To arrive at the most appropriate carburetor choice, there`s a basic formula: engine displacement multiplied by maximum rpm divided by 3,456. For example: a typical 355ci small-block—a 0.030-over rebuild—with a 6,000-rpm max engine speed would work well with a 616-cfm carb ((355 x 6,000) 3,456 = 616.32).
While the carburetor may have been around for over a century, fuel injection is a clearly superior alternative, delivering better power, fuel economy and lower emissions.
The carburetor is attached to the throttle cable, which is attached to the gas pedal. When you push down on the gas, you`re literally causing the carburetor to open up and pull in more air, thus pulling in more fuel as well, bringing more power and speed out of the engine.
With a 1000cc engine producing upwards of 170 hp, this bike can reach a top speed of 185 mph and complete its 0-60 mph in just under three seconds.
Industrial engines typically produce about 3 HP for every 100cc of displacement. High performance automotive engines can produce 7 HP for every 100cc, as do many two-stroke engines.
It is recommended that only teenagers from the age of 16-years upward consider riding a 250cc dirt bike. Even so, you should only consider this bike for your kid if they are tall for their age and have the experience and strength to be able to tame a 250cc dirt bike.
450cc bikes are much faster than 250cc bikes, but you don`t want to choose bikes based on how fast they go. Take into consideration your weight, height, and riding ability, to make the right decision on which bike would suit you best on the track.

Although fuel injection is by far the most effective and efficient form of fuel delivery, carburetors do offer their own set of benefits. Although fuel injection delivers more precise air-to-fuel ratios, it is significantly more costly and difficult to maintain than carburettors.
If a carb is a little big you`ll be OK, but if it`s truly oversized you`ll have a sluggish throttle and the car will tend to bog. Think of it this way: A 950 cfm carb has a larger area to flow though compared to a 650 cfm carb.

Leaded gas
This type of gas is often recommended for race cars with carbureted engines and those without oxygen sensors.

Keeping a clean carburetor helps your engine work properly, prevents corrosion and saves the need for costly replacements. It will also help the vehicle maintain efficiency in gas mileage and engine power.
Steel tanks on carbureted or fuel-injected bikes can rust inside, so it`s best to leave them at least ¾ full of fuel to which you have added stabilizer (more on this later).

ANSWER : Find out whether it is 6 volts or 12 volts and there should be two wires that feed the motor either cut or splice and attach another set of wires with fuse in the line (simular to jumper cables) raise the back tire so it does not touch the ground and place jump wires to the negative and positive of the battery.If the motor moves in either direction without blowing the fuse the motor is good if not then its bad.
