough force, the bullet could go off. When there`s enough force, the impact on the primer would mimic the impact of a firing pin after the trigger of a gun is pulled.
While it is true that Green Gas is easier on the gun, and more affordable, that doesn`t mean that Co2 is worthless. CO2 is going to kick harder, shoot faster, and work better in colder temperatures. Due to it`s higher pressure, a CO2 powered pistol will kick much harder than a green gas weapon.
The P-430 CO2 powered air pistol shoots both . 177 caliber pellets and BBs at 495 feet per second.
All CO2 guns eventually start to leak over time. You have control solely over the rate of loss which thankfully can be minimized by fixing the leakage. Besides just replacing the bb gun gas canisters, there are other ways through which you can fix the leak.
177 calibre ammunition has the most effective range of any air gun pellet size. A . 177 air rifle is likely to shoot around 60 to 80 yards. However, the range may be affected by various factors, such as the brand of pellet and your shooting stance.

Hello, i think i figured out what it was, after breaking down the valve again i was looking at the rubber that is around the valves and i was thinking at first this wasnt an extra part, but come to find out after many hours of researching online it is an peice that comes off but its just glued on, its a (Spider) gasket. So do u think if nothing is wrong with the valve itself that if the spider gasket is wearing away and starting to get britle that it will let the debris i vacuum up come back in the pool and let the backwash valve leak when its on the filter position? I cant thank u enough for helping me. You sure have lead me in the right direction and saved me alot of money. Otherwise i would of probably gave up and bought another one….thanks and let me know if u think that the buying a spider gasket will solve my problems
ANSWER : The spider gasket that you refer to is what seals the chambers from each other. Leaking here can have a large impact on how well the valve is able to do its job. But, I don’t remember seeing one in the parts diagram. If you are able to obtain one, then by all means, replace it if you can. As I said earlier, you are essentially rebuilding the valve assembly. If something looks worn, now is the time to repair / replace it during reassembly. I also have a suggestion for you as well. Take good pictures, document everything that you do when you disassemble and reassemble the valve. Then write up a tip (gotta become an expert) for others to read through and be able to service their own equipment. I was surprised to see that there were as many other questions asked about the same filter that you have. Highly recommend that you do this. As many times as you have taken this apart and put it back together, you are fast becoming an authority on it!Glad to see that you are sticking it through, and not throwing in the towel. After all is said and done, you will have a working knowledge of how your filter works, and be able to identify issues in the future before they become a problem. Congratulations!

Mar 12, 2010 – Could it be the check valve? I took it off and the flap appears to be working correctly. This well has been here a long time. Never given me any problems. I do have galvenized couplers on the discharge and intake sides. Old. Could these be leaking even though they show no sign of water? The discharge is able to hold 30 pounds easily overnight. I do not hear any vacuum in the intake when I take it off. Could the pipe to the well have a leak? I know I would have to insert a sleeve bnut I do not want to go through the hassle if I do not have to. I had put on a brand new pump from the hardware store that did the same thing so I think that would elliminate the pump as being the problem.
Mar 12, 2010 – I have a 3/4hp flotec convertible jet pump. It is able to hold 30lbs pressure on the discharge side as the primie easily for 24 hours. It is not able to pull water from the well whcih has been here for years. i disconnected it for the winter and rehooked it up. The galvanized couplers on the discharge and pump side are old but do not appear to be leakeing as I taped them well. The check valve seems to be functioning well as I took it off and the flap works correctly. The well is not pulling watrer. there does not appear to be a vacuum on the check vale when I losen it. could the check valve be bad? I am aware I might have to resleeve the well, but do not want to hassle with this if I do not have to. I want to eliminate everything else first. i put another brand new pump on it to see if it was that. That partiuclar pump which was the same thng did not work either.

ANSWER : Your well has gone dry it seems. It has happened to my before. At first the new pump I purchased that did not pump I took back for exchange and still no water. I finally gave in and called the well experts and I was told the well was dried up

ANSWER : The starter solenoid is not engaging to flywheel. Its faulty starter and it has to be replaced. The starter solenoid is worn out, so its not engaging to flywheel. The solenoid is part of the starter assembly. So instead of only solenoid replaced getting starter replaced is advisable.———-

My gun just beeps when i pull the trigger even when hooked up to hpa.battery is new.last time i used the gun just before it messed up i had it hooked to o2 and it would fire then beep ,i have a anti syphon tube installed to. the air shot out the asa instead of the reg when i took off the tank.usually gun holds air with tank off then you shoot it to get rid of stored air, this time it shot out the asa????
ANSWER : You have probably messed up your solenoid, did you fire the marker straight up with the o2? I would make sure that all of the board settings are back to factory default especially the dwell and reattempt with compressed air. If the marker is still not firing get your hands on a new solenoid for it.

My tippmann a5 is spraying air through the barrel as soon as i screw the tank in. i have taken it apart and put it back together several times and every thing looks right.
ANSWER : My first look would be at the tank. Low pressure?Next is lubrication and clean marker. Next would be bad o-ring. If it’s been a while since you’ve changed an o-ring in the marker I’d suggest a kit and change them all out at once. Then you know they’re all good! It doesn’t take much for an o-ring to be damaged and even harder to see with the naked eye. 8^)Good luck!

Play hard, play safe, play with honor!
