A 5 Standard Paintball Gun

Experienced athletes share their insights in answering this question:
Yup.. ultimately that’s all you have to do. There’s no setup other than that, but to play you really want to use a chronograph to check the speed of the paintball. That is adjustable and the staff at your nearest paintball store or field can certainly line you up properly.Good luck!Play hard, play safe, play with honor!

Tippmann 98 Custom Platinum Series Paintball Marker Gun Ultra Basic, Semi-Auto.
Our of the box, The Tippmann 98 custom is a semi-automatic paintball gun, with a decent fire rate of 8 balls per second.
As a true fully automatic pistol the G18 is one of the most specialized GLOCK pistols. With an external fire selector at the rear of the slide you can switch from semi-automatic to full-automatic firing mode.
If you are looking to rain increased firepower down on your enemies, then a fully automatic paintball gun is an excellent choice. Here are some of our favorite fully automatic paintball guns that are guaranteed to blow your opponents away.
Firing Velocity & Speed °: 260 FPS – 315 FPS. Double Trigger °: No.
Most machine guns are belt-fed weapons that fire from 500 to 1,000 rounds per minute and will continue to fire as long as the trigger is held back or until the supply of ammunition is exhausted.
CO2 (Carbon Dioxide) was the first propellant used in paintball and set the standard for many years. For paintball purposes we use it in two types of vessels, 12 Gram Cartridges (used in paintball pistols such as the Tiberius and Miltec and stockclass pump markers like the Phantom) and refillable CO2 Tanks.
The main advantage of compressed air is that it will perform more consistently than CO2, especially during high-speed shooting. It will also not be as affected as CO2 by environmental conditions like temperature, making it a much better choice for paintballing outdoors in cooler weather.
Paintball cylinders need to be retested for its serviceability every three to five years. They also only have a lifespan of 15 years. HYDROSTATIC TEST or HYDROTEST – The tank is visually inspected for cracks then is pressurized with water to look for a drop in pressure or to see if there are any leaks.
Once you`ve held the marker in position, it`s time to take your aim. Point to note: you`ll need to keep both your eyes open to aim and shoot a paintball gun successfully. Keep your eyes on the target while aiming through the barrel.
It really is easy to play and once you get over your initial nerves you`ll be fine. Paintball is all about fun, it`s the ideal excuse to get outside, socialise, exercise and think strategically.
Glock switches: Illegal devices that turn pistols into machine guns.
The 1986 Hughes Amendment to the Firearms Owners Protection Act makes it illegal to purchase or own a newly manufactured fully automatic weapon. Such firearms are only allowed for use by military or law enforcement units and new weapons can only be procured through authorized manufacturers for those units.
Max Velocity: 285 Feet Per Second All paintball markers must be set at 285 fps, no higher (rental equipment is pre-set at this speed). Players may be asked to be chronographed at any time in the day. Excessive velocity speeds may result in ejection from park. Watch where you shoot!
Some players take their time to aim and shoot so they can conserve paintballs by hitting their target on the first shot. Other players prefer to take rapid shots. Unfortunately, some markers have more of a recoil. This affects where you have your marker aimed after the first shot is fired.
300FPS for a pistol is completely fine. This is because pistols are primarily meant to be used in close-quarters. Most targets in close quarters environments are within 25 feet. 300FPS is more than enough to reach that distance effectively.
Comparisons with rifle bullets

A 1 oz. (437.5 grain) 2 3/4-inch Foster 12 gauge shotgun slug achieves a velocity of approximately 1,560 fps (475 m/s) with a muzzle energy of 2,363 ft. lbs (3204 J). 3-inch slugs travel at around 1,760 fps with a muzzle energy of 3,105 ft-lbs.

For pistols, it is much more normal to see the 150 to 200 FPS range. While for assault rifles, ones below an FPS of 250 are generally not effective. A good FPS for an assault rifle would be anywhere from 300 to 400 FPS. Anything beyond 500 FPS is generally disallowed in most airsoft events due to safety concerns.
For instance, among pistols, the Desert Eagle is famous for its felt recoil, while among rifles, the Barrett M82A1 . 50 caliber probably takes the cake. If you are talking about shotguns, 10-gauge shotguns generally deliver the most kick.
Compatible with all standard paintball markers that operate on High Pressure Air * High quality aluminum high-pressure compressed air tank designed with safety as a top priority * 11″ Length x 3.75″ Width * Tank Weight when Empty: ~1.9 lbs.
Pressurised air enables HPA guns to have faster rates of fire, be quieter, and have a higher FPS than electric and gas airsoft guns, making HPA guns a great choice for anyone who wants to airsoft competitively.
HPA is superior to CO2 in this regard. Filling CO2 takes time. You must fill CO2 part way, vent some, then continue filling. This allows the gas to cool so you get maximum volume.
The most common gas used for airsoft guns is propane or “green gas.” Another type of gas used is CO2, which can be used for both rifles and pistols.
Nitrogen (N2) is an excellent alternative to CO2. Nitrogen is an inert gas, this means it will not react with prepared food materials. Nitrogen gas can be used as an alternative in food packaging, brewing and wine making. By installing a Nitrogen Generator customers can have their own N2 supply on demand.

