If the battery runs out in the safe, it is as easy as possible to open it. Attach a new battery to the terminals on the lock panel, observing the polarity. Then enter the code combination and the device will open.
While it is inconvenient, being locked out of your safe because of a dead battery is only a temporary problem. You can rest assured that once you replace the battery in your lock, your combination code will still be there.
Safe with key override: opening up a safe with an override key is fairly simple. Access the override lock, which is usually hidden behind a removable panel beside the keypad. Then, simply replace the battery pack behind the door.
It is possible to change the combination on your safe lock. However, depending on whether you have a mechanical or electronic lock will determine the route you`ll need to take to get the job done.
The simplest solution is to reset the code. Depending on the manufacturer and type of safe, you may be able to enter an override code, or your locksmith may be able to access a reset switch inside the safe with a special tool. Lockout Mode or Time Delay
Many safes go into penalty lockout mode if too many wrong codes are entered. Depending on the type of keypad, it typically emits a rapid series of beeps. If this happens, wait 10 to 20 minutes, and try again. Your safe also may have a time delay.
Digital locks normally operating using 1.5VAA alkaline type batteries. Use alkaline battery type. Alkaline batteries are commonly used for many household items. Alkaline type batteries are coming under many types.
One safe may go into lockout mode after one failed attempt where other safes may give you up to 5 attempts before it locks you out completely. There is no universal setting for when a safe will go into lockout mode.
The best solution is to ask a professional locksmith for help. These technicians have all the tools and know-how to open your lock without the code and then they`ll reset your combination.
Most new safes come with an override code of 0000 or 9999.
Combination locks may conjure images of safes often seen in movies with a numbered dial to spin and input the right sequence. These types of locks are known as mechanical combination locks where only people with the right code can access the safe`s contents, and what`s best is that no keys need to be managed.
You can visit a Master Lock Distributor / Retailer or submit a Lost Combination form. Bring your lock to the retailer. Be sure that it is not attached to anything. If you do not bring the lock, or it is attached to something, we will not release the combination.
Batteries can become worn down in as little as three years
After three years, it`s normally time to install a replacement. After four or five years, most car batteries will be almost completely unreliable. Old car batteries can present a number of safety and reliability issues.

You can jump-start the dead vehicle and drive it to let the alternator replenish the battery charge. Alternatively, you can attach the dead battery to a battery charger. If the car battery voltage is under 12.2V, you may want to use a trickle charger to avoid battery overcharging or overheating.
However, you may not be able to start your vehicle after it`s powered off. But if the alternator isn`t functioning properly and the battery dies, your car may eventually lose power and stall or completely shut off.
Some cars will get up to five or six years out of their battery, while others will need a new one after only two years. In general, your car will usually need a new battery after three to four years. Replacing your car battery is another part of routine maintenance.
When disconnecting the cables from the old battery, disconnect the negative first, then the positive. Connect the new battery in the reverse order, positive then negative.”
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery and positive and negative battery terminals. Disconnect the negative terminal first, then the positive terminal. Lift the battery out of the battery tray and place it in a safe place.

I bought a new mossberg 590 a1 shot gun a month ago, I love the gun but its having a couple of problems, the first problem is that when shooting every once in a while i get sprayed in the face with exuast from shooting through the safety very scary! any ideas whats causing this? how to fix it? second is that some times the fireing pin sticks and the gun will not discharge a round? the third problem is that i have had feeding issues with gun where it will not realice a gound from the tube, ive taken a tip of a knife to the stuck round in the tube and it prys out with little effort, these problems dont happen every time i go shooting, just every once in a while, but they a happening more and more, im conserned cause the gun is brand new, and i wanna be safe while shooting, can you guys help me? any ideas/solutions? please help!!!!!!!
ANSWER : Personally, with that many problems, I’d call Mossberg and get a return authorization. None of these things should be happening, especially with a new gun.

Need the wire diagram to rewire my Ariens lawnmover to bypass the safety switch. It is Ariens GT-19 model # 931026 Serial # 001463.

The local Ariens dealer said I need to go through the internet and get the wire diagram as they cannot give it to me directly. ANSWER : Here is owner manual:http://apache.ariens.com/manuals/030305C.pdfusually the switch is behind the ignition, sometimes at the N position of gearshift, just look for a switch with one wire coming in & one going out (usually the same color); disconnect the two wires & jumper them together to bypass the switch. Looks like yours has one under the seat.

”The protector” gun safe I need a user manual
ANSWER : If it is “The Protector” from Costco, open the door and put your hand back by the top of the rear of the door in the seam. There you should feel a little button, push and hold til it beeps then enter your 4 digit code, hit “A” and release. Lock the wheel with door open and make sure your new code works.Good luck!
