Hi there,
This unit can measure distances in yards or meters.
The unit of measure indicators are located in the “lower right portion of the LCD display”.
1) Press and release the POWER button (on top of the unit) to turn it on.
2) To select between yards and meters, look through the eyepiece, then depress the “MODE” button and HOLD the button for approx. 5 sec’s.
The “Y” indicator will illuminate and will now be set for YARDS. Repeat this procedure to change back to meters (the “M” indicator will illuminate if set to meters).
Whichever measure you have set the unit to, it will retain this setting in memory when the unit is turned off/on again.
Cheers,

The higher the EBL value the more accurate your camera can be.

GPS rangefinders can be a great tool for seeing general information as they usually show the distance to the front, middle, and back of the green (plus the distance to a few hazards). This information can be really helpful when the green is out of view or when trying to avoid hazards near the green.
The very first rangefinder was developed by a Scottish company called Barr and Stroud in the 1880`s. It wasn`t until World War II when the first electronic rangefinder was used.
