Anti-Reverse on a spinning reel is a feature that prevents the reel from turning backwards and engages the drag. Some reels come with an Anti Reverse switch that allows the angler to choose whether it is engaged or not. This feature has helped people “back-reel” rather than allowing the drag to fight the fish.
An instant anti-reverse prevents the rotor from moving backwards instantaneously insuring solid hooksets. Instant anti-reverses use a roller bearing for immediate engagement unlike a multi stop which relies on a series of teeth. The gaps between the teeth of a multi stop result in back play thus delaying hooksets.

What causes backlash? Backlash is the result of the spool turning faster than line can leave the spool. This occurs when the lure, as it flies through the air, is met with resistance causing it to slow down. Resistance includes things like the wind or hitting a solid object.
Tension. The spool tension knob controls how easily your spool spins. Avoiding backlash largely depends on ensuring your spool and your line spin at the same rate, controlled via the spool tension knob. Backlash occurs when the spool spins faster than the line coming through the guide.
Ask a saltwater guide and 95% of them will tell you the correct way is to always reel with your dominant hand. Ask a trout fisherman and most will say you should reel with the hand opposite your casting hand, because that way you don`t have to switch hands in the middle of fighting a fish to reel.

Made very well and a great price a lot cheaper than in the store I would buy again I am used to a shorter pole handle don`t care for the long pole grip but will get used to it Zebco has been around for many years and still make good cheap fishing poles.
Monofilament line causes the least backlash and is the easiest fishing line to untangle than a braided line or fluorocarbon line. A heavy lure works better for baitcasting when you`re just beginning.
“With braid, a backlash isn`t usually as hard to get loose if you don`t pull too hard,” he said.
Mono line tends to be best for live bait fishing, trolling, and kite fishing. On the other hand, braided line works well for bottomfishing and jigging, fishing kelp, fishing structure, and casting plugs and lures.
Conclusion. You should use 8-10 lb. monofilament as backing for your spinning reel. Any heavier than that and you start running into problems like your braid not laying flat along the backing or your braid getting caught in the mono to braid knot.
Braid is the best line for baitcaster because it has virtually zero memory. Hold it up, and you`ll notice that it`s very soft and malleable (so to speak) and doesn`t hold a particular shape. And if it does, you can reshape it fairly easily and quickly.
On a spinning reel, your power arm would be on the rod for lifting, whereas your reel would be reeled in with your weaker arm. This is why most spinning reels were left handed, and most baitcasting reels were right handed. Left handed baitcasting reels for the most part were non-existent.
Not all fly reels have an anti-reverse bearing since it makes them heavy and messes with the drag setting. A few reels, such as the Tibor anti-reverse fly reel, feature this bearing.

I have a multifunction sports watch that i bought from Big W, (no brand name)
By accident i set the watch to 24 hour time, originally it was set to 12 hour time, how do i set it back? ive tried every button combo including the button combo i used when i accidently set it on 24 hour time, the instructions only say how to set the time and date, it doesnt say how to toggle between 12 hour and 24 hour time, is there a generic way to toggle it on sparts watches? btw, holding the mode button in does nothing on my watch, no matter how long i hold it in for
ANSWER : Hi. How may buttons do you have, 3 or 4 buttons?if you have the 4 buttons, try this:You need to go through the time and date settings again. The 24 and 12hr format select is at the end of time/date adjustment.To set the time and date:-press the top-left button then right-top button to set the seconds, press bottom-left button to set hour then press top-right button to adjust hour, press bottom-left button to set the minute then press top-right button to adjust minute. To set date, press the bottom-left button then press top-right button to adjust month, press bottom-left button then top-right button to adjust day and finally press bottom-left button to set the time format then press top-right button to select 12hour format. Press top-left button when done.Since you have a generic sports watch, it is hard to write specific instructions to set the time format. My swimming pool. I have just had my fifth IC 40 Intellichlor chlorine generator installed in 4 years at a cost of over $900 today. Each one has worked for no more than 8 months. The first three were replaces under three year warranty, the fourth by a factory rep and I bought the fifth today. The first three all failed with Flow Chk PCB error message. The fourth just stopped working on Sunday, no power or lights. A local Pentair warranty person, whom I paid a Service Call, unplugged the unit, opened the small power center cover, showed me the green light indicating that there was power, plugged in a new IC 40 which worked immediately (as did the other four). I asked if I should replace the power center and he said that it’s basically just a transformer and is working fine. We do get occasional power blips that make the clocks on microwaves, etc blink, but I thought that the power center essentially isolates the cell from these. I do have a Florida Power and Light surge protector on the electrical box that brings power into the house. I have now talked to the pool builder, two Pentair warranty repairmen and one factory rep. I am at a loss. They all tell me they have no idea why these units fail after less than a year. This last IC 40 was installed 3/24/2010, version 2.0 and now failed in less than 5 months. Should I replace the power center that the IC 40 plugs into. Any other suggestions. I have been told that this is the best chlorinator. I don’t want to keep replacing units. By the way, each unit had been spotless inside. I keep the water chemicals and salt levels at ideal levels. The units have never worked long enough to get dirty inside. The power center is connected to an Intellitouch control system outside with an indoor control panel. Last time I called Pentair North Carolina and got some smart alec tech person that had no suggestions. Please Help if you can.

I have a wildwood le 25bhbs and the only towing lights working are my signal lights. can’t get running lights or brake lights to work. I saw where it looked like the towing harness may have been pinched. So I repaired that, but, they still do not work. Any ideas? Is there a fuse somewhere I need to check? Do I need to hook the trailer up to my trailer hitch before they will work? Is there a wiring diagram or repair manual somewhere I can get? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you are trying to get something for nothing…Don’t waste my time! Remember if something sounds to good to be true that it usually is. I’ve spent many years of my life trying to cheat the system and was pretty good at it. This all changed when I discovered that people were doing the same thing to me. What comes around, goes around. Karma! Now I assist people in making win-win deals…that are legit!

My reebok i run treadmill was working fine,till my son pulled out the safty key.Now it won”t work at all ! The light is working on the on off switch,but the display is not on nor the belt moving.I have put the key back in,and tryed turning it off for a few minutes.But nothing is happening,there is a small button by the on off switch,not sure if its a reset button, but it is doing nothing, please help. 🙁 x

Motor no longer seems to work – have already tried new batteries
ANSWER : If the motor is exposed to the elements, rain water may enter the casing and freeze up the motor shaft, brushes, and windings can short out. May need replacing.
