Answer. Yellow squash or summer squash can be frozen but must be blanched prior to freezing to inactivate naturally occurring enzymes to prevent spoiling while frozen.
Place yellow squash slices on a baking tray in a single layer and put it in the freezer for about 20 minutes, or until the slices begin to harden. This stops them from clumping together when frozen. Place the slices into freezer bags. Squeeze out the excess air, then seal the bags.
More good news: It does fine whether frozen raw or cooked. And the fact that yours has been cut into small chunks is no problem. You can freeze raw butternut squash pieces in the same way you would freeze berries: Place them on a baking sheet, spaced out so they don`t touch each other, and freeze until very firm.
Can I freeze zucchini without blanching it? Yes, you absolutely can freeze zucchini without boiling or cooking it! Instead of cutting it into slices, you will need to grate or shred the zucchini before freezing. Storing it like this will save you quite a bit of time.
Follow these steps to prepare the zucchini and/or summer squash for freezing: Wash the squash and cut off the blossom and stem ends. There`s no need to peel the squash.
We recommend preserving summer squash or zucchini by pickling or freezing. Summer squash is good for you. It is low in calories and many varieties provide vitamin C, potassium and, if the skin is eaten, beta carotene. Preserve summer squash by freezing, pickle them for canning or dry them.
Wash the squash and cut it into ½-inch slices. Water blanch the squash for 3 minutes. Cool the squash in ice water, drain, and package it in rigid freezer containers. Leave ½ inch of headspace before sealing and freezing.
Can you freeze squash without cooking it? Yes! Prep your squash by peeling, removing the seeds and chopping then add to the freezer. Skip the steps of roasting, blanching or sautéing prior to freezing.
Properly packaged and frozen, squash should maintain high quality for approximately 10 months in the freezer.

Carefully slice each squash into slices that are about 1/4 inch thick. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Then carefully drop the squash into the pot and blanch for 2-3 minutes max. While the squash is in the boiling water, go ahead and prepare your freezer bags to put the squash in to freeze.

ANSWER : Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won’t run down your camera’s batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system’s drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer’s hard drive, the same way you copy any other files.
