Gas lanterns are incandescent lights. They burn a fuel like propane, white gas or kerosene to produce heat, and the heat causes the mantles to produce light. The mantles are a ceramic mesh that encase the flame produced by the lantern.
The problem of an appliance not lighting is usually caused by one of two things. Either the generator is clogged-up with soot, or the fuel & air tube is blocked by dirt or varnish. Lanterns. (go to stoves) Give it 30 or 40 pumps to really pressurize it well.

propane cylinder will power the lantern for up to 4.3 hours on high and 9.25 hours on low.

If your lantern has an attached LED candle, unscrew the candle and remove it. Thread your lights through the round hold on the bottom of the lantern. If your lantern did not have an LED candle, find a gap to thread the lights through. Use a small piece of painter`s tape to secure the cord to the bottom of the lantern.
Historically called white gas, it is a liquid petroleum fuel (100% light hydrotreated distillate), composed of cyclohexane, nonane, octane, heptane, and pentane.
Check the bug screen: Bug screens exist to block insects from getting into your gas lantern. If the screen becomes obstructed, there won`t be enough oxygen in your gas lamp and the flame will be smothered. Check your bug screen for obstructions and use air to clean it. If it won`t come clean, replace the bug screen.
If the low fuel warning light does not come on, it indicates that either the vehicle was not driven long enough to make the light come on, or that the sensor on the fuel pump has failed. For the fuel warning light, check the wiring between the fuel pump level sensor and the dashboard for resistance.
Sky lanterns are made from paper-covered wire or a bamboo frame with a candle inside. The heat from the candle lifts the lantern into the air where it can float for miles. Once extinguished, the lantern falls back to the ground where it becomes hazardous to animals and the environment.

Hi, my tiger river spa does not heat. Filters are clean, jets work, no light installed. On ciruit board, green light for “Lim” , red light for heat, no other lights. Just bought house one month ago, no manuals.
Spa is a Bengal. Have noticed a symbol (can’t tell what it is) on the screen then most of screen goes blank with just the power light on. Is there a vacation mode or something like that?
Thanks for your help.

Also it could be burnt out heaters thereby the inability to produce heat. The indicator on the screen could mean various things but the screen going blank usually would be caused by poor power supply. If you dont have the technical know how refer an expert to check it out and ensure the exact problem of the above mentioned is wrong with it before repairs can be carried out.Hope this solution has been helpful?

I have had two small Coleman ‘Frontier PZ’ propane lanterns for a number of years with no problems. Last year one of them started shutting down for no apparent reason – it would light normally, burn for 4 – 5 minutes and then go out. This summer the second lantern has started doing the same thing. Changing gas cylinders seems to have no effect, nor does a new mantle fix the problem. It’s hard to be certain but as I can’t hear any gas hissing it’s as if the jet gets blocked after a few minutes alight. Turn off the gas, leave the lantern alone for a while and it will relight ok, though it will still only burn for a few minutes before going out again. Any ideas?
ANSWER : There is something in the jets or the piping to the mantels, you my find spider webing there, if you did no cap the port where the tank goes some small friends might have wanted to go camping with you.
