Why would you fit a stabiliser before towing a caravan? While it is not required, using a caravan stabiliser is recommended. This shouldn`t be used as a solution for a poorly loaded or maintained caravan, but instead as an extra safety feature to provide protection if something goes wrong.
Towball-mounted stabilisers
Inside is a set of friction pads that press directly on to the towball and provide resistance to hitch rotation and hence trailer sideways movement. Such a stabiliser hitch will help keep the caravan in line when passed by heavy vehicles or in a cross wind.
The main purpose of a stabiliser is to stop a trailer or caravan from becoming unstable and `”snaking” from side to side. They come in various forms and designs. The most popular types are the trailing arm leaf spring and the coupling head stabiliser.
Explanation: Fitting a stabiliser to your tow bar will help to reduce snaking by the caravan especially where there are crosswinds. However, this does not take away your responsibility to ensure that your vehicle/caravan combination is loaded correctly.

Snaking is when the caravan begins to move from side to side, away from the car. This can cause damage to the towbar and other vehicles – possibly resulting in an overturned vehicle. Alko Stabilisers will help with stabilising your caravan so you have a reduced risk of these problems occuring.

ATC detects lateral or snaking movements – and will automatically apply all caravan brakes simultaneously when oscillations become severe enough to matter.
Stabilizer and stabiliser are both English terms. Stabilizer is predominantly used in 🇺🇸 American (US) English ( en-US ) while stabiliser is predominantly used in 🇬🇧 British English (used in UK/AU/NZ) ( en-GB ). In the United States, there is a preference for “stabilizer” over “stabiliser” (100 to 0).
Tyron bands are a great way to avoid snaking in the event of a tyre blow-out. These bands are fitted to the wheel of your car or caravan and lock into place should a puncture or blow-out occur. This allows the tyre to run flat, and the driver to retain control.
Don`t use the stabiliser legs to lift the weight of the caravan. They are stabilisers – NOT jacks. They are not designed or rated to lift the weight of your van, so don`t wind them up to the point where they are trying to lift the van.

The ideal is to spread it all evenly so that no one point is significantly more loaded than another. From the factory, your car or four-wheel drive will have an ideal balance, which might be that 45 per cent of the vehicle`s mass is over the front wheels and the other 55 per cent is over the rear.
Currently, it costs £399.50 including VAT and fitting to have the ATC Trailer Control System retro-fitted to a caravan but this will rise to £400 plus VAT (equalling £470) from April 2. The rise comes after the end of the “introductory offer” announced at the launch of the system last year.

The speed limit when towing a caravan on a single carriageway is 50mph. Other drivers are permitted to travel at 60mph. This might be frustrating, however it`s crucial to stick to the speed limit for your own safety – and that of others.
If they detect that the car isn`t going in the direction you intended it to go, this feature helps correct your car back on-route by adjusting your speed and selectively braking one or more wheels. Without ESC, as this image shows, you may depart the road or get into a crash.

This system operates by using a metal leaf spring with a friction turntable at the car end to link the car`s towing bracket to the caravan`s drawbar (A-frame). As the caravan moves sideways relative to the car, the friction pads in the turntable act to resist this movement.
Cut Away Stabilizers are the most stable of all of the stabilizers and are permanent. They will continue to support your stitches for the life of the project. Cut Away is always a good choice for any project that will be worn and washed regularly. Most brands have different weights of Cut Away – Heavy, Medium, or Mesh.
The disadvantages of the stabilizer include: – low overload capacity; – the speed of the stabilizer depends on the number of steps in the additive stage; – the shape of the output voltage is significantly different from the sinusoid; – low reliability due to the large number of electronic keys.

I bought a Fujifilm Finepix A825 digital camera from my local Morrisons supermarket about 1 month ago as a Christmas present however, the camera seems to be malfunctioning. ANSWER : That means that you forced some how the lens that goes out and in when zooming or turning of/on. so, check if the lens that goes out and in the camera is perfectly straigh compare to the rest of the camer. if it is the case try to force it with your hand to put it straight.
if that is not the case, it si more serious. the lens inside migh had moved or broken meaning you have to buy a new camera.
dont waste your time fixing it it will cost you the same as a new one.

I have a TX500, never been used (just out of the box) and had to get an electrician to my home for this problem. It will start rolling but quits in a few seconds. The electrician believes that it is a problem in the sensor that rides at the belt. There is only one sensor in the pulley; he thinks that perhaps there should be two as there is a hole placement opposite the one that is in there. When the belt quits, it goes to a number 3 on the board which he thinks is the sensor as well. If he is correct, where do we get another magnet to place there? If he is not correct, please offer help. We did not get a owners manual in the box and surely could use one; where can we get one? Please help…thankyou

ANSWER : It will fit from the 1987 thu 1999 VN1500A ,B, or C (Vulcan 88) series. The VN1500D or E (Classic) will not fit.

I bought a new mossberg 590 a1 shot gun a month ago, I love the gun but its having a couple of problems, the first problem is that when shooting every once in a while i get sprayed in the face with exuast from shooting through the safety very scary! any ideas whats causing this? how to fix it? second is that some times the fireing pin sticks and the gun will not discharge a round? the third problem is that i have had feeding issues with gun where it will not realice a gound from the tube, ive taken a tip of a knife to the stuck round in the tube and it prys out with little effort, these problems dont happen every time i go shooting, just every once in a while, but they a happening more and more, im conserned cause the gun is brand new, and i wanna be safe while shooting, can you guys help me? any ideas/solutions? please help!!!!!!!
ANSWER : Personally, with that many problems, I’d call Mossberg and get a return authorization. None of these things should be happening, especially with a new gun.
