How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

In November 2014 Humminbird launched Helix 5, the first in a new family of fishfinders with an ultra-bright screen, pro-level features, and a real-world price.
Sensitivity and contrast go hand in hand. Humminbird fish finders, for example, come pre-configured at “10 and 10,” which simply meads a level 10 setting on a range of 0-20. The 10 halfway setting is optimal in most situations.
All you need to do is look for an icon on the screen, read the depth at which the icon is displayed, and cast! It`s so simple. If you see a large rock on your Fish-ID fish finder, and expect a certain species to be found around there, then that`s where you would cast.
Check for proper transducer installation, according to the Operations Manual. If the depth sounder reads correctly at slow speeds but not at high speeds, the problem is usually with the installation. Make sure the transducer has not “kicked up”. If it has, simply reset the transducer by snapping it back in its bracket.
As a rule of thumb, use frequencies below 140 kHz when fishing very deep water (over 1500 feet). Between 600 and 1500 feet, frequencies between 100 kHz and 160 kHz tend to work well. For anything 600 feet or shallower, you should use higher frequencies – over 160 kHz.
The new MEGA Imaging frequencies have the highest available frequency of the common imaging frequencies (455 kHz, 800 kHz, 1200 kHz), which means that MEGA Imaging has the best resolution or target separation.
MAKING EVERY CAST COUNT

Through it all, there`s been one constant: U.S.-based design, engineering, manufacturing and technical support. From our home base in Eufaula, AL, we are here to help anglers make the most of every minute on the water.

All screen sizes are fully networkable, including Ethernet, Bluetooth, NMEA 2000 and Wi-Fi, and offer models with multiple sonar technology options.
Get unparalleled GPS technology out of the box. Many of Humminbird`s fish finders have our powerful Precision GPS/WAAS receiver built right in, providing fast position fixes accurate within 2.5 meters.
Since the working voltage of Humminbird sounders is between 10V and 20V, a Humminbird can be used with either a battery from the Angling line or the AV line. With the AV line, you can optionally select the DC stabilizer for longer runtime.
Active sonar transducers emit an acoustic signal or pulse of sound into the water. If an object is in the path of the sound pulse, the sound bounces off the object and returns an “echo” to the sonar transducer. If the transducer is equipped with the ability to receive signals, it measures the strength of the signal.
In the fishing industry, a Sonar is used to detect fish, structure, and the seafloor around the vessel, while a fish finder detects these objects directly under the vessel. A Sonar detects these objects by emitting ultrasonic waves into the sea and detecting the reflected echoes.
Insert the SD/Micro SD card in the card reader on your PC. Right click on the drive that corresponds with the card you just inserted. A window will pop up and provide a warning that all content on the card will be erased if you continue, left click on “OK” to proceed and finish formatting.
It is not recommended to run a FishFinder and transducer on a boat that is not in the water as you will not get any readings from the transducer.
Frequencies commonly used by a conventional fish finder for recreational boat are 50 kHz (low frequency) and 200 kHz (high frequency). A lower frequency has a wider search angle and area. Generally, the searchable angle of 50 kHz beams is approximately 50 degrees and that of 200 kHz beams is approximately 15 degrees.
The chirp 200 kHz frequency gives you a smaller but more accurate view of what is happening under the water, and the chirp 77 kHz frequency scans a bigger area but with less detail. If you can`t decide, the STRIKER also offers a split screen option so you can use both frequencies at the same time.
Also, in general terms, 800 kHz will provide a slightly higher resolution image than 455 kHz. Under most circumstances, this will be most obvious when inspecting the image of a piece of structure; those images *may* appear slightly clearer (sharper, or less fuzzy along the fringes) when using 800 kHz.
Down scan and side scan operate on 455kHz and 800kHz. A 455kHz cone angle has a greater coverage under water but will return an image with less definition. This is beneficial when scouting new country for the first time. An 800kHz cone angle will get a narrower coverage but with greater detail.
The detection range is from 10 to 2400m (divided into 15-steps) and there are two types of Sonar: Single Frequency Sonar and Dual Frequency Sonar.
The difference between a fish finder and a Sonar

While Fish Finders can detect echoes under the ship, Sonars can detect schools of fish all around the ship, making it one of the most efficient way to search for fish.

Thanks to solid state technology, Humminbird radar is safe, reliable and lightweight. At 12.3 lbs, the radar unit weighs 50% less than traditional magnetron radars and offers safe emissions with a low power radar transmitter. It`s also ready to use in seconds, without a lengthy warm-up period.
This is 2.12 volts per cell.
The answer to this question is model and software version specific. SDHC is compatible with all APEX. HELIX, ONIX, ION, SOLIX, 300, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900 and1100 Series products with color displays at software version 3.7×0 or higher. On monochrome 700 series you would need version 3.8×0 and higher.

Need the wire diagram to rewire my Ariens lawnmover to bypass the safety switch. It is Ariens GT-19 model # 931026 Serial # 001463.
Can you help? It is an old Ariens mower but still runs good but now I need to bypass the safety switch in order to run it any longer. The local Ariens dealer said I need to go through the internet and get the wire diagram as they cannot give it to me directly. They told me I needed the wire diagram and the part involved in bypassing the safety switch. Hope this is all the information you need to help me.

Thank you. Roger Fielitz

ANSWER : Here is owner manual:http://apache.ariens.com/manuals/030305C.pdfusually the switch is behind the ignition, sometimes at the N position of gearshift, just look for a switch with one wire coming in & one going out (usually the same color); disconnect the two wires & jumper them together to bypass the switch. Looks like yours has one under the seat.
