The BTU of your grill is a reflection of the total heat output of all burners per hour. This number, however, is reserved for the main or primary burners – the ones located directly beneath the cooking grate.
Burners with a mid-sized BTU range between 2,000 and 10,000 are good options for everyday cooking like sauteing and frying, and high BTU burners, which range from 12,000 and 18,000 BTU, are useful for high-heat cooking like searing and stir-frying.

Gas stove parts include knobs, burners, burner caps, removable grates and electronic control panels that allow you to control the temperature of the oven and the level of flame on the stovetop.

If your burners are rusting or flaking or you`re noticing inconsistent heat or uneven flames, it`s time to replace your burners. Replacing the burners in your gas grill is one of the easiest ways to solve these problems and breath new life into your grill.
In Natural Gas lines, the gas pressure is typically 5″ to 7″ WC, but the furnace usually operates at pressures of 3.2″ to 3.7″ WC. The optimum setting can be found on the furnace rating plate. Depending on the altitude, a lower pressure may need to be set.
It could be a worn-out spark module, a loose wire or other connection, a dead battery, corrosion or dirt on the igniter tip, or cracked porcelain on the igniter element. If the grill doesn`t light using the match, check for low or no gas flow. Your problem could be as simple as a low gas tank.

Using a Pan That Is Smaller Than the Burner

A smaller pot on larger burner generates less power. For example, if you are using an 8” pan on an 11” burner, it will not output its full power to the pan on high, and it will take longer to boil water.

Inshot burner: The inshot burner is one of the most common burner types today. Operation of an inshot burner is simple. Pressurized fuel enters through a valve and rushes through an orifice, which meters the quantity of fuel.
Burners Information. Burners are heating devices that use air supplied specifically for the combustion of a fuel gas. They consist of a head that distributes and directs the flame, a body where gases are passed to the head, and a valve assembly where the proportions of the gas/air mix and volume are controlled.

While a standard gas grill heats the air to produce an ambient temperature inside the grill and the heated air is what cooks your food, infrared gas grills heat only solid objects—like a piece of meat—rather than the air surrounding them. This allows them to get up to temperature more quickly and cook food faster.
Cast stainless steel burners are the best for resisting rust out of all stainless grill burners. Also, with the cast stainless being thicker than standard stainless burners these cast burners absorb and distribute heat evenly.
Burners and Ignitor

The source of your fire lies in your burners and ignitors. Generally, ignitors can be replaced for under $20. On the other hand, burners will be more expensive and sometimes come with a price tag of over $100.

Many people think it`s the amount of charcoal you use, but the answer lies with the air dampers. Adjusting the air dampers will increase or decrease your temperature. The more air going into the grill, the hotter the grill will get. The less air going into your grill, the cooler it will get.
The gas valve may need to be adjusted if the reading is low or high. All gas valves have an adjustment screw. To increase, turn it clockwise with the heater running and manometer attached. Turn it 90 degrees and read the manometer until you`ve reached the proper pressure.

I have cleaned the burners per the manual. This started as a low flame problem. I have disconnected and reconnected the gas tank. The side burner is lighting but the main burners are not. I do not hear any gas escaping when the burners are turned on.
ANSWER : Sounds as if the gas regulator isn’t allowing the gas to flow through or it has debris in the regulator. Since you said that the problem started as a low flame issue I would suggest the replacement of the regulator or valve where it hooks up to the tank.Hope this helped Dave
