reassembled the gun. I took it apart at least 5 times before I thought it was fixed but now ive encountered another problem. I believe it has to do with the cyclone feeder not responding or something is out of line in the gun. When I picked up the gun to shoot, no paint came out so I took off the CO2 and the barrel and saw that the paintball was 1/3 inside the gun. I also have a problem when im shooting it sometimes does really fast burst. Thank you

Experienced athletes share their insights in answering this question:
Hi there. Tippmann markers are super tough to make sure that they are put back together properly. The stupid clamshell design plus all the little, under engineered parts make it difficult to get it back together properly, especially after installing a stock. I was in the paintball industry for 10 years but have been out of it for a little bit, but i was one of the founding members of Uprising Nation and was a gunsmith/ salesman for PaintballOnline.com / Xtremes. Now with that said…I even had trouble with the tippmann 98’s…and I can rebuild an autococker with my eyes closed but can sometimes be stumped by the tippy’s bad design. It is really tough to diagnose an issue on these guns without looking at it. You may have the ball detent backwards,l missing a pin, sometimes the after market stocks on those are a little too large on the outside diameter preventing the internals from properly seating. The cycloce system may be off due to the valves not meing properly aligned or the connecting rod not being in all the way. Many times though it is incorrect installation of the detent or the deternt gets damages. That little orange peice of **** flap is a mance. I would start there.

It may seem like i am bashing your gun. Im not… Once they are put together properly they work great. Just DONT TAKE THEM APART. lol. If you buy the parts at a local gun shop they will install them for free.

lol I have 6 guns for sale 🙂

Have a good day

How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

The Tippmann Cyclone Feed System links the feeder sprocket to the air system for synchronized ball feed for reduced breakage and jamming. It feeds up to 15 balls per second and includes a wide mouth 200 Round Hopper that attaches via quick release elbow.
Upgrading to a longer barrel will bring increased accuracy simply because it will be easier to aim. However, barrels that are too long will bring some drawbacks as well. A barrel length between 12 and 16 inches is ideal for improved accuracy and minimum negative effects.
Swapping your Co2 tank for a high-pressure air, or HPA, tank is probably the right move for you. This will not only allow you to shoot your paintball marker faster and more accurately, it will also improve its performance in cold temperatures.
A cyclone is a centrifugal separator in which particles, due to their mass, are pushed to the outer edges as a result of centrifugal force. Incoming air is automatically forced to adopt a fast-revolving spiral movement – the so-called “double vortex”.
Cyclone separators work much like a centrifuge, but with a continuous feed of dirty air. In a cyclone separator, dirty flue gas is fed into a chamber. The inside of the chamber creates a spiral vortex, similar to a tornado.
In cold weather the pressure can get so low that many paintball markers won`t cycle properly. Liquid CO2 is hard on the seals of your marker and can cause damage if it works it way into the solenoids of many electropneumatic markers. Thus many markers cannot use CO2.
The Preferred Markers that Pro Paintball Players use are:

Eclipse CS2 Pro is one of the most popular paintball guns used by pro players. Eclipse LV1 is comparable to the CS2. Dye M3. Field One Force.

Most people state that paintball doesn`t hurt too much; it usually feels like a firm flick. But this will depend on how fast the ball is going, the distance it travels and where on the body it hits you. Paintball injuries won`t be too extensive, but you should expect a few minor bruises and bumps after paintballing.
If you are looking to rain increased firepower down on your enemies, then a fully automatic paintball gun is an excellent choice. Here are some of our favorite fully automatic paintball guns that are guaranteed to blow your opponents away.
Make sure there are no broken paintballs in the gun hopper that feeds them into the barrel. If there are any broken balls, they will clog up in the barrel causing your gun to jam when you pull the trigger. You can use a soft cloth to clean the inside of your hopper.
Some players take their time to aim and shoot so they can conserve paintballs by hitting their target on the first shot. Other players prefer to take rapid shots. Unfortunately, some markers have more of a recoil. This affects where you have your marker aimed after the first shot is fired.
If you are quick you can, or if you see the paintball coming from a long way away, then it is possible to dodge a paintball. Smaller paintballs are harder to dodge and dark coloured paintballs are nearly impossible to dodge as you can`t see them coming.
If you use a shop vac or dust collector very often a cyclone separator is more than worth the investment. Cyclone separators typically separate 99% of the dust particles >10 microns from the air stream and deposit them into a collection bin before reaching the filter.
A feeder system is a part of an automated assembly line that moves components from one station to the next. Typically, these devices move components from a storage hopper to a processing station, or from one processing station to the next.
Feeder bands are lines of thunderstorms and moisture-laden streams of clouds that are pulled into the center of a cyclone and can often appear to spiral into the center as the cyclone rotates.

ANSWER : Personally, with that many problems, I’d call Mossberg and get a return authorization. None of these things should be happening, especially with a new gun.

I attempted to put a car stock on my Tippmann 98 custom and took apart the gun but the stock didnt fit, now when i put it back together and shot it with my tank connected the gun wont stay cocked and little CO2 is coming out with each shot the sound is very low as opposed to my other Tipmann 98 custom where its loud and stays cocked. What do i do?
ANSWER : Check the O rings on the big metal striker, make sure that you have the spring on the back (where the stock would have went) in the right hole on the back plate. Make sure that your velocity is set to a reasonable level.

My alpha black paintball gun is shooting 1 to 5 then stopping.
ANSWER : Sounds like it needs to be oiled. A couple of drops in the small hole where your bottle screws on.
Replace bottle and dry fire to see if you got it. Cleaning is just as important. Internals need to be cleaned
and lubed often. I know it’s late but hope it helps someone.

Hello, I have an old Tippman A5 (about 5-6 years
ANSWER : You will have to buy a different barrel for the A5, I would suggest ansgear.com, rockstartactical.com, or ebay. Make sure that you get the right threads along with an apex capeable front. I would suggest the sly carbon fibur barrels, or get a autococker barrel and a lapco adapter for your A5. Hope this helps if you have any questions just let me know.