98 Custom Act Paintball Gun: i have just brought a 98 tippmann custom and it ha…
ANSWER : Basically speaking, air is air. Now it’s the pressure that’s the concern. co2 bottles use a regular valve that has a pin in it and opens to allow the gas through. High Pressure Air – HPA is the same concept but since the pressure with co2 is built up by expanding gas, HPA has to do it with pressure only. So the tank is pressurized a LOT higher than co2, but there’s a regulator on the tank valve to bring the working pressure into the marker to the proper level. So yes, you can use “air”, but you need to make sure it has the right output for your marker. (i.e. not a low pressure HPA valve.). You’ll have the same problem though, getting someone to fill the bottle. Check with your local airsmith and paintball fields and stores. If they have co2 they would have HPA, but some do only deal with HPA since it’s “easier” in some cases. You may have to check around. Sometimes hardware stores have a small section in back, or you can check with the paintball places around to see if anyone in your area is equipped. Some teams have their own tanks, especially if there’s not a place to get fills locally. There’s also online communities like Brigade and various paintball sites where you can check around for other players. Someone may have a co2 fill tank, a scuba tank for HPA, or a group that gets tanks together to make a run and get them filled somewhere.Good luck!

Hiya I have a fujifilm e-900 I have used the camera less than 20 times. The last time I used it I had no problems at all. I had left it sitting in it’s case for 6 months. Now when I try and us it I get the hand with lightning bolt on the lcd. Which I assume means the battery encasement is open. It isn’t open. The camera turns on no problem then when I try and use any function it shuts down. How do I fix this?
ANSWER : The hand with the lightning bolt icon usually means the camera is telling you that there is not enough light and you need to pop the flash up before you take a picture.
If you haven’t used the camera for a while have you tried fresh batteries or charged the 2 re chargeable AA’s that came with the camera?

I have a multifunction sports watch that i bought from Big W, (no brand name)

By accident i set the watch to 24 hour time, originally it was set to 12 hour time, how do i set it back? ive tried every button combo including the button combo i used when i accidently set it on 24 hour time, the instructions only say how to set the time and date, it doesnt say how to toggle between 12 hour and 24 hour time, is there a generic way to toggle it on sparts watches? btw, holding the mode button in does nothing on my watch, no matter how long i hold it in for

ANSWER : Hi. How may buttons do you have, 3 or 4 buttons?if you have the 4 buttons, try this:You need to go through the time and date settings again. The 24 and 12hr format select is at the end of time/date adjustment. To set the time and date:-press the top-left button then right-top button to set the seconds, press bottom-left button to set hour then press top-right button to adjust hour, press bottom-left button to set the minute then press top-right button to adjust minute. To set date, press the bottom-left button then press top-right button to adjust month, press bottom-left button then top-right button to adjust day and finally press bottom-left button to set the time format then press top-right button to select 12hour format. Press top-left button when done.Since you have a generic sports watch, it is hard to write specific instructions to set the time format. If your watch has different ways of setting the time, just remember that the 12/24hour format is usually at the end of time and date adjustment.Let me know if you have questions. Good luck.

Cannot adjust velocity
ANSWER : Please see below page 8 for picture of what I am talking about.

On page 8 in the middle left side is a picture of the internal vale parts.

When you pull the valve out on the back side is a little o ring that can be taken out using an o ring pick. Make sure to watch the way the parts come out and look for any rust, also broken o rings if the valve is stuck open this will allow the maximum of air to pass. Most of time is this part that is messed up. You can by the valve in one unit this is the best option.

But the first thing is to check the valve and all the parts. Lube it up and re install it.

My Tippmann 98 Custom ACT will not fire higher than 190 fps regardless of how I adjust my velocity screw. Do I need a new power tube set up?
ANSWER : Well, the power tube probably isn’t the problem. I’d make sure your marker is clean, and lubed with a good oil made for paintball.Next, inspect the spring. Any kind of kink or damage will affect performance. Also, make sure you’re testing it with a full tank.. don’t let low air pressure skew your diagnostics.Good luck!

I just bought a new tippmann 98 custom act platinum edition and it doesnt seem to be firing right. i upgrades the rear bolt and trigger and after a few shots the bolt lock in the firing position. if i pull the trigger forward there is a click and then it will fire, but imediatly lock up again
ANSWER : I would look in to the bolt and check that it moves freely, also check that is properly lubed, and finally that your upgrade bolt does not need a different spring. I would also check the batteries on the grip if it is an E-trigger.
