Casts fine but its like the handle is frozen. Finally got it to turn but its very very tight. Anyway I can fix it?

How to Identify and Resolve Common Issues ?

We offer a diverse range of insights on identifying and resolving common problems in sports. Our sources encompass academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays shared by seasoned athletes. :

Many anglers use monofilament because it is easier to cast and untangle. Monofilament has memory, meaning it retains its shape when bent. It is also stiffer than braided line, so it is possible to pick out a tangle caused by an overrun.
Slack fishing line is a big culprit when it comes to line tangles. As you reel in slack line, this creates loose coils on your spool. When you cast, these loose coils will come off the spool quickly compared to the line around it, causing the coils to overlap on themselves as they leave the reel and tangle up.
Misuse of spinning reels is a very common method of producing line-twist. When playing a fish, and the fish starts to peel line off the reel, an angler must stop winding. If line winding continues while line is being pulled off the reel, every turn of the reel handle will place, on average, five twists in the line.
Line twist is caused by memory in lines such as monofilament or fluorocarbon. As these lines sit on the small spinning reels used when ice fishing, is reeled against the drag when fighting a fish and continues to go through ice build ups and heat cycles line twist becomes more and more serious.
Untwist your line

Walk away holding the line and pull off thirty or forty yards. Come back to the rod and wind in the line holding the rod upright. Any twists in the line will simply come out as you wind in. That`s it, a simple no nonsense way to untwist your line.

Wrap the end of the fishing line over the spool, which is the indentation in the middle of the reel. Bring the end of the line back towards you and tie the line together in an arbor knot. An arbor knot is done by first tying an overhand knot. Tie a second overhand knot at the free end of the line.
Braid is not hard to get twisted up, but it does take some effort to untwist. First, remove the leader, knots, and hooks so that it`s just the braided line. Then you will drag it out behind the boat just like you are trolling. Let the line out until you can see where the twisted line stops.
Clear the App`s Cached Data

But if the cached data gets corrupted, it will create all sorts of problems, including Instagram Reels not working. To get the app`s feature working again, you should manually clear its cache data. Open your phone`s Settings menu. Tap Apps and select Instagram.

Line choice for spinning gear

Of the two, braided line is superior on a spinning reel. It is small in diameter, casts far, has no stretch, is incredibly strong, is extremely durable, and, most importantly, has virtually no line memory. All of these attributes make braided line a dream come true for spinning gear.

Backlashes occur when your lure slows down during or after a cast, but the spool keeps spinning, which results in a tangled mess of line.

HI!
I continually get code 90 (low/NO flow) from my 8111. I have disassembled, cleaned EVERYTHING, including the inlet port AT the pump (remind everybody to check this as stuff gets past the filter basket and will plug the pump inlet).

There is No air in the system and I get superb pressure at the outlet, yet I still get code 90. I again removed the flow sensor and put my ohm meter across the flow sensor terminals and activated the flapper and measured an open circuit. I used a heavier magnet to see if I could get make the internals of the sensor move to get an ohm reading, but I get nothing but an open circuit, ie: no measured resistance.

Can I simply bypass the defective flow sensor to trick the 8111 to think it has full flow without damaging the ‘brain’ of the system.?

Intex corp is useless at these questions. They have been out of stock on this sensor for months and are telling me “two weeks” for two months and now it’s “end of August” which I do not believe. Meanwhile I am making no chlorine while the 90 code is showing.

I love the 8111, this is the first problem I’ve had with it, and I’m frustrated that I can not get such an important part from them.

Thanks for listening!

ANSWER : Have you been able to find a solution to this problem. I am having the same issue.

Need a Popeil Pocket fisherman manual
ANSWER : For the original pocket fisherman. I believe the design has not changed. Once you do it the first time it is actually quite easy. Two things to note. Read this whole thing first.1) the location of the bail spring (Keeps the metal bail cover up so line does not get stuck when casting.Note: This is important cause the metal bail cover must rise enough so that the line casts smoothly. (A complaint about this product. But when calibrated correctly it is quite good for what it is)2) The little **** that the crank gear plastic housing will fit into (Must be on top when you put the whole bail back in. The crank shaft lip fits into that ****.You’ll get it when you see it.Remove the panel screws (2) as you did. Pop out the crank shaft (copper). **** is in top when replacing. (remember that). Remove the bail. On the top of the bail there is a screw. ( becareful and remember how the little metal bail spring in situated here. Turn upside down with metal bail cover in your palm as it conects to the bail spring). Pull off metal bail cover. The plastic line holder actually comes apart and holds a lot more line than you think. Replace line. Feed the line back up the rod. Assemble the opposite.

Think it may be a line tension problem. every
ANSWER : Try attaching the swivel to a chain link fence and walk away feeding the line completely out. Then begin reeling in the line at a normal pace with the drag set at max, after 10-15 turns decrease the drag a full turn. continue doing this until the line is fully retrieved. then set the drag as you normally would before fishing. Sometimes the line gets twisted while fishing which cause the tangles and backlashes. Make sure you use a barrel swivel also.
