Zippers with two-handle sliders are especially good for sewing into your tent to replace the old zipper, since they allow for access from both inside and outside the tent door.
Most tent zippers have a sewn-in stop to keep the zipper from opening at the end. Use your pliers to gently remove the seam before you begin working. Pull the slider off of the track. Once you remove the stop, you can pull the slider off of the track and set it aside.
And, of course, your tailor can repair a broken zipper, so you can bring that old skirt back out of retirement.
Although zippers are an ingenious feat of engineering, they are surprisingly simple to fix as long as you have the right tools. All you need to do is remove the broken zipper slider and replace it using our Zipper Repair Kit, which includes the most common zipper sizes along with all the sewing tools you`ll need.
Never let a broken zipper be the reason you discard an entire item, because fixing it yourself is a lot easier than you might think. In most cases, a broken, stubborn or stuck zipper can be remedied using just some household lubricant, a pair of pliers, and a little patience.
There are so many variations to zippers and zipper replacement that it is difficult to give you a flat rate without explaining my strategy to you. But typically, a zipper replacement can cost anywhere from $8-$75 (or more).
A zipper sewn in by hand is a beautiful thing. Sometimes it`s a necessary thing too. But never is it daunting or frustrating. I`ll put in a zipper by hand especially if it`s a centered back zipper.
No matter what is wrong with your zipper, a cobbler is a master zipper-fixer and can help! Cobblers Direct always keeps a wide variety of zipper pulls, new zippers, and extra patience on hand to face any zipper dilemma.
A: It means that If the zipper (after being closed or zipped) were to come apart (the closed zipper teeth)… You could simply unzip and rezip the bag and it would close (or self heal). Helpful?
The most likely reason is that the slide is loose and unable to close the teeth anymore. Another possibility is that the teeth are out of line and won`t latch together.

If the pull is broken on your zipper, the best solution is to replace the zipper pull. If you`re fine with not using an actual pull, you can use any number of temporary replacements, including a safety pin, keyring, or paperclip. Simply slide it through the slider`s tab to attach the new pull to the zipper.

ANSWER : The 2 longest of the poles go in an x over the center of the tent and the 2 shorter ones go arch to the sides. http://www.wenzelco.com/details.aspx?NavID=412shows a picture very similar to your tent. If you go to image 2 it shows it with out the fly. now if you got 2 sets of 4 poles, 2 long and 2 short, and one set is all aluminum, then I would go with the aluminum set. It is less likely to collapse in high winds.

Need to fix regulator for coleman stove 5410708
ANSWER : Just where the regulator attaches to the burner there is a small nut that may be loose. If you look closely at this and turn the regulator (stove off and hose detached!) you may see the nut hat turns easily. Tighten it and make sure the regulator does not rotate too freely, but still turns to adjust when attached to the hose or the smaller gas cartridge, if using that. Test carefully after this.
