A: “CTG” as it appears on the roll mark of a Smith and Wesson revolver is simply an abbreviation for the word “cartridge”. It is NOT a designation of the model of the firearm, when you see “. 38 S&W Special CTG” on the side of the gun it just means it`s chambered in . 38 special.
Special CTG revolvers. 1st item: Smith & Wesson Special . 38 caliber Military & Police Model of 1905 4th Change revolver, serial no.
Revolvers – The official serial number is located on the bottom of the butt of the frame.
38 S&W boasts a 145 to 146 grain bullet and typically has a muzzle velocity from around 620 to 767 fps. The bullet weight of . 38 Special rounds generally range from 110 to 158 grain, with muzzle velocities typically staying around 700 to 1,200 fps.
The ultra rare Smith & Wesson Model 320 was a revolving rifle produced by Smith & Wesson in the late 19th century. The Smith & Wesson Model 320 Revolving Rifle is one of Smith & Wesson`s rarest products.
38 S&W Special.
The . 500 S&W Magnum is the most powerful standardized, mass produced handgun chambering by virtue of its considerable muzzle energy (incidentally, a lengthened form of the cartridge, the .
Available in various calibers and with three diverse hammer designs, it is no surprise that the Smith & Wesson J-Frame has become the most popular, small-frame, defense revolver on the market. The Smith & Wesson Model 63 . 22/32 Kit Gun, is built on a stainless-steel J-frame and chambered in 22 Long Rifle.
American conglomerate company Bangor Punta Corp., then-owners of Smith & Wesson, purchases a controlling interest in Taurus. As sister companies, Taurus and S&W share technology, with both companies benefitting significantly from Taurus engineering and manufacturing advances.
History. Most individual manufacturers habitually put serial numbers on the weapons they produce. Such numbers can be used to ascertain the name of the manufacture, place and date of manufacture. At least for some manufacturers, a serial number can unlock myriad details about the weapon.
To Determine Manufacture Date Based on Serial Number: The 1st three numbers of your serial number will always provide your manufacture date. The 1st number is the YEAR of manufacture; the 2nd & 3rd numbers indicate the MONTH of manufacture.
The upside to . 38 Special is that it`s cheaper than . 357 Magnum (though not by much) and is a very mild cartridge to shoot from a service pistol. Snubbies get a bit snappy, which is partially why a lot of people believe the round-butt medium frame is the better pick for a fighting pistol.
40 S&W is also a more powerful round, with a higher velocity and greater stopping power than the . 38 Special.
There`s usually some difference between technical and commercial denominations of cartridges, and the . 38 Special was called “Special” to underline how it was better than the previous cartridges.
The FBI issued the Model 13 with round butt and 3″ heavy barrel shortly before switching to semi-automatic pistols. The Model 13 was the last revolver issued by the FBI. It was an unqualified success with Special Agents. The round-butt K-frame with 3” barrel in .
The black powder Colt Walker is regarded as the most powerful commercially manufactured repeating handgun from 1847 until the introduction of the .357 Magnum in 1935, having a muzzle energy nearly exactly the same as a 4-inch-barreled (10 cm) handgun firing a .357 Magnum.
After World War II, many European police units, initially disarmed—were later outfitted with weaker semi-automatic pistols. The French GIGN development of this revolver gave them a more powerful firearm at a time when other units were still carrying Walther/Manurhin PPs in .
A single action revolver has a light and smooth trigger pull, as it only needs to drop the hammer. This allows for more accurate shooting. A double action revolver has a heavier, longer trigger pull, which can be detrimental to accuracy.
38 Special was touted as a perfect women`s gun because it was small, light and super simple to operate.
Magazine Capacity. A . 38 Special can hold 5 to 6 rounds while a 9mm Luger can hold up to 18 rounds.
That`s a great instinct; S&W has been making quality 9mm pistols for more than half a century. S&W makes some of the best 9mm pistols for concealed carry, for law enforcement duty use, home defense, and for general plinking/range use as well.
9mm always has higher magazine capacity than . 40 S&W, provided you`re comparing two guns of the same size. So, in almost any context, a 9mm handgun enables you to perform better than . 40 S&W.
Colt Single Action Army Revolver

Probably the most famous of the Old West guns, the Colt six-shooter became renowned as the `gun that won the West`.

I bought a 2008 leftover 150cc wildfire atv in june 2009 when i went to pick it up it had a tough time starting i was told it was old gas but i drained it and put new gas with a little carb cleaner in it but it was still really hard to get running in late november when i went to take it out it fired rough like usual so after it sat at idle for about ten minutes i got on and everytime i gave it any thottle it would backfire really loud threw the exhaust but idled fine
ANSWER : That can be caused buy a number of things but it being November in all i would say to check for condensation in your fuel lines, I personally would not recommend mixing the carb cleaner with the gas but instead make sure lines are free of condensation, proceed with refueling with mid grade gas or regular doesn’t really matter, and while having a friend or family member start the motor spray the carb cleaner a little at a time into the carburetor and it should give it that start boost it needs to get running and also check the chock and make sure the air filter is not clogged up.. Hope this helps.. Thanks

3 year old Toro Z4200 time cutter Z, 19 HP Kohler, engine runs great, new battery, new solenoid, with the seat sensor connected or by-passed, STILL WONT start off the key switch. Clicks at the kill relay. Would the kill relay be the problem?
Whats confusing is, both the green and blue posts on the solenoid have 14.01 volts when you turn the key to ‘start’ position. Did the same thing with the old solenoid, which is probably still good. I replaced it to eliminate that variable. It also ‘clicks’ at the fuel switch at the carburetor bowl, but that is only 1 lead (I assume a hot lead) so Im thinking that CANT be it.
Using the old hillybilly method, jumping across the 2 top posts on the solenoid, with the key in on position, it will start right up, run, drive and mow just fine.
So my best guess is this ‘KILL RELAY’ must be bad?
Any help would be appreciated, thank you !
ANSWER : These things are pre requisites for engine cranking: PTO/Blades are off/button pushed down, the steering arms are out/parked position, and you are in the seat. I think. Definitely the blades have to off.

Hello, I have an old Tippman A5 (about 5-6 years
ANSWER : You will have to buy a different barrel for the A5, I would suggest ansgear.com, rockstartactical.com, or ebay. Make sure that you get the right threads along with an apex capeable front. I would suggest the sly carbon fibur barrels, or get a autococker barrel and a lapco adapter for your A5. Hope this helps if you have any questions just let me know.
