Instant tents are tents that are designed to be set up quickly and easily. The tent set up typically takes less than a minute and instant tents can be set up by yourself. Instant tents come with pre-attached tent poles which saves you having to loop the tent poles through the fabric loops.
Unlike freestanding models, non-freestanding tents require staking out to keep their shape. To set up, non-freestanding tents are first staked out and then typically propped up with trekking poles (some, like the Tarptent Double Rainbow, use a single tent pole instead).
Pop up tents have spring loaded tent poles which come pre-attached to the body of the tent. The tent bag keeps these springs compressed and the tent folded, but when you take it out of the bag the springs force the tent poles to extend.
A wall tent, also known as a canvas tent, outfitter tent, safari tent, or sheep herder tent is a type of tent that has four straight vertical walls that provide more headroom than traditional pyramid-shaped tents.

An 8×10 tent can sleep four to eight people, depending on age and body size. This could be a good option for two adult couples or a family with kids, likely fitting multiple air mattresses and sleeping bags with room to spare for stashing belongings on the sides.
Sufficiently weighted canopies will have at least 24 pounds per leg. One canopy manufacturer recommends at least 40 pounds on each corner of a 10×10 tent; double that on a 10×20 tent. 50 pounds should be used for umbrellas.
Ten-Person Tent

Six adults and gear can also fit pretty comfortably, but anymore and you might feel like a pack of sardines. The floor area for this size is a massive 150 to 180 square feet. If you are going to a campground, be sure they offer campsites that can accommodate this size tent.

The word “tent” comes from the Latin word tendere meaning “to stretch” – as in a piece of material stretched tautly across a frame. Tents are typically, but not always, thought of as portable shelters and it has been that way for a long time.
Ventilation must ensure a steady supply of fresh air/oxygen (for reasons of both safety and sleep), as well as control condensation out of the tent. The ventilation system must be able to do this in two ways: through ventilation and ventilation.
Mesh Door – Many tents incorporate a mesh door which allows light and air to get inside. It also prevents insects from entering the tent. 2. Tub Floor – This waterproof material is fitted to the size and shape of your tent floor.
Sometimes referred to as table tents, tent cards are essentially mini billboards and can be a highly effective method for displaying a company`s marketing message, when placed in highly-visible areas. A tent card is a convenient, self-standing promotional unit created from printed and folded cardstock.
Free Standing Tent. Unlike other tents, frame tents are free standing, which means that they aren`t reliant on precisely placed ropes and stakes to hold them up or give them shape. The construction of frame tent begins with building an aluminum framework or skeleton.
A groundsheet is critical for staying dry. If you don`t use one, and it rains even a bit, you will most likely wake up wet and profoundly unhappy. However, a solid tent plus a groundsheet can keep you dry in light rains or even moderate drizzles.
